Umm al Quwain features as a stage finish on the UAE Tour for the first time. This 170.3km stage is another for the sprinters and an opportunity for lots of riders to open their account for the season with a win. With four roundabouts in the final 5km, the pressure is on the leadout trains to look after their fast men and drop them off in perfect position for the sprint to the line.

Nice to see Groenewegen not hospitalising the competition.
Nice straight line by Dylan
Commentator sounds like he’s reading a history book 🥱
I tell you, these motorways make for wildly attractive viewing.
Always watching from Georgetown Guyana south America 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
not considered as deviated?
Two questions…1) is that guy incapable of sprinting in a straight line? And 2) is the UCI incapable of consistently applying its rules?
1. Yes. 2. Yes.
Yep. I don't think Gaveria had it to come around but Groenewegan definitely stuffed him into the barriers. That was 1990's old school.
@@jamiepaolinetti5087 Had the exact same thought...if so, makes me like Gaveria even more for not throwing a tantrum across the line.
Thank you !
Fernando💪🏻
Such chaos. Much nonorderliness. WOW
Thanks again for the content, excellent
thanks, glad you're enjoying it!
You can’t be serious. This is the worst commentating possible. That guy should be reading children’s books to 1st graders.
I find watching these more enjoyable at 1.5x speed
the roads surfaces look like a dream, they look as flat & smooth as paper, would be a pleasure to ride & race on road surfaces like these guys are riding on
right up untill youre in a sandstorm in the middle of the desert
Looked like it sloped really badly from right to left though… 😏
If UCI doesn’t do something about this he’s going to end up sending someone to the hospital 🤦♂️
At this point I consider Groenewegen a multiple attempted murderer
Like everyone said. Riders have been relegated or disqualified for less and Groenewegen does that all the time...
You'd think nearly killing someone was enough for him
He should have been banned for life. What an asshole
@@4ndyc74 was that him or the lack of safe barriers by the organisation?
@@briangoossens1519both
@@briangoossens1519 it was the perfect storm of poor barrier design & angry toddler
bruh, Dylan Groenewegen never learns with that kind of sprint.
Always hoping the camera isn't covering the finish🙃
Not gonna lie, dirty from Groenewegen by deviating that far left to cut off Gaviria, seems all to similar to what happened with Jakobsen... Dylan's gotta clean it up, he got lucky today
Dirtiest driver in the peleton
Yep totally squeezed that other rider out.
Should have been banned for life the first time
I thought his hook to the left to get on Bennett's wheel just before he started his sprint was worse. The others must hate riding in a bunch with him.
🫂 Very selfless of Merlier to pump the brakes and give up the intermediate sprint bonus seconds to Evenepoel.
a wider road and there might have been three lead out trains!
To say that it wasn't a deliberate foul is bs. Somehow everyone else resisted the temptation to dive for the protection of the left barriers.
He know Gaviria was going to nip on the sprint thats why he did it. You can see Gaviria had juice left in his legs.
Gravilha 2* colocado outra vez!!!😮 faltou posicionamento
Foi gravilha a mais 😂
It might just be me, but cav doesn't look that comfortable on that new bike yet
Lol maybe. Didn’t look too bad today tho he came from quite far back
@@zackreynolds7590 he did have an initial spurt that looked pretty good, but he's cadence and flow looked a bit off, I'm thinking a few more and he will get more confident on that rig
Anyone else just realise Demare is even here?
He just started his season.
@@frankburn6312 It's February - they've all just started their season....
In the sprint they want to be on the barrier so no one can come up the inside. So if G-wagon overtook the guy on the right, and then went to the barrier, he probably didn’t expect any one to be coming up the inside.
he knew that guy was there. He thought he was sprinting alone in the woods?
Groenewegen is gonna kill someone someday. He needs to take up another sport like MMA where that's the name of the game. This is disgusting to call this a win. Congrats Gaviria on an amazing sprint!
Where was Ewan?
He finished 14th
I didn't see anything wrong with Dylan's sprint. Gaviria was already on the barriers before Gronewegan over took him. When the door was closed, Gaviria was already behind, didn't miss a pedal stroke and I didn't see him remonstrate about it afterwards.
That's just Gavirias general personality, just like the time he didn't celebrate on the podium when awarded a win after Viviani was relegated
Groenewegen clearly had a lot higher turn of speed than Gaviria. Gaviria doesnt have to break or avoid Groenewegen. It's instinct to move to the barriers, but I would prefer him keeping a straight line. I just don't know what would happen if Gaviria did have the same speed. Would Groenewegen still move to the barriers or not... we will never know.
If Gaviria would have the speed it would be either brake or crash (which isn't so uncommon in a tense sprint, just look at Merlier in last race's sprint FA) but this was just very unnecessary and dangerous.
Dylan doing Dylan things 🙄
is every finish a "sprint chaos"? 🙄
Well done by Groenewegen ❌❌❌
Different announcer please 🥱
Where's Cavendish? Not easy to win when you don't have a team pulling you to the end.
Didn't see Dylan soloing from 300 meters either. He sat on wheels until 100 out. Why you wanna hate? How's that working out for you in life?
Not easy to win when you have teammates pulling either...
Understand that, but there are times when good sprinters are able to hang in without a lead-out and win. You can count the times Cavendish has won without a train pulling him to 200 meters from the end. But these Cavendish lovers will label you the devil for stating the obvious because, how dare you to say something negative about a guy's performance riding a bike.
@Misael Tejada sure and there are times when a sprinter loses their leadout and falls well behind them. There aren't many sure things
@@misaeltejada6239 the issue is singling out a rider and not criticizing every other sprinter who didn't win. Is there a reason you didn't criticize other sprinters for not winning considering they all has sprint trains?
This is the worst commentator I’ve ever heard. Beside the fact that he sounds like he is reading to 6 year olds he gives away the winner before he reaches the finish line 🥴.
What a snooze fest this announcer give me. 🥱🤷♂
Did you watch the actual race? Because this guy is actually my favorite and one of the most passionate broadcasters live
