Reminds me when I first brought my retriever into my household to introduce it to my huskies as a new family member. The retriever was scared of them, I think it's because of his memories of getting abandoned. But my huskies were gentle, by giving them the balls or the plushies to hug and play with. They'd sleep next to him every day, and now as I'm typing this, he's current;y running around with my huskies in our yard. They're playing tag :)

We adopted two Golden Retrievers last year after their owner went into care. Mack is now 11 and his daughter, Bailey, is 5. They have brought such joy into our lives.

I miss my German shepherd so much. He passed away this past December. His name was Blackjack. He lived here in Las Vegas.

This is the cutest ever! I love German Shepherds and Goldens as well, and seeing them being all cute and silly is the best. I like how they both tried to lay on the same spot on the couch as big dogs and they couldn't fit lol 🥰
The thought of sitting on the sofa covered in hairs, dog smells, possible fleas picked up when they were outside playing and not to mention their sometimes smelly rear ends makes me want to puke. Plus the first picture of them on a bed …yuck! My friend has a doggie sofa just for them, not the one he uses. I like dogs but often wonder about their owners! Felt sorry for the Labrador having to fight off an over energetic puppy. Best to get two young dogs and bring them up together I would have thought? Not an interesting video, …..noisy, disruptive, dogs which their owners find entertaining for some strange reason.

So cute! I have had both a German Shepherd and a golden retriever. They are both wonderful dogs. They have very different personalities, but I can see how they could complement each other very well. And both of them just really want to be lapdogs! And I love how they are both allowed on all the furniture! Just like my dog.❤

I love how jealous he was and then and he got older they really became brothers. The little sibling you get that annoys the heck out of you but you love them to pieces haha
Most of the time it is a display of which is the top dog.
It’s neither. Dogs are incapable of experiencing abstract emotions like ‘jealosy’, and the ‘top dog’ and the ‘dominance theory’ has been proved wrong by the person who has first introduced it. What he is actually doing is showing that the pup is in his personal space and he is not in the mood to play or cuddle.

They have a friendly and sociable temperament. Labradors and Golden Retrievers also have a higher expression of a certain gene (OXTR gene) which leads to increased social bonding, trust, and friendliness. So you don't need luck with an individual dog with these breeds. Virtually all of them are safe and friendly. They are so popular precisely because they are such a safe pick, and also exceptionally good with families.
It's amazing how sometimes dogs look like they're fighting, but actually they love each other and don't want to hurt each other.

You never completely change what you are born, and a wolf would simply see that puppy as food and rip it to pieces, no matter how you brought it up. Most breeds of dog have been genetically bred for thousands of years to give out nothing but love...the ones who didn't, killed off. We can't do that with humans, so it will always be an 'if only'.
