50-Hour Prime Rib

I wanted to cook something extravagant for the holidays, so I spent a few days making prime rib and some really fun side dishes, like 15-hour potatoes, creamed spinach, horseradish cream, and creamed corn.

  • I like how they're certain details in this video that aren't often mentioned. They manage to capture a piece of media with extremely well done cinematography and production complexity without the stiffness that often comes with a process as systematic as editing of this calibre which only serves to enhance the "homemade" aspect of the project by including the aspect of sharing with your friends or needing more coffee after some work or even the dread of only getting a handful of spinach from a full $10 and since it lacks the cluttered and untidy finish that homemade pieces normally have they strike a difficult balance between the two making this the closest thing I've seen to a masterpiece in a long time.

  • I love how well you take advantage of your environment despite its space limitations and the fact it isn't set up like a studio, and yet you still construct a narrative around it that tells a detailed and evocative culinary story without any talking. Your productions remind me of James Cameron: he's only made a handful of films in his career but they are all absolute bangers, quality over quantity. Would be thrilled to see something for the holidays in 2022! ❤

I've been listening to City Girl for like 3-4 years now, and I don't think they have ever made a song that I didn't like, or absolutely love. • Can´t explain my feelings watching this. I´m at a point in my life where I constantly feel stressed. Stressed of not doing enough, stress of not performing enough in the job, stress of watching this video as it´s isn´t taking me closer to my dreams and goals. But at the same time I´m drifting away watching your videos, and I get really calm as the cinematics, the editing, the cooking skills and your absolute brilliant sense of humour and ease is so good. Almost perfect. Don´t know where I´m going with this, but I guess me and my stressed, confused soul just wants to say thank you for your amazing art and I´ll probably watch your videos all my life and never really understand what your videos actually do for me. Some things simply can´t be put in to words, I guess I´ll never know. :)
