📖 Our Story:
We bought this stone house in Italy during the pandemic in 2020. The house was a ruin and we saved everything we could, unfortunately that meant only four stone and clay walls! The back wall, against the terrain, was close to collapse; the roof beams were eaten and basically reduced to dust; the inside separation walls were easily taken down and the whole project turned into a heavy renovation/rebuild.
Follow our journey as we turn this old stone house into a beautiful home 😊.

You have an intense dedication for detail in design and construction. The camera position allowed for a view of the beam and stone details of the transition between the living area and the kitchen. The juxtaposition of the rustic materials/color and the modern kitchen lines/color demonstrates the character your new home exudes. What a wonderful space! ❤

Maddi and Vince, not sure where in Italy you are, but today as I was watching you I was reminded of Martijn Doolard, the Dutch KZheadr with same name who is renovating stone cabins in the Italian Alps. I find similarities in your channels, mostly in your passionate engagement in what you are doing and your disciplined work ethic, but also in that you are both restoring stone structures in Italy, though with different styles and choice of material while opting for natural material and methods as much as possible. You are most likely in different regions in Italy, but if there is ever a wish to see our favorite youtubers mingling, mine would be to see you two connecting with Martijn. Perhaps, when your homes are finished you can visit one another and exchange restoration stories! :)

- Creo, son 2 tipos de construcción distintos, creo Martín no es tan ecológico como estos jóvenes. Si cuida la estética, pero, utiliza materiales más convencionales.

Caiù inspects and Caiù approves. That is the best jobsite supervisor ever, hope she gets a raise! Those doors are sleek, lots of work than a standard door frame. I bet it is going to be worth it at the end and everyone will want them after they see the finished product. As always, excellent work all.

Hello vous deux 😊 Et moi qui pensais que vous alliez vous prendre une bonne semaine de farniente bien mérité 😂 Mais il est vrai que maintenant que vous habitez dans votre maison, ces finitions paraissent peut-être plus pressantes. Et puis, ça permet aussi de terminer le sol 👍 J'aime bien cette idée de porte invisible. Pas d'habillage de contour, pas d'épaisseurs comme pour les portes classiques, super discret. Travail de précision réalisé avec beaucoup de soin. Bravo 👏Je me réjouis maintenant de voir ce que vous avez choisi pour les portes. Belle semaine, câlins à la belle Caiù 🥰

I am looking forward to seeing the doors installed because I can’t quite picture what you mean by “flush with the walls” or was it flush w/the floors,I don’t remember now. Probably you mean that you don’t want a threshold that you would have to step over. Yes, that’s probably what it is. Regardless of whether I figured it out or not, you’re doing marvelous work.😊 All I was going to do today was put tomato cages over my Peony flowers, and I didn’t even do that. Of course, I do have an excuse (I always have an excuse 😂), a tree fell down in front of my garden shed door, and I can’t get in it! I have to wait for my handyman to come and cut up the tree. That’s my line and I’m sticking to it.🙄🤷‍♀️😄

A fine job, as always. I’m sure doors going up is in consideration of not just privacy but living with some work dust. No doubt you are trying to keep that to a minimum but should the need arise and If you have something really dusty going on in the living room, there exist inexpensive plastic sheeting zipper doors for construction that could be used on the kitchen opening.

Con Vince ripasso un po’ del mio francese studiato alle superiori con buoni risultati. Sono curiosa di vedere come saranno le porte se si mimetizzeranno o meno con le pareti. Beautiful work! Are they edges and corners of the terracotta pronounced enough that they snag feet and toes? I don't know about you but I love being barefoot in home and didn't know if that's a hazard in your home. Incredible work as always, and love the music for the video. Fits it perfectly.

Hola, los sigo desde argentina 🇦🇷, Me parece, que tendrían que considerar, hacer un pequeño galpón, dónde guardar herramientas y espacio para trabajar... para terminar la casa, sin ensuciar tanto (dentro de la casa) y tener mas comodidad (para ir construyendo desde ahora, para el nvierno próximo)

🎉 congratulations!!! Moving is a huge milestone. My wife asked have you decorated with furniture and other items. I told her you're still making dust so most likely not the final decorations just yet. Fantastic work. Door transitions can be difficult to navigate.
