  • A lot of people are talking about Britney's songs like "Lucky" and how they are recontextualized in light of her conservatorship. To be honest, even songs like Gimme More take on a different meaning when you consider how everyone stole so much from her for so many years of her life. I think Miley's version here captures that sentiment even better.

    • This may seem like a crazy concept to you, but the music industry is older than AutoTune. People back then didn’t need it, and most talent nowadays doesn’t either. It’s just to refine things, it’s not an absolute game changer.

    • Most singers can sing that well without it. You also don't know that this isn't tuned, it's possible to tune live vocals, it's also possible to re-record live vocals. But yes, Miley is certainly a talent who has put in the work! I'd say beyond her good pitch, she has a real sound that's unique and has personality.
