    • @@kyorikusagami84 I know, but Völler did really good in general with one of the worst German generation of all time, and if you look closely at that infamous game, the result was truly bizarre whereby Germany was really peer to peer with the English having wasted several opportunities, however the latter converted all their chances efficiently into goals in a rare situation. That's being said, Völler managed to beat England at Wembly, beat Spain 4-1, took this German average side to the 2002 WC final with 5 wins and one draw, and had to play the final without his only star Ballack against a golden Brazilian generation (Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho, Cafu, Lucio, and Gilberto Silva). He also succeeded in the Euro 2004 qualification by keeping his record clean of losses with 5 wins and 3 draws, however I only blame him in the finals for his worst two games in his national spell against Lativa (0-0) and his top worst game ever against the Czech reserves (1-2).

    • Ditto. Fascinated with them since 1974. When they are doing their thing, it's a whole unique vibe. As Brazil do when things are going right. Both-Brazil, and the champs "West Germany"-were in the final 4 of that World Cup of '74 (along with Cruyff's Netherlands) that beautiful summer I fell in love with the game.

  • A win over france proves that this German team have talent and all the capabilites! Maybe it just didn't click for Hansi ? + i felt in this match players mentality were far better than previous performances the way they show intense attacking play from the first whistle. Now let's hope they find a good coach who can move them on for Euros ~

    • Right for German football, the dangerous thing for the rest. Germany at beast mode, has the ablity to smash everyone silly. in 2014 world cup, they beat CR7, Benezema, Messi teams and humilated the hosts at their own backyard. They are missing a coach who can make the team play together as a force and they have many UCL winners at club level at their ranks.

    • @@roro-op1ks haven't seen Kounde much after the world cup so can't say. But Upamecano has been stinking it up for Bayern since last season. Lucas has been injured since world cup but his brother Theo is stellar. Dembele is a good dribbler with no finishing but surely would have added some pace. But I don't know why Dembele gets the preference over Kingsley Coman, he's a more consistent player and immediately made the difference in world cup.
