As a college student this is all I need for my courses & it's affordable because the pandemic killed my wallet
Its trash dont buy it. touchpad everytime makes problems
trash is right; windows 11 and only 4gb ram just does not cut it at all; you will be hitting the swap space every single time. you are better off getting a core i5 2nd gen laptop from 2012
i gotta say..you broke this down beautifully for someone like myself who doesn't know jack about technology or the techy computer specifics. i just wanted something simple, direct and to the point for me to understand if this is suitable for my needs or not..you my friend are a blessing! thank youuuuu :)
Thank you! Very kind words!
Great value really for that price! Nice one Zach
Thank you for explaining it to me I got a better understanding
Thanks for answering the question about Chrome. Always wondered about ARM processors. Thanks for breaking it down!
Glad to help! Apple has an arm processor in the M1 Macs, but of course everyone quickly designed their stuff to work with Macs. Arm laptops aren't too popular so not a lot of people have optimized their stuff to work with it yet. Hopefully things improve. Until then I'll keep my flex 2 alpha
yes that was a great breakdown
Quality content. No goofy antics just useful information. Thanks! I Subscribed
Thanks! One thing to keep in mind is that this laptop has had significant updates since my review. And now will run Windows 11 and it can run 64 bit applications now so some things may be different. I also think they updated this model a little bit too. Just wanted to give you a heads up
Best review I’ve seen. Thank you loads. Very informative and exact!!!!
Thank you! One thing to keep in mind though: This laptop did get some recent updates. Now this can run all 64 bit and 32 bit programs, so it won't be lacking. It still may run some programs slower though. I've also heard they updated this model since the review. Maybe a slight speed increase. Just a heads up from what I've heard. But thank you so much, really appreciate the comment
Thanks for this review really comprehensive I Will be purchasing this as its affordable and seems like a great laptop for students as I’m going back to university to do a Doctorate so will be using Microsoft word exclusively to write million word essays 😂 Thanks again 😝
Excellent review- particularly your breakdown of the capability of ARM vs. traditional Intel . I use my personal laptop maybe 2-4 times per week for Zoom meetings, Microsoft Office, and web browsing. I'm retiring my ancient Macbook and a laptop under $300 that can do all of the above, lend to battery life and portability, and is compatible with my Samsung phone is a win all around.
That's pretty good! This definitely isn't a monster , But it should do what you want . And it can technically run 64-bit applications now if it has Windows 11. A surface go 2 may be a good fit as well. They sell for $300. And it's a 10-inch tablet. It will have a nicer screen, and it might be slightly faster and more portable. But you may get worse battery life. And the keyboard won't be as good, detachable keyboards never are. So depends on what you want. This seems like a good cheap option. Just remember that for an extra one or $200 more you could get a laptop with some pretty good power and a pretty good touch screen. I say the best value is found around $500. But for your use case, the $300 options should be just fine
@@AndroidDigest Great suggestions and thanks for the reply! The Microsoft surface go was a definite consideration. The tie breaker for me was 1) the ports: no USB-A and only one USB-C. And 2) the cost: After factoring in the keyboard I'd be looking closer to $500.... which puts us in range of some really solid laptops that would out-spec the surface. I'll give the Samsung a good two week test run and let you know how it goes. Worst case, I'll send it back and be back in the comments section laptop shopping again.
@@AndroidDigest Update: I got the Samsung book today- here's my first thoughts. +Battery Life and USB C fast charge are incredibly convenient +Travel Friendly. It's about the same weight as my macbook air. +Generally fast, I found it easy to navigate and use applications - Keyboard is LOUD. The chicklet keys are the loudest of any laptop I've used. -Texture. This laptop has a distinct texture that for me makes it feel cheaper than it needs to. -Display. It's not only poor viewing angles but the color is really off. I've not seen a display this poor in any other modern laptop. -Setup time. It did take a good while to set up, probably and hour. I am returning it and ordered a Surface Go 2. We'll see 🤷🏼♀️
@@theChristianChristian did u get the surface 2? whats ur input about the surface2? or do you have any recommendations that also fits within your criteria( microsoft office, zoom)
@@a_ine9320 So I grabbed a used Microsoft Surface Go 2 from Backmarket for about $350. I also spent an extra $100 for a hinged keyboard from Brydge (I could do a whole review on that but I think it's worth the investment- pretty sure you can also get them on sale nowadays). So all-in $450. Here's my thoughts. + The 10" display is both compact and really high quality. I use it often to watch movies and youtube videos and have not been disappointed. + The single USB-C port supports charging really well, and the tablet's battery lasts a full day of use and days on standby. Perfect for travel. +The speakers and front/rear cameras are sufficient for video calls. Pretty standard for what I'd expect. +The m3 processor does well when browing internet, streaming videos, and hosting zoom calls. -I have run microsoft office and have only encountered speed issues when using really large excel files. - There is only one usb-c port but for $15ish you can pick up a usb-c dock online to add others, like usb-a and hdmi. I already had one so non-issue for me. Overall after almost a year of use, and several microsoft updates, I've been pretty happy with the surface go. It feels like a way better build for the price. Hope this helps!
Super review ❤
great video! thanks for sharing! :)
I'm getting it delivered Friday and I hope it will be good for me for the work that I do
really enjoyed watching this one..
Thanks for the review. I’ve seen several reviews on galaxy book go, but you have the best review, answered all my concerns here.
Thanks so much! Appreciate it!
great explanation, thanks!
Since I made this video things have slightly changed too because this device should be able to update to Windows 11 and run all applications. But things will still apply as far as some applications being slower if they aren't made to work with it.
@@AndroidDigest yeah, anyway, the main takeaway I got from your video is a horrible screen and compatibility issues. I decided to not cheap out and bought a Dell that's twice the money but works like charm. So thank you for that)
Hey everyone, thanks for supporting my channel! This laptop can now be updated to Windows 11, which does now support 64 bit applications, BUT, once again, only some of them will be fully optimized for arm! And just like 32 bit you may have some programs that are slow on this device! Also Sorry some of my footage didn't turn out perfectly, this screen was a tough screen to film. It looks much better than it does in the video, though it still is a $350 screen!
does it have fingerprint
Do you think it's worth it just for watching Netflix sports game etc...?Thanks!
@@samulsaqib7667 no. One of the compromises made. Def something you can live without and not even notice.
Great review, Any thoughts on the Galaxy Chromebook GO lte, about the same price?
Well I think it would be a lot faster than this Galaxy book go. Chrome OS is much better with light tasks. You won't be able to download Windows applications of course, .exe files, but if you're just using the web or Google docs I think it's a pretty good cheap laptop. But realistically there are some better deals. The Acer Spin 713 has a Chromebook with a 2k screen and a 10th gen i3 processor for $329. That will blow both of these out of the water and the screen will be way way better. $329 is a great price. So there may be some better deals overall, but you will still get a great device in the Galaxy Chromebook Go, at least based on specs. But it's not even a 1080p screen, so I do think the 2k screen in the acer is a better buy, especially since the acer also has a better processor
I was wonering if the office package on Surface RT could be bundled in the Galaxy Book go, worked smoothly
Gonna buy this, I'm tired of bringing a heavy ass laptop to school
Having equipped with 4gb Ram will it run without lag for multitasking in longer go. When I say multitasking all i mean is 3-4 applications open at a time.
I'm looking for a device to add music to for performance tracks to use when out for ministry and singing. Will this work, or what product would you recommend?
I'm actually a Pastor as well. I just do youtube on the side... Honestly part of it depends on your budget, but Best Buy is currently having a pretty big sale on laptops, and they are guaranteeing that the price won't go down by black friday, if it does they will refund the difference. (Also, if the price goes down in your return policy, you can contact them and they will refund the difference). I'll post some links for you to consider here
Lenovo Ideapad 3 - $429 - link at Best Buy is here: shop-links.co/cfUmkBOTWi3 Microsoft Surface Go Laptop: $549 shop-links.co/cfUmlaUrOgN Honestly either one of these laptops will be much faster, much much faster. The $429 one will be great for your needs. It might not be quite as bright as the computer at $549, but it's a good option, it's going to be plenty fast enough for you. But it will give you a lot more flexibility than this computer. Honestly in your situation I think this $350 laptop may leave you frustrated. Just my take :) If you do use my links to buy anything, even if you choose to buy a different product, I do get credit for it and it helps to support my channel. Let me know if there's any more details you need, happy to help you make a decision, the more info I know the more I can try to help
So, I’m thinking about getting this for first year high school (so in like a week or two..) but I’m not sure, besides school, I want to play roblox and maybe fortnite? I know it won’t be smooth but can it run it with a little lag? Also would it be good even if I have a iPhone.. so I can’t connect it to a Samsung device? PLEASE ANSWER *also I’m entering finance for high school so hopefully it can load those few things that I need downloaded to be able to do the classes lmao-*
honestly I would not recommend this at all for Fortnite. Not in the slightest. Since my review this computer now works with Windows 11 and it does work with 64-bit programs. so things have improved... but even on low settings it can't run games from 6 plus years ago. It won't run Fortnite even on low. If you are on a budget and want a Windows laptop for cheap, I'd look for something with an i3, i5, or i7 processor, or a laptop with a Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 processor. And at least 8GB of RAM. You could find something like that at $400 to $500. and it should run Fortnite on low settings. or at a lower resolution. Also it will be much faster. You may find an HP pavilion or a Lenovo laptop around that price. They may have small batteries and plastic builds but at least they will do what you need and give enough power.
Watched a review of this laptop and the reviewer used Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. That's actually incredible. Chrome needs to be caught up.
Good stuff
Anybody suggest a certain samsung laptop for optimum quality in terms of recording music?
Hi, i just need to do zoom meetings, review Adobe docs and do word-processing, and check emails. Will this laptop cut it? Thanks in advance for you response and guidance.
It will definitely cut it. And battery life should be good for that. But I will say you could probably find options for just a little bit more money with a lot more power. It will come out the cost of battery life, but you could get a computer that can do a lot more for a similar price
Does adobe acrobat work with this laptop? Can it open PDF in acrobat rather then edge?
Yes it would work.
Does dex work on it?
Hey mate its a honest review ever I seen. I have a concern that is does chrome is work on this device (managible)? or it is completely not work ?
Chrome works on it
It works. If you watch the video I actually show myself using Chrome, so there is some footage with me using it. But it's a little slower than using Microsoft Edge. Things have changed a little since this review though, Windows 11 came out and arm laptops like this now work with 64 bit applications. And that's something I couldn't test initially when I did this. So it's hard for me to say how good Chrome will work on it.
what type of motherboard does it have?
I wish they optimized everything, its supposed to perform better than the cheap intel n4000 series
Would Office 2013 work on it?
If you still have the laptop, I would like to see a Windows 11 Beta review.
I don't! Sorry! Hopefully someone will make one soon for you
So you can't use Chrome or any of the Google apps (Drive, Docs)? I have the Samsung Chrome Series 550C (from 2012). Want to know if this is a good upgrade. I like the Chrome/Google extensions. Just hate not being able to watch DVDs on my chromebook.
You can. If you upgrade it to windows 11 now you can use anything. It was originally only able to run 32 bit programs but they updated it to run any program. Just keep in mind some programs aren't optimized to work with it, it may be slow. Honestly if you've been using a Chromebook, you should probably just keep one, if you enjoy them. They will be a lot faster for your money. The Lenovo Flex 5 with an i3 processor is between $300 and $400 and it's a great choice. Way faster then this. Especially for Chrome and Google docs and drive. The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 is also a great option. And all of those have touchscreen, and the screen looks way way nicer then this Galaxy laptop
@@AndroidDigest If possible, I'd like to stick to the Samsung brand (I have a phone and watch by Samsung). What's the difference between this Samsung go and Samsung Chromebook 2 you're suggesting? Do you have a review for that?
@@AndroidDigest Any of these around 15"? My chromebook is 12 and I'd want something slightly bigger.
please make an update video for this laptop with Windows 11. I bought it with pre-installed windows 11 and all 64-bit programs that i normally use on desktop work with this laptop. For example 64-bit version of Firefox runs way faster on this laptop than 32-bit version of Firefox. Same for Chrome.
Yes, it's true, now it finally works with 64 bit programs. Don't have it to make another video but I'll spread the word the best I can
@@laura_marie1 It is awesome laptop for office / school work. You can take it to school, spend entire day taking notes, doing stuff then come back home, do your homework and you will still have battery left to watch Netflix. I am easily getting 18 hours battery life on it. Windows 11 added support for x86 64-bit applications so you can install Chrome, Firefox x86 64-bit etc. Microsoft office runs great on it. Microsoft Edge Chromium is flying on this laptop because it is native ARM application. Keyboard is super comfortable to type on. I just need one charger to charge both my laptop and my phone as the laptop comes with a regular USB-C charger. So there is no need to carrying two chargers in your backpack. The laptop is super thin and lite. I bought this laptop during holidays so there were many deals for laptops. I had opportunity to buy Lenovo 7i Slim with Intel 11th gen on deep sale and I decided to keep this Samsung. I do not think $1000 laptop would do anything better than this $300 Samsung when it comes to office / productivity work. Plus i got spoiled with this Samsung and now I do not want to deal with cooling fans, heat and noise anymore. I highly recommend it. The laptop has 4Gb of memory so just keep in mind to disable any programs that you do not use in start up. (i forgot to mention that you will get one year subscription to Office 365 for free with this laptop. So you save another $80). Let me know if you have other questions.
@@laura_marie1 i do not use Adobe Connect. I Googled Adobe Connect and Microsoft Surface X (which is also ARM) and it says that Adobe Connect does not work with it. But the article was written before Windows 11 which supports 64-bit applications (windows 10 only supports 32-bit applications) so I would imagine that Adobe Connect will work on Samsung Galaxy Go with Windows 11. Take it for test drive and you can always return it back to the store if programs that you use do not work on Samsung Galaxy Book Go.
Does this have a thunderbolt 3 ?
Is it good for google office?
Will this run Xbox Game pass well?
does it print in pdf.?
All I need is a windows machine to download my music files from HD tracks, iTunes, and photos. Will they work on this? My main computer is a macbook air. But my phones are all samsung galaxies.
First off, your macbook air will be a lot better. I'm sure you know that but just keeping it real. This device would work though with almost everything that you do, except itunes. I heard itunes works, but apparently it's almost unusable. Apple music works great on the web, but not as good when you use the actual application, outside of that, it works great for downloading things, no problem.
Is it loud ?
Can we use this laptop for adobe creative cloud For graphic designers
Same question
samsung galaxy book s is the qualcomm laptop to beat.
do these support opengl? im interested in using 3d modeling software
Not sure. But hopefully someone will be able to give you insight on that
does it work with thexlatest acrobat? for downloading pfd files? tnx
Well if you update this device to Windows 11, it will be able to run any program technically. Because it will run any 32 or 64-bit programs. So yes Adobe Acrobat will work, I just can't say how fast it will be on this computer since I haven't tested it
I see this as a media/school and work machine. if anything my expectation are emulatings retro games nothing more. maybe educational game for my kids as well.
Right, and now that time has passed this can update to windows 11 and it can run all apps and games, or most of them at least
You need to look at the Acer Chromebook spin 513 with the snapdragon processor take a look at that and give me your review please..
I have a problem, and I wonder if this laptop would be a solution. A few days ago my Chromebook did a pwa Zoom update. There is no way to get rid of it. Ever since the update I can not interact in my Zoom classes due to a black screen. I have spent days trying to Zoom, but to no avail. I am sick over this update. I have a Zoom class tonight. Would this laptop be good for attending Zoom classes? I need help quick, and I am old with little computer knowledge.
Sorry but no. It appears zoom has issues on arm processors. It's possible it would work but from what I'm reading it wouldn't. Did you try downloading a zoom Chrome extension? Or did you try going to the google play store and downloading the app through there?
I am very tech challenged. I did a back to factory reset, but as soon as I turned it on Chrome automatically updated it with this pwa. Before Friday July 2nd I had been attending Zoom classes and meetings (3 classes & 5 meetings) every week since the beginning of January. I've been using only chromebooks for several years now exclusively, but now Chrome has gone from easy to use to slow and complicated. I'm beginning to despise my Chromebooks.
@@patriciaribaric3409 one of your apps should be called "play store". If you open that and search zoom you may be able to download and install the android version of zoom. Another thing to try is downloading this web extension at this link chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/zoom-scheduler/kgjfgplpablkjnlkjmjdecgdpfankdle?hl=en-US and trying to start a meeting from that extension, seeing. You may already have these things downloaded or you may have tried, just trying to help. Chromebooks are great devices and they are pretty simplistic. It just stinks that zoom isn't working for you. If the things above don't work feel free to let me know if you are interested in getting a new device. Android tablets can run zoom well, so can smartphones, and I can always recommend other Windows laptops if you have decided you want to go back to Windows
@@AndroidDigest I just need to be able to zoom. It's mandatory for my classes and meetings. Is there a product you would suggest that is easy to use just for my Zoom classes? I love my Chromebooks for everything else. I even purchased two this past month for two classmates. That link is to what I was using before the update. I've tried everything to get rid of that pwa, but updating puts it right back on.
@@patriciaribaric3409 were you able to fix the problem?
I just need it for school work and KZhead and movies
Thanks for a really helpful review… if it worked with iTunes I would be getting this.
It does from the Microsoft store
Think any games would work on it? Like Minecraft
Will it run Python?
What about the gateway 14.1 ultra slim it has the core i5 and is $429 right now would that be a better buy?
Yes. A much better buy... Realistically this computer is very slow, but has good battery life.. the Gateway is much better because it's very powerful. Battery life may be more average but it's a night and day difference as far as speed. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that these components are going to be a little bit cheaper from China. They were trying to get the best specs in this laptop the cheapest possible way. So I just can't guarantee you'll have great longevity on the gateway. But it could last a very long time too 🤷♂️
@@AndroidDigest thank you so much for the reply i would not be using this for gaming just to run an online billing software for my lawn care business so i dont think i really need a $1000 laptop but another one im considering is the hp 15.6 FHD same i5 but 8gb ram and 256gb ssd. i use a hp with windows 7 from 09 right now but it finally crashed so any of these probley would be an upgrade for sure?
For sure. An i5 processor. A full hd screen. Both would be great. 8GB of RAM would be enough for you for sure. I'm happy to do research for you too. Using my links actually gets me some commission with some companies at least. But I'm always happy to help people find good tech at a good price. Even if it doesn't benefit me I just like helping people. I would just need to know what size of a screen you are looking for, if you need a touch screen with a x360 hinge, and if there's anything else you're looking for. And what your budget is. I'd be happy to look around and find you something (relatively quickly)
Can you install windows 11 and show how it perform
Sorry but I'm already done with the unit, already sent it back. Sorry! I'm sure it will run fine, but it's early and I'm sure they will need to fine tune it to get it to work well with arm
since it is able to be upgraded to windows 11 and use 64 bit, is chrome now able to be used over edge or no?
It can run Windows 11 but the Chrome issue has nothing to do with the OS, it's the ARM CPU. Google has not made an ARM version of Chrome, so until they do that, it'll run much slower than Edge on this laptop whether you have Windows 10 or 11 because the software's code still has to be translated to be ARM compatible in real-time as it runs. If you really just hate Edge, then you could use Firefox. They have an ARM build and it runs great on this laptop. If you really, really want Chrome, you just have to wait for Google to release an ARM version for it to run well.
besides school work, does this run decently for games like Roblox and Minecraft?
Honestly, no. I don't think it will run games like that well. Just being honest. This is very bad for gaming
Can you connect an optical drive to it? I still like my DVDs.
only if you have like a usb c cabel on your dvd drive
What’s your view of using this for editing videos?
Way late to respond, but definitely not, definitely. Even an i5 or an i7 processor can be GOOD for editing 1080p videos, but not great. 4k videos will take even more power, normally a gaming laptop with a video card. This doesn't have much power at all, it's for basic stuff and that's it.
This or the galaxy book s?
Does this work with acid pro?
To be honest, I have no idea what that is. But hopefully you'll find the answer you need
Anyone having issues with the trackpad??
Samsung and all retailer wrote in spec this laptop have FHD 1920x screen resolution so how do you find 1080p screen resolution ?pls explain
1920 x 1080 is the same thing as a 1080p laptop.
I'd recommend a Windows laptop like this HP (link below). Will it have all day battery? No. Maybe 5 or 6 hours.. but it has a much better processor, can run everything much better, will be a better overall laptop with a better screen shop-links.co/cf8opokdLoQ
Another laptop option is this one (link below) shop-links.co/cf8ouhCd8um It would be good if you don't need touch screen. It does have windows s, which is a lesser version of windows 10. But it will let you upgrade to windows 10, and even 11, for free
i only use ..utorrents vlc player and opera would i be able to use these with this?
Would this run Office 2013 (after downloading installation files)?
Yes it should run office 2013. Technically this can now run any 32 or 64 bit program once you upgrade it to windows 11
@@AndroidDigest would I notice a performance improvement over my current laptop? Keep in mind my biggest motive would be a better battery (currently get about 30 minutes). But processing speed? For sure. Pretty much anything you do on Microsoft edge should work great
can i instal chrome os in this galaxy book go?
It's possible that you could install Chrome OS flex. Google released that type of software for old Windows laptops so they could run Chrome OS. But this model isn't on the list so I'm not sure if it's compatible or not. But if you're at this price point anyway, if you haven't purchased this yet you might as well just go buy a Chromebook for the same price. You can get a Chromebook with a faster processor and a better screen for this price right now. Costco has the Lenovo flex 5i for $300 right now. 1080p screen, i3 processor, 8gb of ram, and it has a 360 hinge, with touch screen. If you're not a member at Costco I think it's like a 5% fee but the price is still insane.. there's a lot of deals like that going around for Chromebooks. But if you already have this, unfortunately I haven't tested Chrome OS flex so I'm not sure

Does it work with samsung smart switch?
That I'm not sure about! Things have changed since the launch of this laptop. Now Windows 11 is out, and this device should be able to run 64 and 32 bit apps! And all the other Samsung laptops I've used worked with Samsung smart switch, so I assume this should as well, especially with the expanded app support (assuming you upgrade to windows 11). But I can't be 100% sure!
It is not the Samsung version of the pixelbook go. Naming aside. Edit: for more than 1/2 the video, I thought this was a Chromebook! 😧😳
Well it's very similar to a Chromebook. But you're right it is definitely very different than the pixelbook go. That device is one of the best Chromebooks out. This device is an entry level Windows device that doesn't work with most programs
Don't buy any Chromebook or Windows laptop that has Snapdragon processor in it!! It is slow and has many compatibility issues.

Shouldn't set your expectations high. It's basically a phone/tablet processor and a really good one at that, but not fit for heavy applications. Basic media yes and word processing fine. Gaming no. Mine even comes with a SIM slot. Local retailer sells them at 199 euros, I am not complaining.

Well this computer, once upgraded to windows 11, can now support all windows programs. But the processor isn't very powerful so I wouldn't expect a good experience on Photoshop..
Does this work good for KZhead or podcast?
Yes, for those basic uses it would be great. But you may be better off with a tablet if that's all you need
@@AndroidDigest Okay perfect. I purchased it as a gift so this is perfect. She’s not really into tablets
This thing would be great if it didn't have windows. FMS and FJB.
Will this get the Windows Update?
I think it will yes. Haven't confirmed but it's a newer laptop and a newer processor. Windows 11 does support arm processors so I definitely think it will work with Windows 11. I'd say 95% chance, just not something I can test since I don't have the device right now
Does this work with Firefox ?
It does. But may be a little slower then Edge since it's built for arm. Can't say for sure how well they optimized Firefox
Can I connect the laptop to my iPhone?
yes, if you have itunes or something to transfer files, yes that will work
Brother. Please suggest me to purchase a chromebook at $350 range
The Lenovo Chromebook Flex , i3 processor 4GB of RAM. $320ish amzn.to/31cVtna It's good ol reliable. One of the fastest Chromebooks at this price with great battery life and a x360 touch screen.
Is it good for doing work from home jobs?
Honestly, I would say no. It's good for some basic word processing and some very light browsing, but that's about it in my opinion. I would look to find something a little bit faster
i know you probably won’t see this but does davinci resolve work on it
Definitely not, it barely works on an i5 processor
@@AndroidDigest okay. thank you
@@AndroidDigest do you know of any laptops for around the same price that would be good with davinci resolve?
And actually works with WINDOWS 11 and GREAT =).... AND Using GOOGLE CHROME has well
Yes ever since I made this video there have been some updates, and windows 11 works on it now, and I even think there's a newer model of this laptop maybe even with a faster processor. So things have changed a little bit. And now all 64-bit applications work on this device. Even if some are a little slower
Does it support windows 11
Yes it does
I got a brand new one of 185 dollars (didnt buy yet tho)
Not bad for some basic stuff for that price.
Can it run games?
Gotta watch the video. But honestly I wouldn't recommend this at all for games
@@AndroidDigest Yeah I decided on a different laptop
Can you print with this laptop?
Yes you can. You will have to setup your printer but yes it can print
@@AndroidDigest i'm planning to get an ARM laptop for business and probably will do a lot of excel and word. my main concern if it can install printer drivers on this laptop.
@@warnacokelat you shouldn't have any problem with that at all. This installs all 32-bit programs and will soon support 64-bit programs anyway. There should be 32-bit drivers available for almost any printer.
Can it run adobe pdf
Yes it can
Is Microsoft OneDrive compatible and works well? The desktop version not on web.
It should be... It's a Microsoft product after all... But I didn't get a chance to test that
@@AndroidDigest okay. I have ordered one. Will test after I receive. If you get a chance to test let me know as well. Thanks for responding.
@@sibasankarsila did you get it yet? If yes, how are simple games such as roblox, or the discord app? That’s all I really need it for. Please respond ASAP! Any response I will be grateful for!!❤️
Does it have Bluetooth
Yes
Can it run Minecraft Java good or bad?
It must
Should I get this for middle school
Things have changed since my review, it works with more programs now. It's basically a cheap laptop with good battery life, and it's good at handling BASIC stuff. If you just want something for basic stuff, you could get this, or a Chromebook, which would maybe even perform a little better for the basics. But yes this device should be fine, just don't expect to game on it or do anything intense
is the laptop fast?
I explain all that in the video, it's honestly not very fast but it can be fast at a few things depending on what you are doing
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for the quick response.
Windows 11 gaming?
I talk about it in the video, this laptop definitely isn't for gaming, it will get Windows 11, but still won't be great for gaming
@@ComparisonFarts this $350 Galaxy Book go won't be fine for gaming though. It doesn't have the graphics power or the processing power. It couldn't run skyrim for example, even on low settings. And that's a very old game. It ran oblivion, which is extremely old just fine. In short: this can play older games that as like 15+ years old but nothing more
@@ComparisonFarts i didn't test it but it probably can
My galaxy book go is frozen and unresponsive can someone pls help me
I would try to hold the power button for a very long time. And see if it restarts
Me too my galaxy book go is frozen what will I do sir? please pls help me sir
How does Windows 11 work on this laptop? Even more slower? or significantly better? And do 64bit X86 apps work on Windows 11 on this machine?
I haven't tested myself. I'd love to hear the results though
Windows 11 will support arm better and bring ARM64EC solution and x64 emulation
@@vitalinx7 well that's a good thing to hear
@@vitalinx7 good to hear
The "security thing" is generally called a "Kensington Lock"
True! I don't script these things out. I try to be natural. But can forget the names of these things. Thanks!
@@AndroidDigest No problem. I thought it was a good review as more than a few reviewers were very very negative about that laptop. Also for a long time I didn't know what that slot was called.
Me getting this for free as a gift from samsung for buying a phone
So for entertainment and school work, no gaming or unnecessary apps, this is worth the money?
For $350? If I'm honest I do think there are better options. But it does depend.. If you just want to do basic school work in Microsoft edge and typing documents, this can be good for that, and it will have good battery life for it too. But there are some options that have much more power and flexibility if you are willing to give up a little more battery life. I just feel like they are a lot more powerful and better for the money, again, if you can sacrifice a little battery. For example: There's an Asus laptop with an i3 processor for example for under $350. It only has 4GB of RAM but that's what this laptop has, but the processor will be much more powerful and you will be able to do a little more with it. Battery life may be a little worse than this Galaxy Book. But again. You are getting more power and flexibility to do more with it. Power matters even for school work. shop-links.co/cgqChHk58Sb There's also an MSI laptop, it's probably a little nicer than the Asus one I just mentioned. But it's a little nicer, again, more power, a little less battery shop-links.co/cgqCnDJg0bv And then there's a tablet like the Microsoft Surface Go 2. It's more powerful than this Galaxy Book Go. It has more RAM It's smaller, but extremely portable and you can purchase a keyboard separately, and then you have a portable laptop to bring on the go. And a basic tablet for entertainment. shop-links.co/cgqCvA0RZDK These are the best buy options I see for a close price. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you value battery life above all else. But you still need windows for school, and you just want something super basic, yes, this Galaxy Book Go would work. But if you can deal with a little less battery life and you want something that can actually handle your day to day tasks with more ease, I'd recommend one of the three options I mentioned. I'm sure there are other options from some other places too.
but will it work well with basic things? 😏
I answer that in the video! Yes, good for web browsing. Especially in edge. And basic stuff
Bro i am 13yrs old can i play gta vice city in laptop
Definitely not 🤣. This is extremely bad for games
Then what laptop can buy for gaming and to use ms word alone in budget laptops
It's very complicated. To get a decent laptop you want to find a laptop with at least 8 GB of RAM and an i3, i5, i7 processor. You can also find Ryzen 5, or Ryzen 7 processors too. BUT here's the big thing: graphics cards. That is what makes gaming work on laptops. Most laptops, especially around $400 or $500, they will have "integrated graphics". Basically they won't have an extra graphics card built in, so gaming won't be great. If a computer is fast enough, it can play older games on lower or medium settings. So a laptop with an i5 processor and 8GB of RAM could probably play some older games and do okay. But if you really want to do gaming you probably want to look for a "gaming laptop". Any gaming laptop will do to at least play basic games. But typically they start around $600, the HP Victus laptop is one of the cheapest gaming laptops, or HP has a gaming laptop at walmart that's around $550 or so, and Acer has one as well. Normally between $600, that's the base price for gaming. Otherwise you could find a laptop at walmart or best buy around $400 with an i5 processor and 8GB of RAM, and those could play older games on lower settings, but could get you by. Hopefully this helps.
