  • Rather Grim these toilets are (the Mens are quite possibly in a similar or even worse condition) and could well be the worst ones in Lincolnshire. The public toilets in Lincoln where I live are somewhat better but still not perfect (the ones in the cathedral being the best so far I have seen as they have to keep them in good condition there for the visitors).

  • You won't find many public toilets in England. When I was a young man there were plenty of public toilets and they were kept clean by our local councils. Today it is difficult to find a public toilet and if you can they are flooded with urine and lacking in hand washing facilities. I have prostate disease and have urinary problems, plus I am disabled so trying to find a toilet can be a nightmare. In Victorian times toilets were a work of art. If you are lucky to find a toilet today the toilet seats will be missing and the walls will be covered with graffiti. A sign of the times we live in now.

  • Well... that one auto-flush toilet may have a broken fill valve in the cistern. That causes it to fill and fill, until it eventually starts siphoning the cistern.

    • I thought it was some kind of mechanism rigged by city services to keep the toilet clean despite people who don't flush public toilets after using them.

    • @@jordynchan5103 That might be another reason. But I think its fill valve is broken. UK toilets have siphon flush valves in cisterns.
