Someone said on BMW forums that dealer gave them new rear view mirror to replace to help restore key fob range. Can you verify or explain?
Trying to install by doing the reverse, but instead of staying seated and twisting, the mirror pops up and won't attach?
My rear view mirror doesn't have the garage door buttons. I have a 2010 328i E93, can the mirror be upgraded to one that has door opener buttons? If so, is it a simply mirror replacement or do I need to add other electronics? Thanks!

What is that device behind the bracket that you took off that has a barcode on it?
My E90 mirror fell off so I unplugged the harness connected to it and now it crank but won't start.. I got a cas module error.. it thinks my windshield missing.. is the mirror harness tied into the alarm and is it normal for disconnecting the mirror harness to cause a no start condition?

I twisted it and the ball joint that goes inside the mirror popped out, I tried reinserting it and it will not pop back into place. Could you help please? Thanks!

Nice video. Took mine off before watching the video to see how to put up a dash cam only to find cut wires. All the sensors are missing plus the wire harness that goes under the roof liner is cut. Idiots. Does anyone know what harness number it is so I can replace it?

The rear view mirror mount has come detached from my windscreen. I have split it from the mirror. Does the mount get glued onto the windscreen or is there some double sided adhesive pad? Also what orientation does the mount go back onto the windscreen ie what is the position of the notches relative to a clock face.
George Mayes I was wondering the same thing, he said leave a comment in the video and he would reply but I take it he hasn’t? Did you have any luck? The mount seems symmetrical except a seam on it, and I was wondering if I should use gorilla glue or something else.. they need to fix the dang roads around my house lol

Richard Holmes yes I used glue from the automotive store and the orientation seems to be I think the triangle pointing up I’ll have to double check!

What is that lower sensor? Is it attached by an adhesive? Mine was loose. . .
Ambient light sensor? What exactly does “lower” mean as opposed to upper? What is your reference?

If your car is the base model and doesn't have the built in alarm then the red light won't come on.
But NOTHING on reinstalling.
The video was supposed to be how to remove and replace, mirror was not replaced.
This does not cover upto 2013 like he says ...LCI is different
