  • My dad was a PHD marine biologist, he couldn’t walk or sail past a bit of rubbish in a body of water; I remember as a kid seeing him risk his safety over and over again just to fish a small piece of rubbish out of the water.     • I don't think the Dominican Republic's government can do anything considering how little funding they get, a lot of the less developed parts of the Dominican have no other choice than to dump it in their rivers, but they are working with the UN to try and figure out long term solutions to their problem
