And the accent that you have is no joke, I think you really have to live in Scotland to be use to it, especially for someone who's not Brit...or a native English speaker should I say, it almost sounds like a different language. Ryn is a beautiful name by the way, never heard or seen before.

    • 18 75 You’re still British citizens. And actually, the Scottish and English parliament merged together as a Union in a vote in 1707 🤣 and guess who voted in agreement to the Union? The Scottish parliament. The Crowns were united before in 1603 when James VI of Scotland became James I of England. So...really, you guys created Britain. 🤷🏻‍♀️

      @laurabowden5@laurabowden54 жыл бұрын
    • Laura Bowden John Clerk was one of the members of the scottish parliament who voted for the union. He later wrote a book about it in laidinn where he said that not 1% of the scottish people were in favour of the union, but it was english policy “either to destroy us or force us into union”. 1603 was the death of scottish monarchy and not in a good way that ad be in favour of, but as with 1707 where scots didn’t agree with the nobles in charge of us, scots in 1603 disagreed with monarchy union and loss of their liberties and culture. If you’re reading up any scottish history books, try and make sure its written by someone scottish or someone with scottish interest!
