People only remember Barca’s champions league exit. Even tho they got embarrassed in the SF Messi had carried up to that point, in Messi fashion. He dropped iconic performances in UCL Ro16 and QF inspiring a comeback down 2-0 and coming off the bench while literally INJURED to save Barca in UCL, can’t make this up the guy is literally a cartoon. So many iconic moments this season in La Liga too. His prime wasn’t from 08/09 to 11/12, it was 08/09 to 12/13 then 13/14 was his first “bad” season at the time.

I wanted to mention 6:55 but can’t just mention that one because whole vid is great still amazed by what kind of a player he was but still amazes us with his magical football even in mls i just want to say when people call him a system player sometimes a style of play and system can benefits you collectively by scoring which an individual play can’t sometimes but also sometimes a style of play or system can resist you from exploring your full potential and i am talking about some of his dribble where sometimes he seems to go all the way by his magical run but provide pass for other i saw it many time.
