I thought it was just an E3 joke, but they definitely won some brownie points with me when I found out it was legit shortly thereafter

  • The Wyvern fact is a bit of Misinformation. Wyverns are generally a type of dragon and can't breathe fire and have venomous tails. Considering that the dragons in Skyrim can breathe fire and lack the venomous tail, it's still more accurate to call them Dragons.

    @VelociraptorsOfSkyrim@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim5 жыл бұрын
    • @Muriel Grothendick Wytherns don't breathe fire, they actually breathe venom. I've seen a movie about wytherns and the wytherns in that movie spit venom and had a venomous tail. In real life, all dragons are depicted having two legs and two wings

      @Chisszaru@Chisszaru4 жыл бұрын
    • I think they were referring to the difference as it would be in D&D

      @harperthegoblin@harperthegoblin3 жыл бұрын
    • @@harperthegoblin they were not though. Wyverns aren't really dragons at all, cause let's be honest here, wyverns are not dragons. Wyverns are a smaller cousin to the dragons, but are different in that they can't grow bigger than a Belgian draft horse, only a bittä longer but roughly the size of a Draft horse. Dragons are way bigger and is usually big enough to wipe out whole civilizations in mere seconds. For wyverns it takes at least 1,900 years to do just that. And wyverns can't breathe fire, ice or anything like that. Wyverns can only breathe poison and they're not as deadly as dragons. Plus, the only dragons written down in history, either by runes, textbooks or through words only have 2 legs so, that entire thing with having 4 legs are a misconsuption made by media and by early accounts of dinosaur fossils. Even the Asian dragons are almost exclusivly depicted having only 2 legs, so that's that really

The others had arrived outside just after he shouted at me, so all they saw was me picking myself back up. The oldest mention of dragons described multi-headed creatures with up to a dozen legs, both with and without wings. The oldest references I can find concerning "wyverns" doesn't even include wings, only calling them great reptilian beasts with venom that could kill a god.

  • The kids are just marked as essential, meaning unkillable. So nothing was disabled or removed, they're just protected. You don't need mods to make them killable either, just open the console and flag them as non-essential. This can be done to any NPC that is essential as many NPCs are flagged as such to avoid breaking major quests and the like.

  • The White Gold Concordat doesn't actually give the Thalmor the rights to detain and kill Talos Worshippers. The Empire was supposed to the ones to suppress Talos Worship but they don't suppress it, in Skyrim Alvarr & Hadvar from Riverwood mention that prior to the Stormcloak rebellion everyone in Skyrim still worshipped Talos and also had private shrines of Talos in thier homes and the Empire didn't do anything to stop them. After the Markath incident and Ulfric beginning his rebellion, the Thalmor took it upon themselves to eradicate Talos Worship, thinking that if the Empire doesn't do it they will. So Ulfric is responsible personally for everyone in Skyrim who has been taken away & killed for worshipping Talos. The Empire has a large army camped along the border of Cyrodil & Valenwood. To be ready when the Aldmeri Dominion attacks again.

I have started new games over time since owning the game and the character I have now is level 58 and I have is abilities building up quite nicely. I hope the new elder scrolls is just as good if not better. Love this game even after all these years I still find new things going on in this game. Thank you Bethesda for making wonderful games over the years.keep ip the wonderful work.

  • Another fact: Draugar (Plural of Draugr) are actual creatures within Norse mythology which have mind control, reading and psychological powers. They can also shapeshift, "swim" through walls and are near perfectly replicated aesthetically in game. Worst part is, as a religious Norse pagan, I do believe Draugar exist and are the "demons" which are encountered in ghost shows, explaining why they're always little girls in white dresses (on account of them being able to tap into our fears). However, Draugar are not dragon priests, they are actually merely people who drowned at sea, died sitting/standing upright or were not properly buried. Fuck dragons dude, Draugar are so much scarier.

  • With Dawnguard NPCs no longer attack you on sight. Now all they do is pointing out how pale you are and what scary eyes you have. Expect the members of the Dawnguard they always attack. Not even the Vigilantes of Stendarr is that eager to attack you. Even if you happen to have two Dremora Lords with you.
