  • Crazy Ice storm!. I like how you used a drone to get most of the shots! Very good idea! and it keeps you away from the danger that is the power lines shorting and on the ground! At least if you get to close with the drone you're only out the drone itself and not your life!

  • We went through this in 2009. No power for 5 days. Generator saved us. Now we have Generac whole home generator. Now, 15 seconds after power outage, system is running. PTL! We hurt for these folks. Being senior citizens makes it so much harder.

    • I could see a power plant from where I lived, still no power until the fourth day after a storm that left two inches of white ice covered by another eight of snow in the 1970s. People have it easy nowadays.

  • Freaking mess, prayers going to all affected. At least Northerners have been through these things enough to have emergency supplies and good tires. Care for one another. Thank you for revealing a situation MSM won't.

    • To be fair, channels like these for example… the MSM has to ask permission to use their footage since it’s more freelance people that does these

  • I feel so sorry for these people because here in 1998 we had an Ice Storm and before we got back our electricity it lasted close to 30 days. Main power lines were down and it took some help from the Vermont, New-York and some from New Hamshire I believe at that times plus Hydro-Quebec task force. So I do understand them a lot. I will have a lot of simpathy for them.

  • Shows you how out of whack our weather is. You should be getting tons of snow. A blizzard maybe. Other places heavy snow. Ice storms typically hit Texas and other points south (but not always). You get my point. Strange stuff.

    • @@frankblangeard8865 who said it was? All I’m saying is that the weather is out of whack in that there is so little snow anywhere east of the Rockies. I live on the east coast and haven’t seen snow for over two years!

  • I would rather have full-on blizzards with -40F wind chills than an ice storm. I was happy it decided to stay west of us.

  • That's nothing. I walked home from elementary school one day in the 1970s through a winter wonderland of bowed trees with icicles hanging all the way to the ground. It was like something from a fairy tale.
