BIKE RESTORATION - Old & Broken Bike Turned Into Dream Mountain Bike [ASMR]

Owner of this bike (friend of mine) called me and said he was about to throw this bike away... thankfully he called a right person.
The bike came with some pretty random parts on it, but i was lucky enough to find some new/used parts that would match the build for cheap and also freshly painted it and serviced everything on it!
I am really happy how this project turned out, but more importantly we saved another bike from junk yard and give it at least one more chance!

  • quick tip, never loosen bolts off with the button head of the allen key. it'll round it off quicker

    • Thanks, i also always start with normal head, because it gives you more torque and it's not round, like the bottom one. Than after its loose i will do the bottom head cause its faster, but definitely a great tip 👍

  • Nice build. I'd just clear coated the sanded down version of the frame tbh... that was looking so sick and raw but still, really nice restoration of an 26'' mtb. What kind of chain did you put on? Is that some sort of "self tensioning" stuff?

    • @@Nexxxx Not long ago I've built myself a similar bike. There was a 2010ish hardtail collecting dust around my garage so when I stumbled upon an used Cresent dirt bike frame for 25€ it was almost a non brainer. Such an enjoyable project.

  • Finally a video when i see the chainring setup on exterior,like mine,normally all saying need to be inside of the pedall..so is ok?if i got iut like in this video?can affect my chain to slide or something like that?

    • It doesn't really matter if its inside or outside, it depends on how straight is your chain line, front and rear sprocket should be in line with one another, hope you understand what i am saying 😀

    • Just a gasoline 🙂, Works really good, but make sure to rinse it off well
