Thanks for this video. I got a lot of tips from this. Just a note: I use 7min for the runny yolk and hard white (also known as volcano egg) and it works too.
Thanks!! I will try 7 min boiled egg next time 😁
Is the egg chilled or room temperature?

Very very taste food.....super

Love this video! Been wanting to make homemade ramen without so many of the extra days it takes for some of the broths haha 😅. Also I noticed at 12 mins or so you do what i believe is called a "cartouche". Seen it done once or twice at my restaurant but always with parchment paper. Basically just helps with keeping in moisture while boiling something. Thanks again!
Thank you so much! I am so happy you liked my ramen recipes 😆 And, I've never known there is a term "cartouche"! Thanks for telling 😊
Nice recipe

Very good to eat 😋
Thank you very much!! Please give it a try 😊
Love this quick and easy tutorial ! I made the shoyu ramen with chashu and it was amaaaaazing ! The only problem is I haven't mastered the perfect ramen egg yet, as the shells stick, so they looked weird.
Thank you so much for trying my recipe!!! I'm soooo happy you liked the shoyu ramen 😆 About the egg, it is said that if you pierce a small hole in the shell before boiling the egg, you can peel it cleanly after boiling.
@@JapaneseCookingChannel Thank you ! I will try that next time.
I found the older the egg, the easier it is to peel! Try using eggs you’ve had in the pantry for a while and icing the eggs for 5 mins before you peel them
Tomorrow I'll get my delievery with ingridients and I will try to make tonkatsu ramen :) I wanna get fluent in cooking some easy japanese dishes, none of other cuisine doesn't taste for me as much as japanese
Hope you will enjoy it!!
Thank you for this episode! Ramen is my favorite food and I’m tired of buying store bought because the soup base never tastes as good. I like you added actual ramen soup or char siu pork recipes. Tonkotsu ramen is also my favorite. I wonder if you have a recipe for TanTanMen?
Thank you so much for watching my other video! I've made tan tan men with instant noodles. Please check this video (#1 in this video) and I think you can use the soup recipe for tantan men! kzhead.info/sun/fNWyhptraKKrZ58/bejne.html

Thank you so much for trying my recipe! I am so glad you liked this tonkotsu-style ramen 😆😆 감사합니다 😘
I love Japanese food
Thank you!!
Because some restaurants took the short cut and put milk to make tonkatsu ramen that I almost die. I’m allergic to dairy products and I didn’t realize that they put milk in the both. That scarred me so bad now I can’t even eat Tonkatsu ramen anymore 😢but I’m going to try the other recipe. It look so good❤
In real ramen shop, milk is usually not added in tonkotsu ramen, so please try it when you come to Japan. (Please ask stuff there just in case though) Anyway, I'm happy you liked the other recipe. I would be happy if you could try them!
I'm glad that you came out ok. That had to be extremely scary
its so gret
Thanks!!
Looking forward to try all these ramens. They llok delicious!!! What miso paste do you use in tonkotsu ramen? Kome, genmai or mugi miso? Aka, hatcho or awasemiso?
Thank you for watching my video!! I use Kome miso. Aka miso and awasemiso are good, I think :)
terlihat lezat
Thanks!!
Yummoooo ❤
Thanks!! 😘
Saving for the chashu pork. You make it look easy
Thank you so much for watching it! That was sooooo good chashu pork! I will definitely make that again, so hope you will like it too! 😆
I love tonkatsu ramen, but I don't want to spend hours boiling the soup! I especially love adding a half boiled egg. I will definitely try this!
Adding boiled egg sounds so good! Please give it a try!
I ready to skip the sugar instead I don’t like sugar with foods instead in cakes and dessert Thank you so much for your recipes and your love much love to you ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
I came here to think about eating *3:47am
Thank you so much!! Please give them a try!
Aaaaah thank you so much for sharing these yummy recipes! I have a quick question for the tonkotsu soup base... Is it possible to use an alternative to milk? I am allergic to milk 😭
Thank you so much for watching my video! How about using soy milk...?
@@JapaneseCookingChannel ooh yes I shall try that, thank you so much!
Wow, what a great set of recipes. The 'sake' you use....what kind is it, do you refrigerate it? Can you use 'cooking sake' instead of drinking sake?
Thank you so much for watching it! You can use cooking sake too! Mine is drinking sake. The brand name is "Sho Chiku Bai 'Ten' Sake". www.wine-searcher.com/find/sho+chiku+bai+ten+sake+japan/1/japan I just buy this because this is the cheapest one so far. 😁 As for storage, since cooking sake contains seasonings other than sake, it is better to keep it refrigerated. While, the sake I use is always stored at room temperature. (Others may have a different opinion.)
@@JapaneseCookingChannel Thank you.
Thank you for all this great recipes! I personally dont eat fish, is there anything to substitute the oyster sauce with?
Please make substitute by mixing these: 1 tbsp Soy sauce 1 tsp Honey A pinch of Chicken stock powder
Thank you very much!
try to find this --- hot and spicy trident 2min noodle love to know how to make this flavor
Hi what kind of corn you use to cook for the miso ramen? Thank You. I would like to try to cook for myself the miso ramen.
Thank you for watching my video! I used canned corn. Just normal one without any seasoning. Is it answering your question? If you have more question, please let me know. Hope you enjoy delicious miso ramen at home 😆
Greetings from the U.S. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and will definitely be making these recipes. Is this chicken broth powder you mention in the video available in the United States or is it only sold in Japan? Also, could you spell the name of the chicken broth brand as I'm sure I wasn't spelling it correctly when I searched on line for it. Thanks so much.
Thank you very much for watching and subscribing my channel! I am so glad you liked the recipe :D The chicken stock powder is called "Somi Shantan". I think you can buy it from here. (On an international site, I could only find high-capacity ones.) amzn.to/3LRsFW6
this is great - thankyou! - a good middle ground between instant artificial in a packet and spending 24 hours making a stock...
Thank you!!
It’s been one of my dreams to have tonkatsu ramen 😭
I love that too! Hope you could try that at home 😁
I wanted to make ramen someday and I feel great finding your channel with this recipes! I have one question, is it obligatory to use sake? Can I use something else? I am waiting for response!
Thank you for finding my channel! You can use white wine instead of sake 😊 If not available, please skip it. Hope you enjoy ramen at home!!
great video! what type of miso would be good for everyday use … esp for tonkotsu ramen?
Thank you so much! I think miso made from rice koji is most common and popular miso in Japan as it matches various dishes. I use it for everyday use (miso soup), and also used in tonkotsu ramen. For example, like this one here↓ amzn.to/3VcoeXX You can use miso that is easily available!
thank you sooo much … would you recommend a miso with dashi for everyday use? love love your videos
@orange the visiting cat Thanks for your comment! Yes, I recommend it :) I like to use miso with dashi for everyday use because it's easier and saving time. I often use it in dishes other than miso soup, as the dashi broth in it gives it a rich flavor. It is your choice, so any miso can be used with or without dashi.
What kind of milk do you use? Thanks for sharing these recipes. Im going to try it for sure.
Thank you so much for watching my video! I used whole milk. But you can use non fat milk or some other kind if you want. Using soy milk would also work, I think.
Sobarashii!!
Arigato!!!
Quick question I don't like the taste of miso very much, do you have any suggestions for a substitute? Great video as always!!!!!😊😊😊😊
I think you can use soy sauce instead. Thank you so much for watching my video! 😊
