  • While I enjoy Just Planes, I really like this channel as well. I suffer from insomnia, and these “full-flight” videos really help me relax. For future videos, I enjoy watching all the pre-flight preparations (in the home or satellite office) and what the typical “day” is like for a flight crew. In this video I learned the challenges of a charter pilot vs a scheduled commercial pilot. Great stuff and keep up the tremendous videos.

  • Engaging crew for sure. I really liked the elder Captain (who was observing). I am similar in age and agree that aviation has come leaps and bounds the past 40 years.

  • Love the Check Captain story on those older plane's like the Tupolev Tu-134. I have a Simulator called il-2 sturmovik. The Simulator was created by an Engineer who designed Russian ( Real Simulators), for New Military Aircraft Development & the training of the Test Pilots to get the expected feel of the Aircraft. The Simulator had many Aircraft from the Late 1930's to the early 2000's When You started talking about the Parachute in the Tupolev Tu-134 I started laughing. Last month, I ran the Simulator for, an Ilyushin IL-62, year 1967, the moment I released the brakes to Taxi I started thinking, This isn't going to end well. The distance & time to slow down, at a medium taxi speed, was twice distance & time to stop. The Airplane took off eventualy at the Numbers on the other end after rolling fast on the elevator trim wheel. The plane was a hand full on the way down. With the plane at only a few feet below the wheel's it just floated in the ground effect and I just decided to pull the Lever for the Chute. I was even thinking if not for the chute thae plane would be floating 3 ft above the ground today. No chute no stop. hahaha I thought something was wrong with the flight model, the way the engineer wrote the software for the simulator because of the runway i took off from and landed at was the same. Edwards Airforce Base witch is the longest runway in the world. So far that they have secondary edge lighting going much farther from the end of the concrete & the start of the dry lake bed. Question 1: Was the TU-134 harder to loose speed like an IL-62? Question 2: Did the TU-134 float in the Ground effect even with flaps and spoiler longer than other aircraft?

    • Many.fighters and AD10 older F104 100 F4 used drag chutes to slow down on landing. Military needed them for short runway or combat times hurrying to land.

  • Really enjoying your videos. Tradeair seems like a great company, great crews both flight deck and cabin crews. In real life I'm only a passenger but do fly MSFS 2020 sim at an elementary level. I have never flown in an F100 but did fly at age 10 in an F27 (Ansett VH-FNA) from Sydney - Canberra return in Australia on a school excursion flight. Thanks so much for the experience of flying with you via your wonderful videos. By the way, I love the background music track in this video, very emotional, laid back, nicely suited to a nostalgic experience. 🙂
