    • @@kaboomer4297, a standard .308 produces a muzzle energy of about 2800 ft-lbs. A 50AE tops out at about 1500 ft-lbs. A .45 gets about 400 ft-lbs in standard loadings.

I think many of us would really appreciate your showing us a picture of your shoulder after firing the 950JDJ. I can't believe you didn't take one, given the power of the round. It doesn't demean you to show it, we're all mortal, after all. Hell, I bruise after a few rounds of my 375H&H, and I put a brake on it! Again, great work. First one was my own 1911, where I reacquired my target after the previous shot, and realized that my front sight had slid all the way to the side; one shot more would have jettisoned it. A couple guns later, I was shooting a rental Springfield 1911, and mid-shooting, I got my sights back on target, and discovered the front sight was no longer there. I could not believe it.

  • When I saw Dave Bautista use a double barreled 1911 in Spectre I thought it was a fun classic Bond villain silly gadget that made it into one of the more serious Daniel Craig era Bond movies. Since then I've seen them show up on different gun tuber channels and realized that they are, in fact, actually existing silly gadget guns!

  • Brother, I have tried to be able to collect guns for years, but so far all I have is two 9mm semi-auto pistols (a SAR which is my favorite, and a Ruger P95D), and a 22lr semi-auto pistol. When I went to the gun store to transfer ownership of the 22lr pistol I held a 45ACP 1911 and I fell in love, but they wanted $1,800 for it. I have wanted a 45ACP for the LONGEST time, but I just can't afford it. I don't need anything special, but someday maybe I will finally be able to own one for protection purposes. I know, poor excuse to true gun enthusiasts, but I have more important bills and a big mortgage to pay for to keep a roof over my family's heads.

  • The 1911....the most polarizing handgun on the planet (and I'm talking about the regular ones). The 45 ACP, also the most polarizing handgun cartridge on the planet. I'm surprised this thing functioned as well as it did (kinda like 50% of all the regular 1911's out there, hahaha.. Very cool video though!!! Loved it!

You can literally see the force of the recoil roll smoothly from your hands and wrists up your arms and into your shoulders and torso but impressively your body reacting to it right along with it just as smoothly and quickly. 🤯
