Resident evil 4. It was my first resident evil game and set a bar so high only a few games even come close to it.

The first Resident Evil is my favourite. That mansion is absolutely top notch. Can't believe Resi 1 didn't get a remake. Just look how good Resi 4 Remake looks. Just imagine how it would look if they did the first one.
RE6 is the worst game I've come to love. Always had a laugh when playing it with a friend. Plus, the mercenaries mode of RE6 is probably one of the best in the franchise. Very nice stress reliever, if anything.

Over the shoulder is way better then fixed camera. It's harder to aim when it's fixed camera it's annoying. Over the shoulder is the best plus it feels like you're in there shoes, when you're like walking thru narrow hallways it a much better feeling. Fixed camera yea, but not so much. So glad they changed it
Awesome list, man. Though my favourite is definitely 7, mostly because it's not only a great game, but a great VR game as well. Let's be honest, those two things rarely go back to back XD
My list : 1. Resident evil 2 original version (My first ever resident evil game back when i was 5 years old and the bosses are really good especially the third mutation of William Birkin) 2. Resident evil 3: Nemesis original version (It took me a year to finish this game because i was so scared being chased by Nemesis) 3. Resident evil 4 (This game makes me fall in love with Leon and the monsters in this game are unique) 4. Resident evil 7 (Love this game because i think this is the most scariest resident evil game that i ever played) 5. Resident evil 1 remaster (The puzzles on this game are so hard) 6. Resident evil 5 (Chris punching a boulder) 7. Resident evil 2 remake version (Claire is so sexy) 8. Resident evil 6 (Love this game because you can play online)

i suggest you give RE6 try, it's not the best but honestly i still found it quite joy ride, i liked chris and jake campaigns and it has THE BEST MERCENARIES MODE with left 4 dead personally wasn't biggest fan of 7 also respect for showing RE5 love

Why does every one hate re6 like it has more replayability than re2r and the re3r wasnt as good as it couldve been but its about business it costs money and time to put everything people want in it so youd have to be ok with paying 80 bucks for instance or it coming in parts like ff7r sorry didnt mean to rant in the comments about things 90% of people dont care about good video tho and re4 is Awsome

It seems most people don't like to admit that the "downfall" started with RE4. The over the shoulder, action-oriented gameplay. Zombies that run after you, throw weapons, shoot guns etc. Atmosphere that's not suspenseful. In RE1-3 you feel at the mercy of those clunky controls.. from RE4 onwards you feel IN control. RE: Outbreak was the swan song for this series. Sadly this series is now also a zombie. Hobbling around, making noise and needs to be put down.

REmake and 4 for me. To be completely honest I find the RE 2 Remake to be the most overrated game of both 2019 and the series. I played it and mostly enjoyed it but I have no idea why people rave about it as much as they do. I found Mr. X so annoying that I legitimately stopped playing the game for six months when he showed up in Ada's section (which is already the worst part of the game) and hated the fact that I had to deal with him in the other campaign, and I don't find the police station to be nearly as interesting or atmospheric as Spencer Mansion. I return to REmake and 4 for the gameplay, awesome world design, Jill, Leon and sheer vibes. RE2 Remake offers none of that...well, except for Leon but as we all know RE4 Leon is a different breed of human altogether.

My list of favorite Resident Evil games would be 10 Resident Evil Dead Aim 9 Resident Evil Revelations 8 Resident Evil 4 7 Resident Evil Code Veronica 6 Resident Evil 0 5 Resident Evil 6 4 Resident Evil Revelations 2 3 Resident Evil 2 Remake / Resident Evil 3 Remake because Resident Evil 3 Remake is basically DLC 2 Resident Evil 2 Classic 1 Resident Evil 3 Classic If there is a Resident Evil game that's not on this list it doesn't mean that I don't like it. It just means I don't like it as much as these titles. As a matter of fact the only Resident Evil games I hate are Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City and umbrella Corps. And you know what, to hell with it. Best characters. 10 Albert Wesker The villain you hate to love. He will return. 9 Moira Burton A newcomer but just as welcome as the rest of the cast in my eyes. Her teenage try-hard edginess is just adorable. 8 Barry Burton The most badass goofster ever. 7 Sherry Birkin She wasn't much of a character in Resident Evil 2 but she came into our own in Resident Evil 6. 6 Chris Redfield The militant hero who plays by his own rules. For better and worse. 5 Carlos Oliveira The fearless, fun-loving mercenary. 4 Claire Redfield The sassy gal with a heart of gold. 3 Leon Kennedy The stern do-gooder who just wants to save everyone. 2 Jill Valentine The no-nonsense supercop. 1 Ada Wong The sexy femme fatale who knows more than most turned reluctant hero. She looks out for herself but when push comes to shove she always does the right thing. especially when it comes to matters involving Leon.
So if you think Resident Evil 4 is the best RE game Would you consider (The operative word being CONSIDER) Delving into another masterpiece of a horror game it inspired? Dead space franchise. And maybe even notice Isac Clarke as a candidate of "in the mind of" Or maybe the antagonistic Director Tidemann
I would love getting into Dead Space. A friend of mine just played through the two first ones; and it made me want to check them out.
@@KingJGrim you're not gonna regret it brother. DS1 is more of a horror oriented, while DS2 masterfully combines survival horror and action. And If you want any tips from me and my fellow veterans, the steam forums is where we roam.

agree. I've replaying resident evil action trilogy(4,5,6). I like 6 now more than 4. 5 is worst.
Well, as I said, I've never played RE6. But from what I've seen, all of the different scenarios were there to go for the "please all of the fans". Leon had more slow paced horror. Chris was a military shooter. Etc. Reason I put RE4 over 5 is simply that the pacing is horrid, and the CPU companion is all over the place.
Re4 is a perfect paced action horror game while re6 is a terribly paced action adventure Game. Don't be ignorant
@@erwinsmiths354 take it easy buddy. I hear lots of people enjoy Re6. But they don't like quick time events or action. If Re6 was it's own game. Lots of people would love. But they come plain about it not having horror. And how is that being ignorant?

It has issues but like come on all I heae mostly that "it's not horror". Well Re4 wasn't either so I don't see why people say it so much. Plus if they would of had just Leon storyline that game would of been so much better

RE3 had really easy puzzles. They required almost no work in getting them done. RE3Remake just had like... I don't know, 2?
@@KingJGrim it's a City it wouldn't make sense to have puzzles or challenging puzzles. Re2 remake was like that because it use to be an art museum. Capcom are making their games with more realisim I believe. What City even has puzzles? But they could've did puzzles in the lap
@@nicofeliciano2843 But RE3 did have puzzles in the city. Plus, the idea that game developers are to limit themselves because of realism, I find ridiculous. The Resident Evil franchise has been known for many things, and one of those would be that it has interesting puzzles.

@@KingJGrim Good point! Did you ever get a chance to play the original RE2? One of the DLCs for the RE2 remake allows you to play it with the original RE2 music and it makes a world of difference :) Also, whenever you're in the mood for cringe, I cannot recommend the very very fist RE1 enough :-D
As I said in the video, I have yet to play the OG sequel. Really want to though, as I genuinely loved playing RE3

That's why I like Resident Evil 6 more. It knows exactly what it is.
Re4 might not be a survival horror game but it's the perfect action horror game. It doesn't pretend to be a horror game.it has a perfect atmosphere specially in the village and castle. Ammo is more rare than something like dead space. Music is amazing. And no. Re6 doesn't know to be what. Ace combat? Call of duty mw2. For God's sake gears of war? That's why re6 is a failure. But re5 is action based but a well paced game and that's why i respect it.
@@erwinsmiths354 Again, I would disagree that it's the perfect horror action game. Those genres just don't mix. It's hard to take any threat seriously when the main character certainly doesn't and has no trouble dealing with any threat. Yes the ammo was scarce in Resident Evil 4 but that just made it more frustrating to me because it's a game that expects you to mow through enemies especially in the later portions. I'm not saying I don't like Resident Evil 4 I'm just saying I don't like it as much as some of the others. And as far as your argument against Resident Evil 6 goes I'm afraid I don't understand your point. I'm assuming the games you listed as examples of Resident Evil 6 being similar to them is a negative but I can do the exact same thing with Resident Evil 4 hello Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Solid. Another good example is Resident Evil 7. In Resident Evil 7 you have Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Evil Dead and Saw. Did you know that the original inspiration for Nemesis was The Terminator? Everyone always says that Resident Evil is the godfather of survival horror but actually it was really just copying Alone In The Dark. Even the first Resident Evil game is a spiritual remake of a game that was based on a Japanese horror movie of the same name called Sweet Home. I'm sorry to break it to you but Resident Evil has been copying homework all along.
@@Brandon_Powell action and horror won't mix together? Excuse me but resident evil is a mix between horror and action. It always was and always will be. It's not like cheap jump scare horror games for example "outlast". Resident evil never was "scary". It's a balance between horror and action with puzzle solving and ammo management being part of it. Im sorry but re code veronica isn't anything less than 4 in being a action game and i would argue its even more over the top. But coming back to the discussion. Let me clarify things: re7 was a survival horror game that was inspired by western horror like the Texas chainsaw,ok im agree with you. BUT and its a big BUT. Re7 knew to be what. It's exactly like re1. Slow paced start but a action packed ending. Unfortunately re6 didn't know to be what. Leon camping supposed to be the horror one. But its more action packed than 5,4. Chris camping was supposed to be the camping to please re5 fans but unfortunately it became a terribly paced mix between heavy action and jet fighting/car racing. Some boss fights where repeated between campains in the exact same way. This is a very bad video game design. Also about that re4 being frustrating for ammo. Then that's your problem not the game. Because it wasn't meant to be like full blown Acton games.
@@erwinsmiths354 A game doesn't need to lack combat options in order for it to be a survival horror game. The ammo balancing in the original series fit because it made it clear that you weren't meant to fight every enemy and you had options. That added in an aspect of decision-making that made which situation more tense. Having decide which enemies to kill and which enemies to run away from. Resident Evil 4 on the other hand expects you to engage the enemy more frequently yet it has the same ammo balancing as the original games. I understand that you're supposed to kite enemies together in order to take advantage of mass damage when you stun one enemy but relying on the random chance of an enemy being stunned is less than ideal especially on the harder difficulty. And sure Resident Evil 6 has the problem of the atmosphere not matching the characters capabilities but at least the ammo was properly balanced this time. I do think I understand another one of your criticisms now though. The game is to set piece heavy. Is a criticism I myself share. I never said the game was perfect and I do acknowledge that it has flaws but so does every single weather game in the series. That being said I believe that the positives far outweigh the negatives. Outside of the numerous set pieces and quick time events, which Resident Evil 4 and 5 were just as guilty of, the general moment-to-moment gameplay was phenomenal. The combat is robust and impactful. And that combined with the freedom of movement makes Resident Evil 6 the most satisfying third person action game I've ever played. Being able to dodge an enemy and then firing at it from the ground is incredibly fun and I respect any game that lets you fire at enemies while sliding across the ground. like I said before I do think the game would be better if they trimmed some of the fat. The strength of the gameplay alone is why Resident Evil 6's iteration of The Mercenaries Mode is hands-down the best in the series.
@@Brandon_Powell re6 isn't a terrible game. That award goes to re survival1,2-umbrella corps and even orc(despite some of it call backs). Have you played dead space series? The evil within series? Those games are action horror. Not pure as classic re games and not full action as re5,6. The difference between re4 and 5 and 6 is that re4 is a action horror game. It has atmosphere,tank controls and camera limitation (its locked). Its slow paced followed by fast pace followed again with slow paced atmosphere. And through,through it commits to the formula. Re5 is an action game. A well made one. Ammo is more frequent than 4 but less than 6. Just enough if you ask me. It has a good pacing and the end of re1s story(de facto). Re6 is an action game but not paced well. Why? Because of its uninspired gameplay core. I like re6. Im not a purist to hate every game in the series just to look cool. Re6 for me is a solid 7/10 for me. It has problems. Some big ones. Graphics where bad(in fact re5 had a better and more consistent graphics). Pacing was bad( for example first 20min of leon campain was pure filler while you followed a guy to open the doors for you) while i don't remember you felt this bored ever in re4 and that's why in my opinion re4 has the perfect pacing. AI partner was toone down compared to sheva in re5. And camera was awful. All being said i still enjoyed re6 more than outbreak games. Survivor ones and dead aim. But anyone who says re6 is better than 4 at least in my opinion is a selfish ignorant.
I'm getting really tired of all this bashing of 6. Yes it's an action game, yes it's silly, but is it bad? Hell no! Also, how are you going to pretend that 4 didn't first introduce the idea of "Zombies with guns" when the majority of the game is spent fighting enemies with all sorts of weapons? I like your stuff but the hypocrisy and narrow mindedness of this fandom is gonna give me high blood pressure.
There's more to it than just the zombies with weapons, it's the pacing, how it introduces challenges to the player and how fun are they to go through, and it's not like 4 is without sin, 6 is full of so much boring stuff, forgettable characters, and level design; like the catacombs in Leon's canpaing, it is sooo tedious so is the dinosaur, so is Jake's tyrant, or the snow peak, they're not fun to play to the majority; The bulldozer part in 4 is also tedious, so is 5 in the tombs; but out of the three 4 still has better pacing, music, level design and options to go through
I don't know. I feel that there is a difference between zombies with knives, and zombies who run around, hide behind cover, shotting automatic weapons. The bashing on RE6 is pretty much from every area outside. I'm being genuine in this video, I have never met anyone who would claim that the sixth game is their number 1 RE game. Maybe I would love the game. Maybe I'll hate it. But from what I have heard, it's not good. That's all I said

Yes 6 includes some stupid ass mini game style elements in it's campaign and Jake's campaign is a massive pain to play through because of them, but I still don't think it deserves the hate that it gets.

I see what mean, but I would say that 6 is my favorite RE when it comes to mechanics, I find the mobility and faster pace of combat more satisfying then the slower pace of the previous entries, but i'm more a fan of action games in general. Re2 remake was lazy and rushed like re3 remake and absolutely dogshit i will never put that in my top 5
