The work done in this video probably saved 1000 calves. Long hours, sitting. Bitter cold & scorching heat...but it must be done...if we're to have any food. Great work guys!
i wonder how many dogs and cats were saved also
Instead of killing them to save the lives of 1000 calves, there are so many ways to drop down their population. For instance; sterilisation, transportation of them to other places or zoos. But confess it ! Bullets are cheaper. Aren't they?
@@irfanerenturk5977 who cares if there are other ways. You're right one is cheaper and easier and more practical.
Saved lots of rats and mice a hole
@@irfanerenturk5977 and sterilisation is supposed to be more ethical? Also, sterilisation only works for the future, it does not solve overpopulation now. Transportation to zoos? And which zoo is going to pay for 30+ coyotes? They still eat meat, you know? It's a huge expense to keep them safe and healthy. Include breeding facilities and veterinarians specialized in these animals. Also, would it be more ethical to confine them to a small space? These animals are not bred in captivity, they are used to freedom. Would you suggest transporting them to another land? And then what happens? You upset the ecosystem and its fine equilibrium. Yes, bullets ARE cheaper, for both people and nature.
These coyotes are being given infinitely more humane deaths than they give to the chickens and calves they prey on.
They kill to feed. We don’t.
@@jaredmercado7045 I've heard they taste like waygu

@Nazar 23 They only did what comes natural for them. I love how you put a human spin on it though.

22-250, when you want to leave a lasting impression. I had my first one built in 1965. A nice presentation. Thank you.
A coyote ripped my favorite cat in half. This video is therapeutic for me. In fact I'm considering learning how to hunt them myself now.
Somewhere that roadrunner is laughing his ass off.
Your shot placement is first class.
Respect to the 3-legged coyote at 2:39.
Not going to lie...kinda felt bad for that one.
thanks for confirming,,, I thought I saw a 3-legged coyote in the footage....
everyshot is a kill shot!! something every hunter should strive for. nice work guys
I really respect your marksmanship skills. Almost every shot you guys show is a clean, quick, ethical shot. Thanks fellas, I try to do the same.

@@user-lb2pp9zl5q GREAT
A lot better than most of the pig hunting videos out there!
What do yall do with em after u shoot em?
@timerolunkerdown Where I live the pelts aren't usually worth skinning, and current market prices are WAY down. My state pays a $50 bounty for each one we turn in (scalp with ears attached and lower jaw).
Excellent shots! Here in Michigan we are over run with yotes, time to start checking out that 22 250..
Try also a 6.5 Creedmore, I've seen ranchers nail coyotes using thermal imaging at 600yards+, what a treat.
Where allowed the 22-250 makes a fine deer round out to a couple of hundred yards.
Solid, clean, quick kills! Amazing work! Hard to tell what the ranges are exactly on a video, it would be terrific if you could edit in the range and just put it in the lower corner somewhere--lot's of folks out there have no appreciation of what they are seeing here and I think it would go along way towards showing you're highly skilled and able of making phenomenal yet merciful shots
Long as they croak who cares
Wow clearly the road runner seems to have stepped up his Acme game 😵
@@josephgallegos7208 🤣🤣🤣
Who cares about merciful shots. In the circle of life there is only one way, and that is "anyway" you can. Man is a part of that circle, don't ever forget that.
@@joe7114 hey it's impressive either way but are these 15 meter shots or 150 meter shots... it is a big deal to know the distance, as anything under 50 is a casual slap for a good shooter :P I don't hunt but I do help my friends sight in their deer rifles most years - we shoot down a few trees in the process each time (just popple, don't get mad). We generally start at 200 and try to fine tune for 300. It gets progressively harder - yet reflexes still can beat your eyesight as the last time I went I was squinting a bit as I age and wasn't really sure how well my 300 meter shots were going to be. I know I felt centered on the bullseye as I squeezed the trigger but it was blurry each time. Placed a grouping in a 4" circle even with such doubts (on a rifle with a completely uncalibrated scope that had just been slapped on, which was underpowered for 300 lol)... my hands knew what to do and when, even though my eyes were in doubt. :P We were getting one of the teens' first rifles ready to go as a surprise - so it could be gifted right before hunting season (along with his first license) all ready to go (you're not allowed to go Rambo close to hunting season, so you need to do any fun shooting/scope calibration before the season). Kid got one that year I think...
Wile E Coyote and Elmer Fudd SHEESSSH...Be berry berry quiet..I'm hunting coyotes..hahahah..
Such beautiful and magnificent animals. It's really sad that this has to be done but coyote populations are out of control. Thank you for taking the time to make sure each shot counted and the animals suffering was kept to a minimum.
Spot on, Jeff. This work must be done.
Jeff, how do you know coyotes are outa' control?

It’s a very flat shooter as well! The .220 swift is a darn good varmit caliber too.
I love mine too.
22 creedmoor
Also a 222 Remington. Or a 257 roberts
I was scoring about 80% on gophers at 225 yds. A worked up hand load turns a 1/2 decent 22-250 into a tack driver.
I can hear Walter Brennan now,"Leave them dang coyotes for the buzzards"...lol

Great video. Excellent camera footage. Thanks!
Very refreshing! Far too often video looks like the camera man has Parkinson’s. Very steady hands on this video.
Why are some people so mad about this, it's not like the bodies go to waste and I'm sure some other animals would be happy to find some free food.

@@richfarfugnuven6308 listen to our podcasts we go into detail on all of that.
Being a retired, older hunter with a lot of experience behind a 22-250, you're making very well placed shots! My last loading was a 50 gr Spitser, which I preferred to Match Grade bullets. I converted from a 243, which let too big a hole in everything with the 80 grain HP. The hot 22's are safer around livestock, etc.

Great video guys, I love the sound of that suppressed 22-250 ... KRACK ...THUMP .. LOVE IT !! Keep up the good work !
Very nice shooting, clean ethical kills. Some of your shots were long but all were accurate. Back in the 80’s I hunted coyotes with a Remington 22-250 700 heavy barrel topped with a Leupold 3x9. I loaded my own and used 52 grain. What optics and bipod are you using? Really enjoyed the video thanks for posting.
i really don't like those cold cruel behaviors ,why they can be so barbarous
I'm using a 7.62x39 as my primary coyote gun right now, and it ends them quick. I'm running it through an AR with a Sightmark Wraith on top. I stumbled across some 123 grain soft points that's as quick and merciful with them as any varmint round I've used. My previous was a 20" .223 Wylde with a PA 4-14X44 in DMR HUD reticle. I've put clean shots on yotes as far as 400 yards with that combo. I've since retired it to Dedicated Marksman Rifle status. I use my AR10 a lot for white tail, though. An SR25 clone with US Optics 5-25x on it. I trust it to ring steel out to a thousand, and I'll take shots on white tails as far out as 300 with no worries. Holds 2" groups at 300. If they're good enough for people, they'll work for animals.

Thanks for saving livestock! We have lost three goats and multiple chickens from coyotes and Black bears just this year and a half. Of course I am never home when it happens.
What do you do with the remains? I hear they aren’t so tasty. Pelts? I understand it’s for the livestock and so on, but just wondering if there is a secondary use for a dead yote.
Nice !! I love the 22-250 ! They drop before they can even hear the sound !

What the bunny huggers don't realize is you are saving people alot of money. I support your efforts. Plus it looks like a true challenge of skill. Awesome shooting boy's.
How do flock guardians do against Coyotes when trying to protect livestock and a property?
Not a bunny hugger, just concerned that removing predator's from an ecosystem could cause a lot of damage
@@unapproved-apples809 There is plenty of coyotes to attack cattle so no need to worry about extinction.

Hey , hola sir , which camera you are using for long range of zoom and high quality videography ?
EPIC!! that 22-250 gets the job done! #'s 2.3 and 4 are perfect--#3 is probably my fav shot--at great distance and the perfect look back.. the one @ 2:11 was just a mossy backed freak--was hoping you got that one but you got his partner! @ 3:14 you might have had a double or a triple "single shot" with a 300 Win Mag!! Was hoping for a double in one there!! @ 4:20--classic wary dog that got smacked! @ 9:00 he posed!! I love your videos, great shooting, great filming--great scenery. Reminds me of my days in Kansas and the Flint Hills and Western Nebraska--I would pay $5,000 to hunt for a day with you Gentlemen! Keep rolling!! I was walking a game trail hunting a Black Bear north of Kalispell Montana and came face to face with a huge coyote--at first I thought it was a Wolf--maybe 8 or 10 feet apart--I had an 8MM Remington Magnum in my hands--slowly I turned the barrel towards him, he hunkered down and I pulled the trigger at point blank range.. The locals all said he looked like a "cross"--crossed with a big domestic dog or Wolf they said--have you Gents ever heard of or seen? thanks again for the posts--amazing skills!
Coydogs while not 'common' are out there. The worst part is they don't have much fear of humans so kids are in danger. Wolves will simply destroy coyotes as they are competition for the same smaller game.
Wow, envy your great marksmanship. Wonder what would they do with those carcasses, clear off the manually or just left them to decompose
They carry them off otherwise other coyotes could canibolize them + most always these guys want the hides too. Even if you left them mountin lynn's, bob cats, foxes, unless totally hunted out. Otherwise birds of prey would eat them buzzards, hawks, Eagles. If you ever kill a rat, throw it in you back yard, I bet its gone in an hour. Doesn't seem like their are any predators in a typical neighborhood unless you leave a dead animal out, then you do and hear the come!
Curious coyotes are so cute, they stare like saying "shoot me, I'm a sitting coyote."
Great shooting. Is the primary aiming point head shots or body (heart)? Are the bodies left to rot?
Respect to you for protecting your own. I hear them on my street and I wanna do this to protect the animals that live in my neighborhood and I live in LA lol. Amazing shots!
Too bad city people have no understanding of what animal control is or why gun rights matter.
Yes, our pets and children are much more important than these bloodthirsty predator coyotes.
The one with 3 legs at 2:35 was probably thinking his days of bad luck were over, not. The Coyote's stop and say take your best shot. Mighty fine shooting.
amazing shots man! very impressive!
What load are you using ?
I’m sure farmers and ranchers would put up with more field mice if it meant fewer attacks from coyotes on their livestock. But you know that the coyotes wouldn’t let up on the attacks.
Those coyotes were just dying to make the highlight real! Excellent video work.

Why not have both for dinner it's like chicken or beef .. flesh is flesh right
How long do those barrels last with the 22-250? Do you burn them out pretty quick?
Some of the coyotes look like they're rolling back in laughter, when they get shot
imagine doing a 360 degree kill that will be POG
what is scary is the fact that for at least some of these the coyote seems to know where you are before you take the shot
It's almost like they're posing for it.
