This is one of my favorite videos on youtube. The initial silence throughout the hall, the dude quietly filming in the corner, his concentration, and then his elation after completing the lift. It's poetic.

He cried the scream of a thousand demons, readying for the battle of centuries worth of tensions. When he yelled the angels looked down in fright, a foreshadow for what is to come. The death and anguish of heaven's creatures, at the hands of brute strength.

His pull is flawless. Yes he catches it behind his head but so does his younger brother. Thats where some people catch their snatch because of their body structure. He is a world record holder and junior world record holder and is snatch 3.5kg over his world record in this lift. If you have the nerve to say something bad about that then you should atleast be a good lifter which you are not.
@bejjeagle16 жыл бұрын
it would be in the 105 class, but it was in training not a comp, he was also probably 105+ when he did this; still an amazing lift

if you were a good lifter you'd realize that if someone's snatching 202.5k they're doing a lot more things right than they are wrong there's no point in saying something's not perfect because perfect "classical" technique is impossible to achieve when you put meaningful weight on the bar and this is hardly an ugly lift - "arms behind his head, chest is down," that's a classic Dolega receiving position, and you've got no basis for saying he's lifting where he is so he's got a running start

@ozwunder69 Based on what? If there are a handful of guys who can snatch 200kg in this weight class, and not many of them can do it in competition. Why do you think that is? They have a better technique? they are weaker? Why would Dolega be essentially a better lifter so he could lift more with a poorer technique? He might not be consistent, but when someone lifts world records in weightlifting, the technique is very efficient - and that is what is GOOD technique in weightlifting.
