​@@gamerscompleteforce and power are not the same! Engine force rely on torque and rpm. In simple terms torque gives you informations on how big of a Force needs to be applied to stop the engine. Power gives you information about work. To he bigger the torque the stronger the engine. That's why tractors have huge torque because they need to overcome bigger forces. F1 car ( according to various sources) have a torque of 280-300Nm which is smaller than your typical VW Touareg. Yes F1 cars have power of 1000hp but low torque because they don't need to overcome huge forces. Those rugby players would have hard time to beat a car that have high torque and lower hp. I can bet that any 4x4 would beat them.

@@mtraven23 F1 cars have amazing torques, so much that you can spin out from too much power and it happens quite regularly even in official races. put dragster wheels on that F1 and its a different story.

its all about strength. Unfortunately for the f1 car, it has 0 torque this low in the rev range. Try this vs a cummins 2500 with 25 dudes.

@@caboose22320 if the wheels are turning forward, but the car is going backwards then the limiting factor is not power, it's grip. it doesn't get simpler than that my guy. this is why cars have these advanced torque vectoring systems; to prevent them from using more power than they have grip, which makes them slip and hugely impacts their power efficiency.

This F1 car would simply break if given more traction as you refer too. It has very little torque to handle more grip in this scenario and the clutch and drive components would simply break if more grip were to happen.

Horsepower didn’t matter. Is the torque and f1 have really low torque

Friction Is the main part of this. Not enough friction for the tires to take advantage of the torque

Traction matters even more than torque after a certain point, like, there's a video of a duramax beating a 6x4 semi truck in a tug of war. Not because of the torque, but because the chevy has softer rubber with weight on the truck bed, simply put, the semi had WAY more TORQUE, but couldn't use it as it's tyres just spun in place

@@bmad1386 ofcourse traction matters. But here they are using a F1 car that obviously on a soft compound tyre. If the F1 have more torque the story would have been different

It’s not the ho that counts here, you need grip along with torque. An 80 hp tractor would effortlessly push 20 rugby players all day long.
