I live the borderlands characters they were all really good some of them didn't get great screen time though and some of the skills felt lacklustre like Nisha in my opinion just giving the player aimbot and a fancy screen effect it wasnt much I feel like there could have been more to the skill but was cut for development time sakes

I always just assumed Zer0 was a robot of some sort. Robot characters in the franchise all share the trait of having their names spelled with numbers, and Fl4k says that Zer0 seems familiar to him.

Actually if you look at their hands and builds (body size/frame) I'm willing to bet that Zer0 was another archival assistant bot like fl4k. Four fingers, same height, fl4k really only has wider shoulders.

Trying to parse Zer0's origin is to miss the entire point of the character. Theres a reason the robot eye is "Not Can0n" because his origin is not MEANT to be comprehendible. Zer0 is meant to be like his name sake, "nothing" "Null" , whatever you THINK he is, whatever you WANT him to be, he is thematically and canonically *_Not._* He is the living embodiment of a mystery. In a sense hes alot like a Lovecraftian cosmic horror, something you can't and are not supposed to make sense of. He defies understanding. Giving him a concrete backstory would be the WORST possible disservice you could possibly do to the character. (Which given Borderlands 3's track record of insulting character disservice would not surprise me if they actually tried to do just that)

I love when they kill off loved characters in good ways THAT MAKE SENSE. Bl3 did not do that. The only time bl2 killed off a character in a bad way was when we killed wilhelm. But to be fair he wasnt AS big of a character until now. He still was jacks strongest enforcer and he even wiped out new haven. The only way it makes sense for jack to poison him is punishment for failing to kill lillith.
@@uncleharambe632From what I've heard, that whole thing is not entirely canon, or confirmed to be canon. I don't see why it wouldn't be canon. Makes sense that Jack wouldn't make it entirely impossible for the VHs to get the "shield generator", considering he's still needs them in order to attack Sanctuary. But the issue with that is, why was Wilhelm on that train to begin with? He would've been better off at the Bunker protecting Angel and the Vault Key. Why was he on a train protecting a generator that Jack WANTED the VHs to take? Maybe the writers kinda forget to physically include him into the story and decided to give us a quick boss fight with him? Because, he doesn't even get an intro scene. Then again, maybe Jack wanted to make it LOOK like he was really trying to kill you up until that point. Personally, I've always theorised that Angel was secretly using Phaseshift during that boss fight to weaken Wilhelm's cybernetics and weapon systems. Or that the BL2 VHs are just that badass.
For fun facts with claptrap I was expecting you to mention how he was able to predict future missions. In borderlands 2 before you open the secret stash in his corner he asks you to do like 5 random missions that end up appearing in borderlands 3 as actual missions. 1)Collect 139,377 brown rocks 2)Defeat Ug-Thak, Lord of Skags 3)Pilfer lost staff of Mount Schuler 4)Defeat Destroyer of Worlds 5)Dance, dance, baby When I saw these missions in borderlands 3 I had extreme deja vu 😅

I think the reason amara has so many powers it’s more she has creative use of her only real power, the arms, and using specific motions she could have them do special things, may be wrong
I mean, we have been watching lillith train her powers through the games, maya had training but it was limited and she didnt have a whole lot of real world experience to start her vault hunting career with. Amara is a vigilante celebrity before the game starts, shes had her powers and been actively using them for an undetermined amount of time before the game starts. And i kinda agree, the others powerd and vaguely nebulous. Amaras is simple, she is a dnd monk.
I always thought it was just they all had the same “amount” of power but it’s just been shown differently throughout each game
@@joedickman3777I agree. Because let's look at like this, from a gameplay POV, usage of abilities will ALWAYS look less impressive that seeing the abilities used in cutscenes or by NPCs. One of my favorite video game memes is how boss characters are unstoppable forces of nature when you're fighting them, yet they're nowhere near as powerful when they become playable. (Looking at you, Magneto in Lego Marvel Superheroes)
as a dedicated Wilhelm main I've always found Wilhelm very goofy, since at launch he was actually the game's dedicated support, as fully speccing into his red tree enables him to heal and massively buff all allies around him while also granting periodic shield restore pulses to his allies SupportHelm isn't the best, especially for a first playthrough, but he is wonderfully silly
He Was Actually My First Character In TPS So I'll Always Have A Special Place In My Heart For Him
It's also weird that in BL2 they always say Wilhelm was the strongest Vault Hunters until that point as he singlehandedly kicked Roland, Brick, Mordecai and Lilith asses in one go yet in TPS he's nowhere near the strongest Vault Hunters in the group.

1:10:50 Zer0 doesn't actually get any bonus gun damage from deception cause its bugged. It only affects melee damage... also Zer0 has so much damage already that he really doesn't need the bee cause hes a glass canon/

Fun fact: claptrap is the only character in bl2 to call war loaders well, war loaders! Everyone else calls them badass loaders, from what I noticed.

In the side quest that you help a murderous AI get a new body to kill, after the Constructor he talks about a war loader nearby (borderlands 2) so I guess it's a robot thing

I think the reason amaras abilities seem way more advanced is because developers gave more gameplay choice/freedom in how to apply her abilities in battle. Maya realistically would have the most diverse battle tactics because her ability is basically telekinesis, there would be nothing stopping her from levitating around in a phase lock or even dragging the weapons from enemy hands.
In one of the earlier gameplay demos, Wilhelm’s cybernetic voice is noticeably a lot more robotic. Something I wish they kept in.

@@jaydantastic3529 They kept his voice changing, but it was A LOT more robotic in the gameplay trailers when they got down to the vengeance cannon. Kinda more like his bl2 voice.

Kinda late but I just stumbled upon your video, I would like to add something interesting about zero. Remember Battleborn? So, gearbox added several easter eggs about Borderlands in that game, it just happens nobody played lol. One of the factions in that game was called Jennerit, they are VERY reminiscent of Zero's demeanor, appearance, color schemes and the list goes on, oh and all of them have 4 fingers aaand they are somehow immortal. One of the charactes named Rath reminds me of Zero, he even uses a similar katana but he does have a human face. So yeah, they probably were planning on expanding this part of the lore but oh well, never happened

I don't wanna sound like a perk simp, but I know damn well you didn't just skip over Krieg's Unleash the Beast perk. The perk that regains all health when you are close to death by turning you into a badass psycho, basically providing a second wind without the need to fall first. (the animation also looks cool)

I think that zero is either robot ( I think from dhall or Hyperion as there is a very Hyperion based head for hi) or he is either an alien but I believe he is a robot as the not canon head piece sounds just like what a robot would say if their disguise was compromised ( and we know the vh name their cosmetics because kreigs heads)
I need to play the original again. I started on PS3 late 2020, which stopped as soon as I got my PC. Anyways, in order: 1. Lilith- I just really like sirens. 2. Technically axton, but only because before getting the game for myself, I had only played co-op and didn't know I had other choices. The one I consider first is Maya. Tps- winhelm. He's far from my favorite to play, but I've had a blast on all but claptrap and Aurelia (bc I haven't tried them yet), with my favorite being Timothy. Bl3- Amara was my first choice. I originally started on my old laptop, on minimum settings, playing off a flash drive. The lag was real, but I persisted. Until I bought fallout new Vegas. I would later finish 3 on my newer laptop, that can comfortably run at max settings with only a little bit of lag! Oh, sorry. I dropped Amara shortly after the.... ah, I think it was the April 2021 nerf? Yeah, I noticed that everything wasn't dieing easily, read the patch notes (legitimate skill issue btw) and moved to Zane, whose unparalleled speed has spoiled all other characters for me.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, the "One" thing is actually revealed to be Zane, based on the fact he has a skin called "Assasin One" which resembles Zer0 and based on the fact they went to the same bars and were potentially friends. They also have similar technology except for Zane focusing more on the clone instead of hiding or anything.

I started taking the Iron Cub tree’s “health regen for burning enemies” and “Incendiary damage during skill cooldown” on top of a Bloodletter Shield build to make what I’ve been calling Ironman Moze! Bonus points if you equip iron cub with dual flame throwers :3

The siren is my favorite class in borderlands as a whole, i got borderlands 3 yesterday cause its on switch now and on the e shop all the dlc is free for some reason at least on the e shop but im playing as amara in borderlands 3, i tried kreig but to me his play style is really weird to me for some reason, but i do also really like gaige

I think the blood is due to her model probability just being a copy paste lance assassin model, or it could mean at one point in development we may have had the choice to side with Knox.
The more build I didn't do running on fumes is a bit better go to since you gain damage armor and more fuel for IB plus it's busted with the nukes
