the reason it limits charging to a certain percent is to extend the battery's lifetime i believe. costs less cycles to charge to, say, 80%. this is also something you should do with your phone, if you don't upgrade it every year.

You mentioned the mileage not being accurate. That's because the map and battery mileage doesn't account for the weight of the car, weather or other factors that might reduce the overall mileage. The mileage is just based on the most you could get from the battery if it has 1 driver and the rest of the car is empty with good weather. Also the temperature of the battery also matters as well as the age (the older the battery the less mileage)

The thing I find with electric cars is that the stops usually come at a time when you kinda want to, or at least *should* take a break anyway. The average gas fill up takes 10 mins anyway and some cars can get to like 80% in 15 or 20 I think, a bit faster charging and maybe a little bit of extra range and they’d be perfect. Also, you can sit in the car and play games, watch tv, etc. Not just crappy mobile games either, you can play Witcher 3 on a Tesla.
I dont mind waiting 20 mins for a car charge.

That's not really autopilot, it's more like assisted driving
Well as of now it's kind of in-between. It's more than just assisted driving as the car can do pretty much anything alone in roads that do not have intersections. The car will take proper exits, will change lanes and adjust its speed depending on the cars around, as well as steer itself (obviously) to stay on course. Tesla already has functional full self driving versions of the autopilot software and should release it in the coming months if legislations allows it.
So, pretty much exactly like autopilot then? 🤔

There is something about driving a rental up I-35 through Oklahoma.. I make trips up that route 2 times a week. My car broke down so I got a rental for 4 weeks and got pulled over 6 times. For various odd reasons.. Changing Lanes too quickly... driving too close to a semi... It was a very odd experience.

Limiting the level of charge drastically cuts down on charging time and helps prevent battery degradation. The last 20% of the battery take a lot longer to charge.
Two words: dual motor. Still not as efficient as a gas car range wise, but definitely not the low range a single motor gets you. Had one for about a year, super fun car.

Everything about this is car is good EXCEPT the charging and spee part. I wish they added more powerful batteries to hold more miles. And idk how they would fix the speed though. The only thing i can think of to increase the speed of the vehicle while also keeping it echo friendly is inventing some kind of echo friendly engine. Iam not an engineer soo idk how.
