Losing a mother is only tragic if you were close to her what about those who abandoned their loved ones and didn't give any good excuses. If my own didn't want me i not crying down my life and hurting my own self by feeling bad for someone else. In KAT's case he had a loving mother but has to learn along with others that we are here for a short time, even if its 100 years it is still short because the hours in the day are very short plus you minus the hours people sleep and time wasted.

76ers just picked bad. Embiid is their best pick at any draft position since Iverson. Celtics could tell who was going to be picked when trading down. If anything they traded down to pay less, as they knew who they wanted would still be on the board. Good draft for them.

Stunted/Injury Riddled Players and Draft Busts since 1980: Ralph Sampson (1983): he and Olajuwon were the original twin towers, but injuries really hampered him. He played like 70 games in his last 3 seasons combined iirc because of the injuries. Pervis Ellison (1989): could never stay on the floor at all. Had his best season in his third year tho where he averaged 20 points and 11 boards, winning Most Improved Player. Joe Smith (1995): the dude drafted before KG. Singlehandedly bankrupt himself by flushing 61 million down the drain. Was actually very good in his first few years but eventually just transformed into a roleplayer. Also had that controversy with Minnesota. Michael Olowokandi (1999): was very talented but untouchable, as Kareem puts it. An unwillingness to accept criticism, a detrimental attitude and a billion knee surgeries eventually ended him. Kwame Brown (2001): I still applaud him for having an otherwise solid career, but the pick was still horrendous, especially since it's Michael Jordan as the GM. Everyone knows what happened so I won't explain it. Andrew Bogut (2005): dude was an insane defender, singlehandedly making the Bucks a top 10 defense iirc in his prime, but that horrific injury robbed him of his stardom. Still managed to win rings tho with GS. Andrea Bargnani (2006): I honestly don't think he's that gargantuan bust as everyone puts it, but the numbers he put up still doesn't justify his draft position. He was a black hole on defense and his shooting didn't really carry over from Europe. Greg Oden (2007): Still think he would have been very good had not for his injuries. Doesn't really help that KD was drafted after him tho. Derrick Rose (2008): No, Rose is not a bust. That's just heretical stuff to say. But the ACL injury robbed him of so much at such a young age. He definitely would have done a lot more down the line, like more all star appearances and a huge chance to be first ballot HoFer. I'm very proud of him for picking himself back up however and rediscovering himself as a professional basketball player. Anthony Bennett (2013): I know the draft class as a whole was very weak with Giannis and Gobert being projects, McCollum being not that highly touted and Victor having to go to 3 teams to be an all star, but what the fuck was Cleveland thinking? Markelle Fultz (2017): he has the talent, and I still think he still has a lot of time to at least create a respectable career, but that number one pick potential is long gone.

He doesn't play like a #1 pick, but that's not the same as being a bust.

Mourning hit a buzzer-beating, midrange jumper in game 4 to win the series.

Wiggins is one of the more interesting examples. Really young kids who just started watching might think, "wait he was a #1 pick?" Whereas older people saw him playing an important role on GSW and thought, "wait, that dude's still in the league?" Because he looked like a flop for a good 5 years there. He's still not playing like a #1 pick, but he has a ring and was a solid contributer to get it.

Nothing about Ben Simmons huh?

@@user-xj4vl6cd7c orlando didnt get championships
So sad David sterns last no 1 pick had to be Anthony bennit
I’ve been watching this since 2019 and since I’ve been watching basketball since 2019 and no number 1 pick has been a bust so I hope banchero isn’t a bust so I can keep up my streak
I've been watching since 2021, I hope I don't lose my streak either
@@renji-san5273 yeah if cade Edwards and Zion’s have good years it’s save to say there not busts but paolo will have to have 2 good years to prove he is not a bust cuz u can’t judge people off there rookie year
As I was watching this, I was feeling like I saw more and more busts the closer we got to the present. Even if a player isn't an immediate bust, it's hard to live up to the hype of being a #1 pick your whole career. You can start off ok, get injured, and just kind of fall off.
You think Cade Cunningham a bust? Man you don't know.
2023 The San Antonio Spurs Select: "Victor Wembenyama"
3:40 Yao Ming and his family seemed so weird 😂 it’s like they were trying to hold in there excitement. But wtf was Yao doing! 😂
Come back to this video when Paolo gets Rookie of the Year Let’s 👏Go 👏Duke✊
Glenn Robinson is and was underrated an nba great
Mano os caras das antigas já tinham cara de veteranos kkkkkkkkkk
Sometimes I forget Shaq was even in the nba, let alone the 1st pick. I just knew him as that big guy that’s in every commercial 😂😂
When Lebron went back to Cavaliers in 2014, Cavs have 4 #1 pick players.
David Robinson @1:02 Greatness has arrived by 89'
Hakeem is my mines 🤍. What a talent. Second I like is Kyrie.

You fine ngl, you got ig?
POV: Me telling my self I will be in this video in 2027 for the 873 time
The suits got much better over time and thank God the mammoth baggy look went out of style
Only a handful of 1st round picks were really worth it.
I know almost every single player since 2010 it's crazy i don't even into nba that much
KZhead algorithm has made me return to this video a day after 2023 draft. Here before Victor Wembanyama takes the basketball world by storm
damn 2007-2012 was stacked imagine a team if most of these players weren't injury prone Greg Owens (2007) C Derrick Rose (2008) SG/PG Blake Griffin (2009) SF John wall (2010) PG Kyrie Irving (2011) SG/PG (we can bench kyrie cuz if D-rose wasn't injury prone he would have been the next kobe, besides john wall is a better pg and drose was a better sg than him) Anthony Davis (2012) PF
Joining soon, to the San Antonio Spurs... Victor Wembanyama!
Jalen’s might be more ‘popular’ (Kenny Powers voice), but Anthony’s go 1st Overall.
No cap
Best number 1 draft team C- Shaq F- Duncan F- Bron G- Rose G- Iverson Thoughts?
Probably would take Kyrie over Rose just because he’s a better shooter. Otherwise, I think everyone else is the correct call. Hakeem would easily be the debatable one for bigs but TD and Shaq are too good to leave off the starting line up.
Yeah, that's pretty legit.
It's good
I'd take Olajuwon over Shaq
Robinson
The camera quality between 2008 and 2009 is crazy
Idk if this is funny or sad but it’s funny how a lot of these guys are happy and then time goes on and now u look and haft are literally on there way outta the league or just in completely bad situations
@@zacka6226 honestly I think you're overrating what a 1# pick should be. Definitely not what he was for a couple years but with GS I think he is really living up to his potential. He was definitely the second best player and contributor behind Steph in the finals and not every 1# pick has to be a generational talent.
So no one’s going to talk about the Ming family having an awkward moment on live tv? Lol Low key it was wholesome though lol
funny thing is Yao who seems like he's gone forever, was the year before James lol, like man LBJ is been in forever
David Robinso + Tim duncan = ☠️
Poor stern coulda had his last no 1 pick announcement on a good player but got Bennett lol
Cavs have had FEW #1 Drafts Picks over the past few years....and only got 1 championship.
@Reginald Wilson Andrew Wiggins as well although they ended up trading him to the Timberwolves before he made his NBA game debut.
the fact that Kobe and MJ were not the 1st picks is still a bit crazy since we are used to see future superstars like LeBron, Worthy, even Wemby and Banchero as 1st picks
Why are number 1 picks always complete legends or complete busts, why they never mid level players at least lol
Because the expectation are really high,so if thy fulfill it they are stars and if not they are busts
Wiggins?
Nobody talks about Mark Aguirre nowadays, but he was a 3-time all-star and averaged 20+ points every season for miserable Mavericks teams plus he averaged 30 on 52.4% shooting in the 83-84 season and didn't even make the All-NBA team. I don't think he really fits in either category, not a all-time legend or a bust.
@@gasaidjohn3499 2 times champs at detroit as à starter and then 6man also pretty Good pick whats funny is that thé number 2 of his draft class is Isiah Thomas his future teamate at Detroit and also Childhood friends i think
Andrei Bargani
Phila selected back to back bursts in Ben and Fritz
Crazy how MJ wasn't a first pick and is better than all of the players mentioned in this video. Also, I'm tryna hear the "and the San Antonio Spurs select... Victor Wembanyama from France" this year
Why did Stern randomly give up the mustache tho lmao?
Sucks how most ppl are not even know in the nba now or have like 80 ovr
The guy has potential to be a Chris Webber type build
The camera quality change from 08 - 09 though.
