This fight was the real deal.. Big Respect to Loma and Lopez honestly.. There are very few boxers who would jeopardize this much for the sake of legacy
Only one guy jeopardized much that was Loma. Got caught with his pants down off a 14 month layoff with what appears to be a training camp injury and pissed away all his hard work just so this kid could get all the glory in one fight. If that kid loses then he just lost to the best and wasn’t ready and can move on. If this kid doesn’t rematch Loma then Loma gotta go after all the belts again whether that be at 135 after this bitch vacates and runs off to 140 or at 130. This kid got 3 belts in one fight acting like he did something special. Got his head bounced around like a beach ball in the second half and dudes act like he clowned Loma. Shit pisses me off. The score cards seem to me unreasonable. Lomachenko had clearly won the later rounds, and in a much more dominant fashion than how Lopez won the earlier rounds.

Loma will come back. True thirsty champions come back. Loma had far better punching stats. He threw fewer than Lopez but hit most of the punches than Lopez did. Had loma started earlier he would have won the match. He just took the wrong method and tactic. I still think loma is a better fighter.

Normally what big name A side boxers due is get a rematch clause incase they loose (like AJ vs andy) but in that contract it doesn't work the other way around meaning if anthony Joshua wouldve won that fight there would not have been a rematch. Great fight Teofimo sticked to the gameplan and it worked.
We all noted that Lomachenko did well in the latter rounds, but what was significant is that Lopez fell apart when he was forced to fight on the inside. Loma may not get a rematch -- and I think a fight or two first will be useful to work off a little ring rust -- but if he does, Lopez' weakness will not be overlooked by such a skilled strategist as Lomachenko' s father. Or by others.
