I'm still sad about the Butler loses. to have an unknown school from Indianapolis be so dominant in the tourney was special
I was a big 10 & butler fan, and all I had to show for it was a 2000 championship from Michigan St. I don’t really care about school and conference pride anymore these days. Probably got tired of losing. Indiana lost to Maryland (ACC back then), Illinois (one of my all-time favs) lost to UNC in 2005, Ohio St to Florida, Michigan St to UNC, Butler to Duke and then UConn, Michigan to Louisville who then had their wins vacated, Wisconsin to Duke, Michigan to ‘Nova. There were also near-championship runs. So much loss.
Now think about how devastating it was for me, a Butler fan from Indianapolis that was the ball boy at the time of both Championship runs, knowing the players and coaches personally, having attended every game at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse, to watch it just barely rim out 50 feet away from where I was sitting....
Agreed. I rooted for them both times as they used to be in the HL.
@@falconhoward4032I thought you were a purdue fan
Kemba taking UConn thru the entire tournament was just An amazing thing to watch back in the day.
I absolutely agree
I think the 2011 run by Uconn is the best March run of all time. 11 wins In a row and IIRC 8 were against top 25 teams.
I feel like if I see that Gordon Hayward shot enough times, eventually one time it'll go in.
I know everytime I see it I wince as if it's going to fall. Crazy what the mind does.
its kind of hilarious how big a difference hd video changes from 2008 to 2009
I've noticed that on football videos too. It's a DRASTIC DIFFERENCE! LOL
So true! You watch older games and it's hard to believe that's just how it was. Similar to an older video game... "wait... These garbage graphics aren't how I remember it!"
I will never understand how some of these players never got chances in the league. Watching Peyton Siva again brings back memories. Man was a baller.
Go Cards baby! They can take a banner away, but they can’t take the memories.
...nobody can deny video evidence ...that one dude pinned the ball up against the backboard and had to sit on the bench
@@forjesus8681 uhh what?

The type of content we need for the off-season. You doing the Lords work.
I almost didn’t click on this video in my recommended because I thought it was just gonna be some overly-opinionated video with more hot takes than basketball analysis. Then I saw it was hoop vision. So i clicked.
I don't think the bible says anything about basketball
@@jamedlock83 We learned what “Hyperbole” was in middle school English. Try researching it sometime.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fr I’m glad you dig deep and speak facts can’t be said for a lot of the basketball content creators they like self opinions on the games more then the straight facts and stats
Butler, when they were still in the Horizon League, represented the Horizon League in two consecutive NCAA National Championships. Shame they didn't beat Duke or UConn, cause then the Horizon League would've had one or even two National Championship titles in the books.
They forced us out of the conference because they wanted a chance too lmao. By just 2013, we'd made the jump to the Big East and two of our Head Coaches from that decade joined the list of the highest paid basketball coaches in the world
Use less words
That's cuz Brad Stevens was a genius.. he went to the NBA and the program hasn't been the same since
@@codyeble6764 Butler found success with Chris Holtmann too and in the Big East rather than the Horizon League or A10, but it's hard to maintain these guys at a small little private school when a program like the Boston Celtics or Ohio State in Holtmann's case can come along and poach them to make them one of the highest paid basketball coaches in the world
if they won the first year the second year wouldn't have been the same
having the UNC v Gonzaga timestamp start with a fading clip of Villanova's 3 the year before is ultimate troll
That 2009 UNC team was absolutely stacked, MSU had no chance of winning that game.
at the time it made 3 year old me cry
100%. I was hoping the home cookin' would let them hang around, but that Carolina team was one of 4-5 best I've seen in watching college Hoops since the late 80's.
I've been watching Carolina basketball for close to 40 years now and I've NEVER seen a team dominate like the 2009 team did.
just like the 2005 tar heels team...that illinois team was very good..too bad they did not get to face the 2006 ucla bruins or 2004 georgia tech yellow jackets teams..they win those games easy...d will head brown would be too much for most teams guards to handle but when your team has raymond felton rashad mccants and marvin williams those 3 look way smaller and have less effect on the game
MSU had one of those "do more with less" years that they always seem to get.
16:05 "earning bill self his first and only championship" If only you waited another year to make this... great video my friend!

Calhoun running zoom action in '04. Still popular college ball motion in '21. Now you understand why that man is a god in Ct.
Just stumbling upon this. I’m 2 minutes in but to hear you compiled all of this and it took a month alone to watch everything. Amazing effort, if I could super like I would. Well done.
This is exactly what i needed. Memories are great, aren’t they?! Thanks for uploading this and your spot on analysis on the games. ESPN needs to look you up
Amazing content. I love this combo of analysis ad history. Keep it up!
Thank you for this great content!
commentary is on point love how you break-in down the play sets great teaching video for coaches
This might be my favorite KZhead video ever. Thank you for making this.
This is a trip down the memory lane. Good job.
wow that duke team 2001 was loaded. 1. jay williams 2. duhon 3. dunleavy 4. battier 5. boozer
Bunch of professional scrubs
@The Truth and nothing but the TRUTH ask LeBron and Wade if Battier was a scub lol.. Williams would had been a beast if he didn't get hurt. Dunleavy played 15 years in the NBA and Boozer 13 years... I'm sure you don't play over a decade in the NBA if you're a "scub"
@@nowhereman4319 hold up let me Call Wade and LeBron about Battier(never been an all star or the 1st option on offense or 2nd option) , Williams all you have is an IF about an unathletic Duke product that couldn’t follow NBA rules . The other two are 4th choices in any offense and nothing more Lmao …is that all you have ?

Thanks for doing this!
This is dope. Good job man.
This is the best sport video I've ever seen on youtube. Great animation/graphics, videos, discussion/commentary and statistical analysis.

Great content and historical coverage of 21 yrs of the ncaa hoop nat'l championship.

One of the best CBB videos I've seen! Wish there was more content of this caliber about college hoops
Great work as always Jordan!!
This is a great video. I didn't even think i would watch all of it but I'm glad i did. Great breakdowns across the board.
Great video!
This is outstanding. Good work, man. Very well done and was fun to watch.
Excellent content as always !
This is amazing!
love all the chill beats on this video
I cried so hard when the Badgers lost in 2015, Frank the Tank was graduating, Bo Ryan was retiring, no hope of ever coming that close ever again. They had a god dam 10 point lead with 2 minutes to go!
I laughed
Wow this is some serious work you put in! Regarding the OSU-UF game in 2007, I was there (I'm an OSU alum) and you pretty much nailed the reason why Florida won a game that OSU totally dominated inside. They were on fire from 3 and OSU could not through it in the ocean. I think OSU outscored them in the paint something like 48-20 and it felt like at some point the 3s would drop and we would get the win. But OSU has a long history of underperforming and choking in the tourney due to tightening up and that's pretty much what happened behind the arc the entire game.
Awesome content! Thanks for the in depth analysis and high quality production. Just added a like and sub.
this is an amazingly well put video bruh
This is excellent. Merci
This breakdown is insane. Liked and subscribed.
This was the first ever 37 Min youtube video that I enjoyed watching without skipping and it felt like 5 mins! The commentating on the video was incredible! It had me glued to the entire screen the whole time!! You def going to win lots of subs of this video!

The kemba walker run was probably my favorite 11 straight tournament wins including the big east all on his back
this is a 10/10 video. great work. also, the difference between the broadcast video quality between 2008 and 2009 is wild
This is a solid video and I appreciate the work ya did into this. Would have liked to seen in the screen for future pros wanted to see the losing team future pros as well. Like Illinois had a list of players as well that would be liked to be known too. Besides that very good stuff.
My thoughts also

As a Carolina fan that got to be my least favorite
Come on man they called 5 fouls n a row against unc the last minute and a half of play. It was an absolute ref job against UNC, and I'm a Kentucky fan saying that!!!!!!! Total horseshit like the year after that. Paid off.
@@GoldenEagle-cq6ib you guys got screwed plain as day it was a disgrace your team was dominating that year and that game, then 5 fouls in a row. Staged paid off shit.
@@johnnycorn7225 villanova dominated that year, and that game was even. there were a couple of questionable calls down the stretch but nothing ridiculous and villanova came out on top in an all time classic🤷♂️
@@samparker5488 Those last few fouls were phantom, you can see the refs blow strict on one side and no holds barred on the other. It is still entertaining so we watch and vilanova was definitely a great great team.

So many great memories. Even attended a couple of these games. College basketball is my favorite sport, and the tourney is just the best time of the year. There is just something about watching a kid from nowhere, do something improbable and amazing on a national stage.....and that often being the end of his basketball career.
This video was incredible! I have been watching college basketball since 2009 and for me the best championship for me is 2010 and 2019 and 2016 are close behind. 2017 is also one of my favorites and while I'm at it 2014 is super underrated!

dug that 04 uconn team, liked playing with josh boone on 2k even if his game didn't translate to the pros.

College basketball is not known
Great vid I just wish u show both lineups and star players

As a UConn fan we literally just suck then win a tournament then suck then repeat
Some of the best basketball is played during March madness college is def exciting to watch
Great video. Out of curiosity, do you plan to go further back at some point? I'd love to see some breakdowns from the 1990s.
I wish you would've put future NBA players from both teams on the screen, not just from the Champs. Dope video overall. 🔥🔥🔥
As a lifelong Kentucky fan, Doron Lamb is one of my all time favorites. Extremely underrated and under appreciated. Shot over 46 percent from three both seasons he was there
Got to watch my best friend IU player #32 Kyle Hornsby play in the 2002 National Championship, it was a sloppy game but that feeling of seeing a buddy play for a national championship was amazing.
I just love the parity in this sport!
I wish you highlighted both team’s top players but great video
I've watched every national championship game since 1978 when I was 16... I'm now 61 and still look forward to watching the championship game...
Thanks for the fabulous vid packages.... great editing. Here's a voice pattern suggestion. Instead of burying EVERY last word or syllable in each sentence, try emphasizing the last beat. Some of your final words are difficult to even hear. This will create greater variety in your speech pattern instead of the pattern you use constantly. Variety is the spice of commentary. Thanks.....
