I have the entire series on dvd which also includes an obscure german special they made specifically for german tv. they all spoke german throughout and it even includes a german version of the lumberjack song. oddly enough, one of my favorite episodes was produced during their final season, AFTER cleese left, called mr neutron. the entire episode followed that singular theme like a short film. the dog/spy just cracks me up!

Was Charlie frightened of the twins? From what I’ve read he was street smart, sensible and a people person. Did he not speak to them? It’s too late in retrospect to say “we’ve blown it”. Or was it the case that they didn’t listen to him? So many questions. Did Cornell actually have no fear of them and that’s why he was taken out? Was it a slow decent into madness? Was it madness from the start? Why didn’t any of these other so called hard men “intervene and do something”? Mr. C. Kray was so street smart he got a very long sentence in prison. I do not believe he was any more frightened of his brothers than a normal person should be during the fifties and early sixties. But my guess is once the body count started to increase any normal person should be at least a little worried or afraid. Not afraid of the wayward brothers but for them.
