Another day at 'The Launch', take a few minutes, grab a drink, pull up a seat, and enjoy the show. It starts slow but we finish with some clowns that are no strangers to The Big Dan Show, as they try to master the art of trailering their jet boat. Thanks for Tuning in and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE!
What they need to do is just watch other boaters. Better yet, they should subscribe to your channel and watch and learn. 😂 They make it so much harder than it needs to be.
An old trick that I learned about backing a trailer as a kid…put your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel. Move your hand left to back left and move your hand right to back right. It’s easy and it works.
For anyone who struggles with backing trailers. Just take it to an empty parking lot and practice. Practicing with set lines / cones will really help.
That’s what my twin brother would do in the off season, he got better and better at it (especially when he would practice at the boat launch).
If I struggled that much with a boat, I wouldn't own a boat.
RIGHT JUST GRAB YOUR CELL AND RECORD FROM THE DOCK NEXT TO THIS GUY BITCHING ABOUT BOATERS ALL DAY LONG THATS LIVING THE DREAM
They have to have a nervous breakdown everytime they think about putting the boat on the trailer, dang 😂😂😂
No one is perfect, nether are You I bet, plus everyone has to learn to do it they just want to enjoy the water....
@@watchinglclowns9890 and…?
How do they park in their driveway…id love to be a neighbor 🍿
At 21:44 when she gets out of vehicle and says “you don’t want me to try and straighten up”, I lost it. My stomach muscles are sore now……laughed hard 😂
Same 😆😆😆
Please no, you’re already too straight!
I like how Jelly Roll's Lost Cause was playing in the background when the Jeep girls were fumbling around Lol!
there is something deeply satisfying watching this...I have a small boat and very liteweight trailer and I look like two monkeys humping a football trying to back it up :):)....glad to see I am not alone
Welcome to the Channel
At the end of the day I was usually the one bringing in boats because no one else was sober enough!! I became everyone’s captain! 😂
You just gotta admire the persistence and determination of those two ladies to 'enjoy' their boating experience.
😄😂😂
I love how excited you got when you saw the Jeep 🤣
🎶 Beep Beep 🎶 "Drone is going up!"
Hey Dan. Love your show! I’m a 60 year old woman & I have always backed my boat in & trailered it! My hubby is awful at it! It’s not rocket science & has nothing to do with men vs women. No physical strength needed. I’ve been boating & fishin since I was 5 years old. These “Yo-Yo’s” that can’t back & trailer a boat ..shouldn’t own a boat! Morons!! Keep up the good work!
Yeah, some peoples sexism bleeds through their videos, sadly.
My mom was the one that brought our '17 foot Whaler wherever we went. My dad would get off work and she'd be at the dock loaded and ready to go with us 3 boys. She was Wonder woman in our eyes. And as tiny as she was, 4'10" she could do what most men could do and better. Later we got a 21 footer and she was definitely the captain, my dad was just the first mate, lol.
@@howaboutnowdad4582if you took 10 men and 10 women and asked them to back a trailer…. At least 7 men could do it, and maybe 4 women. It’s not sexist, men just happen to do it more often. Facts.
@@chubbrock659 however you would like to justify your thinking. Go right ahead and do that. You’re just outing yourself lmao But please site your study. Oh wait you’re playing feels VS real. Loser
U-know Dan I taught my Daughter to back a trailer in the driveway at home, she got really good at it too. (a small 8X5 utility trailer) Just a small tip from an old goat, (1). learn to use your mirrors. (2). If the trailer tail fades right turn right, if the tail fades left, turn left. Hope this helps someone.
@@TheBigDanShow Oh by the way Dan, your commentary is absolutely hilarious sometimes. 😅🤣 Ten thumbs up emoji's !
I've always told people keep your hands on the bottom of the steering wheel back up slowly if you want the trailer to go to the right move your right hand if left left hand easy peasy my wife backs out boat up like a pro
exactly how i do it.
I cant believe that pregnant lady is out there in the heat struggling with that boat. She should be taking it easy.
The incompetence demonstrated by most of these boaters is simply mind boggling.
It's baffling how people can watch their boat floating and not realize they're backed in too far
As part of the boating course they need to have a test for backing a trailer😂😂😂
I don't think they have boating safety course anymore.
That's America today.😮
Where's the banjo music?
Good job Earl.
Thanks Clem.
The drone though!!! Brilliant 😂
Thanks
Just when you thought it was safe to go in too the water , you was wrong “ The Return of the JEEP “ 🦈 😂
Hahaa
Hey, Big Dan! Have you thought about starting classes for rookies on loading and unloading boats? You would make a fortune.
He wouldn't make a dime because every one of these people could've just searched KZhead and educated themselves for free, but they don't because their arrogance blinds them of their ignorance. They let their egos get in the way of common sense.
I’m crooked, my head Good enough after you said it 🤣
Lol
Always enjoy your videos ! There is some crazy people out at the boat docks !🤪🤪 stay safe
I predict that one day in the future that Jeep will be a submarine.
Seems Jeeps, rental pickups, and vans are the ones that like bathing at ramps the most.
“Well, it did need to be washed!”
Must be loading a submarine!
As a person that backs in a bumper pull livestock trailer, this drives me nuts! I keep yelling, "Turn the wheels the other way." These people need to go to an empty parking lot or field and practice prior to going to the docks.
I think pontoons are harder because they are like empty beer cans in water, any little wave or wind and they get blown around.
Definitely. I’ve ridden in those on one of the lakes near my home.
Everyone remember, completely submerge the trailer or just stay home! 😆
I float around on a Doral Prestancia 30-foot express cruiser for 7-12 days at a time over the 3 big summer holidays... My happy place. Solo launch/retrieve it most of the time faster than it takes these folks just to back their trailer in.
That is a sweet boat launch out that way. Had to go and find it on google. Sure wish we had a nice place like that.
It’s hard to watch these 2 ladies load this Seadoo boat!!!!!!! It’s actually pretty unbelievable to watch and to just imagine how they have lasted this long without running into another boat or dock!!! The whole backing up did pulling forward is just ridiculous and to turn your trailer into a submarine is just killing me!!!! What’s wrong with these ladies????? Holy Shit!!!!!
IF one puts their hand at the bottom of the vehicle steering wheel, then while backing, they may move their hand in the direction that they want the boat/trailer to go. Slow and steady wins the race. Once in straight, back trailer until top of fenders are at surface of water, but in every case... some part of the bunks should be above the water to ride up onto and center the boat without floating. I used to launch and retrieve in the Mississippi River, perpendicular to the current. That required crabbing onto the trailer at a controlled speed.
"My viewers dont want to hear no dog barking" lol
@@TheBigDanShow it’s funny cause I wasn’t sure where the barking was coming from 😂🐾
Nice boat ramp facility ! A lot depends on how well you setup your trailer to accept the type of boat or pontoon you have ! It can save you a lot of headaches from your inabilities and make you look more like a pro . Lol
The men I see trying to get them on trailers I wouldn’t want to drive like 😂😂
My grandfather lives in the Bayview condos just down the road! Love the videos.
Hope they don't have to back into a driveway when they get home lol 😅
The prudent thing to do in that case would be to use an electric motor driven dolly/gantry to maneuver the boat and trailer not only into the driveway but also into the garage, where applicable.
I like that she pulls so far out to straighten it. It's difficult to watch because it really isn't that hard.
This is hillarious!
Lol
The driver with the jeep reminds me of Peter Griffin from Family Guy, trying to launch that boat.
Most times the trailers are tofar in the water. Completly submerge the trailer so the boards are wet then pull out to expose about almost 1/2 the trailer. Pontoon slides on smooth.
Like 👍
You get it! 👍
2 beautiful yachts in the beginning..cool dog with the life jacket
That was some comic relief 😂
I think the struggles with pontoons is the same reason v hulls struggle. These Captains simply don't pay attention to where the motor is pointed before they hit the gas. If you watch the they'll correct then before centering the motor again they hit the gas and screw up what they just tried to fix. Rinse, repeat.
steer.....then gear! spot on!
Outstanding new to the show but it’s very relaxing to watch. Look forward to the next one. Thank you for this one no yelling no screaming. Just a good video.
Hay Big Dan love the show 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks buddy

That right there..... is the only time i could walked up to those ladies and said..... looks like you've done this once or twice.... and left them wondering if i was complimenting them or putting them down. 😂😂😂
Practice makes perfect , they will learn 👍🏼 we all do !
That was like watching the slowest race ever 😂😂
Hahaaa
Running a SeaArk Easy 200 for 11 years. Love your channel and all the narration 👍😄😄
Man, that last boat reminds me of a Luhrs my neighbor had when I was a kid, that thing was huge! I spent a few weekends on it and felt so poor when I had to go home, lol. I remember his fuel bill was like half of my dad's annual salary. To this day I'm repulsed by that sort of wealth.
I actually suspect that you are envious (covetous heart) which in turn leads you to be "repulsed" because you dont have what they have! You harbor hate in your heart which is like murder to God. God has told us in His word that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. People work dang long and hard to be successful. I guess that is foreign to you. Stupid simple minded people dont have what it takes to be wealthy so instead of bettering themselves, they hate those who do! The wealthy guy was generous to you and your family by taking you out on his boat for a few weeks and this is how you repay him by back biting him decades later? His generosity to YOU and your poor dad is repulsive to you? If a man or woman earns their money honestly and pay their taxes ,I dont see how you can be repulsed by their wealth. You should be happy for them ! Btw, did you know poor people like you can be guilty of loving money? Do you even care that you are living in sin? @The Big Dan Show why did you like his hate filled comment?
Love your show brother. I hope I see you at shoreline or oriole.👊🏻🤘🏻

Hi mate that's one thing you don't see much here in Australia is pontoon boats i never thought of putting a motor on my lounge room. and taking it for a spin on the water regards Terry in Australia 😂
My grandson is 9 and he rides Bulls(Rodeos)here in Florida and Mississippi , I think those kids did just fine, better than some adults.
FYI - it is the INTRAcoastal waterway NOT the INTERcoastal waterway. Intra means within and inter means among. The waterway is within the coast as apposed to among multiple coasts. Fun fact.
I’ve got that Alabama accent. We also pronounce there. (Dare) Thats (das) It’s just part of the talk. Lol

I see this all day in Tampa
Send a drone as have a laugh. Dean 🇬🇧 😂😂😂
Credit to the two ladies, they Don't give up, they kept on trying, and trying. Given time and a gentle word in the ear they may even get to be Ok at boating..
What be good if you offer, and take it from there. Cheers from Chch, New Zealand.
thats exactly what they need. Just a little guidance.
on that BOOM ( TIME STAMP 21.48 ) I'd be laughing it for airbags deployed

First boat is cool ! Big engine, managable boat, two dogs...happy days
Good times
It's not the craft, it's the driver. Put them on a John boat, they'll still struggle.
What are 2 long poles up in the air on the sides of them big yachts?
Guy on the left and right: unbelievable! Wow
Why is this so relaxing too watch😂
🤣🤣
Yamaha FSH 195 Sport We love it.
I have NEVER EVER EVER launced or loaded a boat where someone had to get in the damn water....
hi Dan, mud boats, I have learned are also belt drive for that they slip instead off breaking.
Looks like a lawn-mower engine.
Being from Kentucky we have some bad boat operators, but watching your videos of boaters in coastal water that think the back bumper of the vehicle has to be the same water level as the boat trailer fenders. I mean these are people that live on the water Dailey.
Equal rights….and equal lefts. 👊
My thinking is that pontoons are harder to maneuver because they need to be IN MOTION before you can control the direction in which they are travelling. They are like a jet ski...
These two are a show all by themselves.
Lol. Thanks for tuning in!
wish there were more wake boats out there representing
Great video.
Hey Dan ..fun new drinking game..everytime a idiot backs in the water too crooked or not enough ..drink 8 Oz..u will have your water intake in no time!😂😂
Hahaaa no doubt
Dan are you filming out of Orange Beach, AL?
I use this ramp occasionally. I got a 1972 chaparral 244 fisherman with a yamaha 250 four stroke
Yep i had a long tail mud motor and used a harbor frieight 420cc engine. So no water needed!
I've been boating for 40 years and pontoons can be a pain but most people keep them in gear too long. Just kick into neutral and steer it, it works a lot better than staying under power. Love your videos and your commentating. 60% of boaters are idiots but they sure are fun to watch and make fun of. I always said you should have to take a trailer backing test before getting a boat and seems they may need a trailer loading test on top of that.
60% idiots and 39% dumb asses. I conquer.
You cant steer most boats without throttle.
@@KCWhoa Only jet boats won't steer without throttle but most everything else will. I take my bass boat out of gear 30 feet before I get to the trailer and steer it right up there. When I hit the bunks I put it back in gear and give it the gas to get up on the winch roller.
@@KCWhoa, as long as there is momentum the ''rudder'' part of an outboard will steer the boat. Most jet boat engines don't have rudders, as far as I know, so they won't do that.
Late to the party on this one guess i need to still ring that bell. Seafox 228 commander single 200 Yamaha.
Hey Dan & fam! Looks a great old sunny summer day there for you all again. Thanks for the great entertainment (sorry to hear about the little puppy), Jan, England
👋
them two women were sooooo painful to watch. back when i had my boat id be giving lessons while waiting to launch my boat. purely to speed things up. did the same one 4th of July. i went to see macys fireworks in the east river, trying to get off the water the line was so long, (hazards ramp under the GWB current can be real fast there) it was dark and raining. had my girl drop me at the dock ( she ended up putting our boat on the trailer too) i got 10 boats out of the water in no time with lots of coaching. amazes me most dont know how far to back the trailer in. most are just cover the fenders by 2 inches and your golden. the whole backing a trailer up is just practice. hit a closed parking lot up and play around till you figure it out. you can only be told what ever way you think you should turn the wheel, go the other way so many times! lol
trailer depth is everything when launching and retrieving. so many put it too deep so the bunks don't catch the hull to centre it.
@@wizardofoz641 i had rollers. loved that trailer. most trailers up here do. kinda rare to see bunk style. other then jetskis and jet boats.
Maybe I missed it somewhere but dude you need some merch, I'd start with "In to Deep" hats or shirts = I'd be buying!
My 7yr old is my bass fishing partner in a tournament series n he unloads n loads our bass boat, he 95% of the time loads it's on his first try!!
Nice’ I love it
Left is the winner for sure And I lose I was positive that the left wax gonna have it I the bag
What drone do you use.
Boat Valet look it up makes it easy to put a pontoon on the trailer,
10:20 i grew up with boats and jetskis i can vouch
It would probably be easier if the controls were on the left side, the side they are used to being on.
What kind of drone do you use Dan?
Learned how to boat, swim and ski, growing up on the great lakes, before riding a bike or driving a car.
Soon you'll be able to have a two girls, one jet boat compilation video!
Lol
At the 20 minute mark she was good. The captain just doesn’t know how to drive a boat.
