That 1st one had to be so heartbreaking for the offense. They essentially performed a miracle only for their kicker to miss the extra point. I know he got the silent treatment for weeks.
It's actually way worse than that. The kicker hadn't missed an extra point in more than two seasons and was statistically the most accurate kicker in the league. And if they kick the extra point they get to play OT - important because this is the last game of the season and if they win it, they go to the playoffs. Instead they missed the extra point and that was the end of their season. OOF.
Kicker has to be a paid actor lmao

I remember when 5:02 happened. My family was following the game on the way home from visiting family in Philadelphia. We got home and turned on the television just before the ball was snapped. I can still hear my mother screaming for Jackson to "get in the fucking endzone, dammit!" as he avoids crossing the line to check the clock.

It was actually an extra point. They scored a touchdown right before that, on that play where they did all that lateraling. The last guy that got the ball crossed the goal line with the ball in his hand. That’s why their score increased by 6 points right after the play. You must have missed it.
