    • They can’t afford their roster next season. Maxing Siakam puts them well into the tax.

      @AlSemz@AlSemz17 күн бұрын
    • @@AlSemz for next season they sit at $200 mil, but that includes all the holds and everything, without those they sit at 107 mil. The holds are 42.3 for siakam, 20.625 for mcdermott and 20.4 for toppin. I doubt that mcdermott comes back and I doubt that toppin costs anything close to 20 mil, nesmith was extended at 11 mil and was a starter, toppin doesn’t start. so say that 42 something number, brings them to 150 ish even if you bring back james johnson (just as a filler and as a locker room guy), that leaves 2 roster spots and wondering about if you want to pay toppin or elevate Walker. Could also trade Jalen Smith (who hasn’t played these playoffs despite being healthy). I don’t think the Pacers will want to exceed the tax at all. That tax is estimated at around 171 mil for next season. Pacers can fit under that and keep a bunch of their depth. Just saying that maxing Siakam does not put them in the tax. Paying Toppin and McDermott 20 mil each in addition to paying Siakam would however put them in the tax.

      @thomasthomasthomas296@thomasthomasthomas29617 күн бұрын
    • @@thomasthomasthomas296 ….. no no no. Obviously you don’t count the holds everyone knows that’s not counted toward the cap. The projected salary cap is 141 next season First apron is 171… they’re at 150 after the siakam man. Toppin can get 15-20 easy as a forward that can rebound and shoot 3s. This isn’t 2005 anymore. They’re looking at potentially second apron full a full roster that’s good which also comes with penalties regarding mid level exceptions and sign and trades….having 2 maxed players puts you in the tax now just look around the league…and with the new rules you can’t just do what golden state was doing… Pacers will not be able to afford this team going forward. When’s mathurin die for his extension again??? lol it’s just gonna get harder each season… the joys of that siakam max.

Excuses, excuses again from Doc Rivers. 4 weeks ago towards the end of regular seanson, Bucks lost to Grizz and Doc says "Gannis was running on fumes" and admitted that he should have taken Gannis out even if Gannis wants to play. If Doc had limit Gannis minutes, he would not have injured at the end of the regular season and get swept in the playoffs to the Paces. I am sick and tired of Doc's excuses.
