  • Seems that have having a payout rate itself should be illegal. It’s wrong for the machine itself prevents a win instead of player skill.

  • We had these at Disney, but the payout was nearly nonexistent. First, none of the prizes are in the boxes, there's a card with a code to redeem. This company has been sued in numerous states. I tested this machine extensively, even placing one in a busy Cast Member break room on free play and programmed it for a high payout. It paid out 3 times. I found the issue in programming, it can't be programmed out, I called the company. They told me. When you push the insert button just before the key reaches the hole, it almost imperceptibly jukes up. We removed them.

  • Nice video! Where I used to work we would take out a prize on the top and middle row to make it look as though they had been won. Also, each level is a separate pay-out and not all locations change the prize value for each level. This means that if one level pays out, the other 2 will pay out pretty much at the same time. Still, this game is VERY difficult.

    • Torey Beauchum there was this one machine in a magazine joint that wasn’t based off payout and was based on skill, called winners ringer. I won’t 3 times on that machine on 3 separate days. Went home with $400, a PS4 and iPad Air. Wish they never closed that joint down

    • You can contact the machine company and they will send you the prize. I won a game similar to this once and went for an Xbox controller, however the thing was jacked up and I had to pick a different prize. Ended up contacting the machine company and they sent me the controller as well

  • This should be not be legal. For the user, the game appears like a game of skill, while it is actually a game of luck. That's fraud IMO. They should have to place a huge sticker onto it: Mostly based on luck, not skill!

  • The local Round 1 in my area has one of the Key Master machines but it operates differently. Instead of the joystick to move the mechanism, it has a button you press once to move it from left to right and then when you have it lined up to where you want it, you press the up button which stops the horizontal movement and now starts going up and once you have it lined up, you press the stop button to make the key move forward into the hole. I dunno if its a newer version of Key Master.

    • Prize Locker. It's not rigged. There is a tiny notch in the keyhole and you have to get the key in the notch or it won't work.

  • I just played this game, and the key actually went through, skinned, then came back out. But the Nintendo switch didnt come out smh...   • I saw one of these in the city and I won a bunch of Nintendo Switch controllers(4 wired ($50AU each), 1 wireless($100AU)) and a mini drone ($90AU) within the past year, all on the bottom row. Mainly because I figured out that said row pays out every 2 weeks on average. I usually spend no more than $5 at a time ($2.50 per game) and around $10 or less when it's due. Thank you for showing me how to do it.

  • As someone that works at an arcade, I can confirm that most of these tips are true, but don’t go based off of if the prizes are being won or if they’re missing. The reason I say this is because, almost every weekend about 3 bottom and 2 middle row prizes are won, and that leaves me reloading the prizes. There are a lot of places that are on top of making their arcade games and Winzones looking fully stocked up and nice for guests to spot new things.

  • When we first got these games at Disney, I checked the keyholes, the key did not fit through all of them, I sent pics to the distributed and they replaced them. That didn't fix the imperceptible juke that was programmed in when you pushed the forward button, it could not be programmed out.

  • Some of the machines I've seen have one perfect slot where the key fits. The keyhole will be too small for the key, except for one tiny notch where the end of the key perfectly fits, so some of them are likely rigged physically and not programmed, or probably both.
