In this video I continue building my welding equipment. This time I make a welding table. I am beginner in welding but it looks like I'm making some progress, right?
All plans I ever made I collected in one place. Save this link for future - I will add new plans to this collection and don't forget to subscribe to my channel to stay tuned.

  • In this video I continue building my welding equipment. This time I make a welding table. I am beginner in welding but it looks like I'm making some progress, right? 12:12 as you can see the table top was curved down because of shrinkage of welds. Watch this video how I fixed this: kzhead.info/sun/l8h8lJllr6SBdp8/bejne.html All free plans here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1636_O_7KVQ5hzWAhDXBornWnvxXfweba?usp=sharing GRINwood shop: www.etsy.com/shop/GRINwood Support GRINwood: PayPal: grinwooddesigns@gmail.com Special thanks to Marc Köhring Roger Shiffler Knut Olav Skare for donates

    • Great build... I think I will build one just like it. I have a question though... what kind of super glue did you use on the rubber pads and what did you spray on the rubber just before attaching them? I have never had any success getting rubber to stick to anything no matter how well I prepped or the adhesive I used.

  • As far as a sturdy reasonable costing welding table goes that is one of the best tables I’ve seen. Great work!!

    • I just built one based on this video but went a little bigger and it's amazing. Edit: No warping or problems with heat and I've abused the thing. I do lawn care as my business and make products welding that I sell on marketplace and this thing can deal with 12 hour days of constant heat, though I've only had it about 3 months and only put in a full full days of welding on it when the weather is too extreme to do lawncare.

  • I just built this table and it looks amazing but I added a pull out tray to catch the welding slag and anything else that might drop between the slats of the table top. Thank you for your blueprint

  • Very nice build. Having built a somewhat similar table, I realized afterwards that I hadn’t left room underneath for my feet and a TIG pedal. Something other new builders may want to consider. Nice table and a very good video!👍🏼👍🏼

  • Nice job! One suggestion, put castors on the table legs so you can move it around. You can move it to other areas of the shop, and it's easy to sweep under when you move it.

    @summersoldier3311@summersoldier3311 Жыл бұрын
    • Very important. Load capacity should be a minimum of 150kg per caster. The table itself will weigh between 100-200 kg. The work load would max-out around 100kg. That’s 300kg total mass. Add hammer blows and dropping heavy work onto the table, (impact load) and that double’s the load present - you end up at 600 kg. 600kg/4 = 150kg.

  • i like all the hold down holes , i made my welding table out of a 4ft round "Chill" ( a 2 piece round centrifugal mold bolted together for making hard surface welding rod and inserts "forney supercote ect.") is bout 3 inches thick with a hole in the middle(to pour the molten metal in) is extremly heavy but when you weld to it you can just take a chisel or punch and knock the splatter off

  • The one thing I'd suggest is a stripper wheel for the grinder to remove the oxide layer. Everyone had their own opinion but at least for me, the stripper wheel works the best in terms of speed and amount removed. I think they're usually found with sanding items or at least closer to the wood workin sections of hardware stores. The other benefit is it has the ability to remove light to mild rust at the same time so when it's time to paint, a real quick hit from the orbital and that's as good of a surface as you can get without a sandblaster
