A big pride known as enkuyanai pride hunted down a giraffe calf and its mother with general ease. The skilful hunters took down the calf in one. attack and to everyones surprise and probably the mother, the pride switched their attack and took down the mother as well.

Incredible interaction…. Even after all these years of watching lions, their sheer boldness at times continues to be mind blowing…
The title of kings and Queens rightfully belongs to them.
@@yusufayaz2356 No it doesn't.
Sometimes nature can be brutal.
sometimes humans can be unoriginal in things they say. People need to use their brains more instead of just repeating what everyone else says.
@@recononyour last quote is actually more like, poor grammar- so learn more English
Nature is indifferent, it’s neither brutal or pleasant.✌️
Grammar?? Is that your best come back?? His message was understood!!

Giraffe: Don't do it kitty, I have the high ground Lioness: you underestimate our power
That has to be one of the most unaware mothers I've ever witnessed. She killed her own damn kid because she wasn't paying attention.
It's incredible how, with such skinny legs, exposed and awkward joints, and seemingly no coordination, a giraffe can generate enormous force with a kick.
That reach is amazing, though.Like dhalsim from the Street fighter series.
the power of leverage
And lions can still somehow manage to tank it on the dome
@@DissonantCat big facts.Plus, the giraffe was kicking down, generating even more power.
@@Pandemomium4Life cats have plot armor irl.🤣
Strategy, precise timing and teamwork. 👍🏻
*We did not see how they managed to kill the mother though!!*
They caught her few yards later after she left the calf behind
They probably shot her, gun violence is out of control in the Masai Mara.
Its sadistic how people enjoy watching this … disgusting!!!
@@dpicardip8956 It is the most natural thing you watch in nature. What's Disgusting is when you go there to watch nature then complain about nature or even worse ( i.e. deleting the most interesting scenes as this stupid channel does) 🙄 What's wrong with you?
@@dpicardip8956you should did a hole and live in it. That’s just reality of nature. If you can’t handle that, then you better keep your eyes closed while going through life
The mother kicked the calf when the lioness grabbed it, then stepped on it later. No footage of when the mother was brought down?
Normally I watch these videos with emotional indifference since it's nature... but this one hits hard... you just come to this world, full of energy and spirit and the next day you are gone... few decades before your time. All it took was one quick bite... probably severed spinal cord since the calf didn't move at all after that...
I understand what you mean. I watch these type of videos with the same attitude. This is nature and a lion has to eat. Giraffes, in my opinion, are a majestic animal. To see the mother taken down after trying to defend the calf was just hard to take. It just seems impossible to successfully defend against so many lionesses.
It looked like the mother giraffe knocked her little one down.
Mother Nature: can I take your order please? 🦁: yeah, a giraffe calf MN: anything 👀 else? 🦁: actually…yes
I've never seen a video of a giraffe successfully defending its calf and I really wonder how they're still here
I have. It’s out there. A quick search and you’ll be enlightened. A giraffe can successfully defend against a single predator but is almost certainly doomed against a pride. When there was only 3 she should’ve made a run for it.
@@HummaKavula-DontVoteForStupidMama wouldn’t leave her baby❤
Lions: "You want some beef too? Say no more!" Giraffe: "Nah, I don't get paid enough for this! See ya on the other side of the world Timmy! I never liked you anyway!"
It was heartbreaking to see such majestic animals being hunted. 💔 But i have to remember .... this is *the circle of life* ☯ The Giraffe feeds on leaves, the Lions feed on the Giraffe and a new Lion Cub can be welcomed by a healthy family ❤
Just can hope that the giraffe didn’t suffer
Dutti is on the oxygen apparatus after this.
He's not even worth the attention he craves.....
Sad that the mother stepped on her calf when she was stepping on the lioness.😢 But lions gotta eat, too.
The same as a lanky human, very uncoordinated.
I know it's nature but damn that was brutal 😰
The size and skill of the pride made taking down the mother possible, RIP mother giraffe and calf, the cycle of life continues in the wild Maasai Mara. For the many people globally who believe in reincarnation they will be reborn as maybe lions!
That's a pride that knows how to hunt. Difficult prey, but they persisted and shared duties.
lol every pride knows how to hunt. Only large prides can take down an adult giraffe. One lone lion knows how to hunt, they just can´t take down a giraffe alone. What are you talking about with that´s a pride that knows how to hunt lol

This is common in a mother giraffe's defense. They are not agile enough and cant effectively separate the lion. The 3 meter kick in this direction usually impacts the taller standing bystander baby as a result while lions knowingly duck down.
Coitadinha da 🦒🦒💔🙏😢
Did the lioness kill the baby or did the mom by stomping on it?
The mother kicked it for sure, you can see at 0:09
Yep mom
What's with the damn lady screaming her head off because the lion jumped?? Just stay at home
her husband probably sent her on an african safari in hopes she would get eaten by a lion because she made that noise in the living room when watching tv all the time.
You just get off the internet.
@robrobi6537 Screaming lady is that you?😂
She annoyed the heck out of me!!! Going off like a soccer commentator!!😫
Woman are hysterical creatures.
Probably one of the only animals capable of taking down such a behemoth
Amazing footage😊
Giraffes are like heavy vehicles, with too many blind spots
It was heartbreaking to witness this scene. The mother giraffe's instinct to protect her children is admirable.
Them lions jumped high as hell 😅
😢too sad
Pawar full lion pride 😢😢
Why are you sad?

It look like the mother aided the lions in the calf take down and even like she inadvertently stomped her calf a few times while trying to protect hers and her calf

very surprised they took down a giraffe without a male lion. they are great hunters.
I just dont understand why the park management need giraffe to mix with these apex pradator on land..
So they can eat them?
What the fuck of a comment is this? Apex predators are called predators because they prey on other living creatures, lions have been in the African continent for the past 3.5 million years, giraffes for about 1/3 of that, with basic maths you could tell that they have been sharing land and fighting each other for survival for about 1 million years, you cant wonder why the park manager doesen't separate them just because you find the giraffe cute and defenseless.
Because it’s nature and the park rangers aren’t god. This is a completely natural encounter. Everything is natural here in these national parks besides a couple dirt roads. Can’t interfere.
@@FloridaMan786 He thinks it's a zoo😂
Looks like momma put the calf out of it's misery herself.
It was a forced error in trying to stomp on the lioness unfortunately.
😢💔 muy lamentable madre e hija
A light snack turned into an all you can eat.
Couldn't show mom going down? Was it speared too like the one in the other vid?
Damn!!!!......Thanksgiving in March that's what I'm talking about.
screaming safarians is just not okay in the bush. gotta stay home folks if you cant manage nature. this isn't about you unless you want to step off the vehicle and add to the event?
Died trying to protect her baby
So heartbreaking, though intellectually we know predators have to eat. Looks like moth almost gave up the fight after she saw she lost her babies to the lions
Did mom do her own calf in???
I was thinking the same. In trying to protect ended stepping all over the calf. However, the calf may have already received enough crippling damage from the lionesses.
Those lionesses are huge look very bulky
Looked like the poor mother giraffe looked at the car for help , :/
Ah man, tough to watch. As a parent, I’m just sitting here imagining how desperate and helpless the mother felt in that scenario. Eventually having to move away from her dying baby, which is worse than her eventual death. I’m glad the pride got both of them under those conditions. I’d not want to survive that (inevitable?🤷🏻♂️) situation either. Clever pride, but brutal. Oooft 😢
Приятного опетита кошки
Sweet!
Man I'm screaming, "just run, it's a lost cause. Save yourself!"
Where was the rest of the herd?😢 Don't they travel in groups?
not usually
Giraffes do have nursery groups, where one mother takes care of the youngest. And the other giraffes go feeding or drinking.
Herbivores are stupid
This pride has it's act together .
The only ones who can killed an adult girrafe.
@@Dutti215 True question, did you really see an adult lion get killed by a giraffe kick ? The only time i see this just a giraffe trying to kill a lioness was from an old video, the lion got stomp many time by the giraffe but shortly after get up and walk away don't know if she make it after but it show me that a girrafe kick need to hit directly a lion head to do damage but lions agility made this really hard and the rest of the body can resist pretty well😁
WHY DO YOU THINK THAT WAS NECESSARY TO POST?????
Hey, It sucks to see, I get it. Doesn’t feel good, but we can all read the title before coming in 🤷🏻♂️
@@NukSooKow-yp9py I did and saw the picture so I knew what was going to show up on the actual video. Thanks for your reply.
The mother did more damage to her calf than the lions did.

Me encanta como patea la jirafa grande 😂
mother giraf has a good view but runs away too late the lions are too close!
Giraffe was looking at the humans asking for help.
So tragic ending. The painful side of motherhood. It reminds me of real life situations. Youoften find such kind of mothers in rural africa. Who would do anything for their kids. Would walk miles to nearby hospitals, would wait sometimes for days to be treated, would do hard labour to earn alittle just to buy their kids some medicine.
At times you need to let some things go to save yourself.
wow, that's heavy
Its nature!! However I couldn't watch that on a safari!!!! And film it!!!!
It doesn't show it in the footage, but Dutti told me that the hyenas killed them both, and since lions can't hunt because they are scavengers, they stole from the hyenas. Have you ever thought about what would happen to lions if hyenas didn't hunt for them?
Nature is brutal.
These lions hunted big giraffe that hyenas couldn't do😮
No other animals will do this
I belive the calf has broken its neck during the fall. The Lioness bent it in the attack, and the calf fell on its own neck.
The mother was the one that knocked it down with a kick while trying to attack the lioness, then she stepped on it like twice.
Three things come to mind... 1 How the lions can stay focused on the hunt while people in their noisy vehicles gawk at them 2 Animal mothers often care about their offspring more than human mothers 3 Some lions seem to prefer tender meat, some more seasoned meat
1 This is one of the things i really hate about the filming/documentary process. But then, we wouldn't have these kind of rare footage. One question from me: do these people provoke in some form or fashion the death of animals for the sake of filming? 2 I think this is an unfair assessment. While i do agree that there are some people who don't care about their children the way you or i think they should, i want to believe this is a small percentage of people that unfortunately gets magnified. 3 That made me chuckle.
RE 2. In the last 100yrs there has been 1 billion unborn human beings but to death in the womb.Over 96% of these were healthy resulting from legal sex and where the mother was also heathy. While these videos are indeed gruesome, the resulting loss of animal life is necessary and not arbitary. If an unborn child manages to get into this world, conditions are indeed difficult for many.@@ikaritears1792
Sad story
You should help the poor Giraffe and her baby inteasd of filming to get likes MTHFKRS
Nah...
The mother giraffe stomped the baby out by a mistake
Never seen a Tiger take this type of risks like the Lion
Tiger hunts alone. Lions in a pride. Strength in numbers, just like hyenas, wolves and wild dogs. They take down preys much bigger than themselves.
@@sz5263 Mountain lion hunt alone but he take more risk at the hunt than Tiger. Watch the Cougars hunt Guanacos. It’s very Impressive.

Sadly everyone has to eat !!!
The Giraffe mother did her child in by constantly kicking and stomping on it.
Dutti you got problems.
Of course you missed the take down.
Mother giraffes are the worst protective mothers. They almost always kick the calf when trying to fight off predators, and ends up only helping them. This one should have just left the calf and saved itself.
Does the Giraffe kicked it's baby to death?
I guess there’s an abundance of prey for the carnivorous hunters in Africa because it seems like it’s hard for any of them to ever reach adulthood with all the predators out there hungry..
Time for an upgrade. Get a 4K camera please.
Cry in the bush
Great mother
It's called a rifle.
It's called nature ...

How could you miss the takedown??
It's hard to not want to interfere
The people that filmed this should have done something to help they definitely could have at least beeped the car horn.
To cheer the Lions on?

Quite shocking that the rangers stood by and filmed this and allowed it to happen it’s very shocking and indeed very sad
@gerrycully1177 humans shouldn't interfere with nature..that's why the rangers don't
Lady control your self
Looks like more than the lioness it was the mothers leg which injured the calf
As the American coined the phrase " Collateral damage"
Seems they are very much experienced giraffe hunters, bcoz hunting such a large prey without male lion is rare sight !
Uh female lions do 99% of the hunting.
Double take down!
That calf was soooo feeble 😮
Imagine being 4, and getting kicked in the neck by your own mom, who is a giant compared to you. That's what happened. The calf was not feeble.
Family destroyed in a second . It takes so many months to keep a baby in tummy so sad ... These giraffes should be kept in zoo or some other place where they can be safe.
So sad😢
I think the vehicles can cause a lot of these animals death because of distractions and sounds.
Dutti, are these the same “apex scavengers” that you always like to hate on? I don’t know why apparently, this is still scavenging according to you
@@Dutti215 You do know that all predators are occasionally scavengers and also, a lone Hyena has a hunting percentage of up to 15% so would you call that scavenging?
@@Dutti215 If you don’t hate Lions then why do you always downplay them all the time?
@@Dutti215 Using your logic that Lions scavenge more than other predators only because of their hunting success rate, there are other predators that have a lower hunting success rate than Lions such as Tigers, so Tigers would actually scavenge more than other predators, troll.
@@Dutti215 Also, the only truth here is that you do hate Lions. You just pretend that you don’t hate them, even though you do.

Exactly what I was thinking! They should stop the attack on the poor giraffes
Yes, but how would you stop a pride of lions? And then what about the idea of not interfering with nature? After all, the lions have to eat.
