@@raymondo162 Ok Boomer....
i was just sitting here watching this and thinking the same
It’s not bloody though.
Mornings are terrible
it's weird how doing 65 in a car is like nothing, boring day to day commute, but 65 on a bike is heavenly
The sensations from a fast ride on a bike are on the different level
he looks really tired for riding downhill the whole way
30 on a bicycle is terrifying, lol. I'll leave this to the professional.
Until a bug goes into your eye 😅
Same lol 😅
Recovering from my 3rd knee surgery in the past year. Ill never ride like that again due to some unforseen circumstances throughout this process that has left me pretty disabled. Your video brought me back to the time I did a palm springs 100mile ride that took us deep in the desert. Wasn't too hilly, but def had a calmness to the ride. There was a point where my buddy and I were deep into the zone. He would lead, then I would. We stretched like that for miles. No talking, no gestures, no nothing. Just the road and our grit. Thank you for sharing such an amazing ride. I miss my bike. I miss my life prior to my injuries. I miss it all. Don't take your health and body for granted.
Recover and have a good one man…. Hope You can ride soon keep grinding
How it was happen?
Sorry to hear brutha I don’t want to take mines for granted thanks for the wisdom 🤙🏾
When I was younger, I used to ride down hill a mountain with a group of cyclists at 60+ mph. We also ran through stop signs and traffic lights and got screamed at by drivers. Looking back, I am grateful that I didn't end up dead or paralyzed for my recklessness. For those who are inspired to do the same thing after watching this video, I say don't even try unless you are an experienced rider and know the road really well. Your cool looking helmet is not going to save you from a nasty spill at 65mph or a head on collison with an unexpected vehicle coming at you around the corner. There's a reason you don't see many old dare devils.
You'll recover soon man, I pray that you go on such rides again!
Give this man a speeding ticket and a medal.
In the opposite order and lose the ticket!
in the "tour de france" 100km/h downhill is basic
The speeding ticket is definitely the medal
and a bread or something to eat
Do that in a peloton at 110km/h and he gets the medal @ the alps, he gets a medal and respect. 100km downhill alone with such a wide rode, well, any average road cyclist with experience going down will nail it.
Watching this is like I'm dreaming. The sights, the sounds, the speed...total bliss
Forgot to mention ignoring all the speed limits :P
I was watching the 1986 Tour de France another day and back then they were doing 60 mph on the descents. Beautiful to watch the old classic bikes.

It took me 3 1/2 hours to climb that hill during the Badwater 135. Seeing him do it in reverse that fast is incredible. For those that don't know, it's 13 miles with a vertical mile of different between the bottom and the top of that road.

Doing those big turns at 60mph is insane. For me it's scary to turn at like 25.

The sheer scale of this valley blows me away, the sense of depth and parallax. North America is blessed with some of the greatest landscapes in the world.

I have to disagree there’s pretty landscapes in US, Mexico and specially Canada but the one in this video is just unimpressive. It’s like the most common landscape in North America.

@@elmaschimba963 no tolerance for disrespect to the west 😊
really? it looked ugly as hell. Most of the US is boring flat farm land. British columbia in Canada is amazing tho
I remember the first time I went 55 on my bike. My only thought was, "if I wipe out, it's not going to matter so just enjoy it and relax." Needless to say, I was scared to even tap the brake. Beautiful video.

@@eefmeca lol, thanks!
Exactly...Fastest I've gone in my area is about 47mph give or take. But the hill I can get these speeds on is only about 30 seconds long of a ride at that speed. But yes, it's an extremely steep hill. Granger Road Hill in Cleveland, Ohio.

kudos to that cyclist (3:20) who rode a long way to the top This has to be one of my all time favourites. The setting, the speed, the music. just perfect .
The road is amazing. No pot holes.
Its incredible how fast modern racing bikes can be ridden ! I owned a Klein Adroit XTR back in the mid nineties and the fastest I ever rode it was 45 MPH .
Ppl descended at this speed or quicker in the 90’s
This is literally one of the best cycling vids I have ever seen. Everything from the scenery, to the speed, to the music, it's perfection.
...to that strange moment when rider looks into the camera and everything looks either fake or a set! This was so good I'd buy a whole series of these vids to loop: like a 6 runs per video dvd (if dvds are even sold anymore). As a kid my dad would watch SyberVision before leaving the house to ski, and anyway, I'd do the same with this. Incredible!
I agree. Epic. I wish I could do it if I could guarantee my safety
as a photographer, I have to say that the photography in this is jaw dropping and I don't know how you can do it.
I wonder what camera he used and how he moutned it
There's something that feels special about reaching that speed on a bicycle. Even when you ride a motorcycle, it doesn't feel the same...
60mph on a motorcycle just feels normal (if it's not your first time of course, But it will still become normal), You are on a powerful machine built with road comfort and control.. Plus you have a helmet/visor on so don't feel the elements lol. A bicycle is a much more fragile manual machine, At any high speed, Let alone 60, You are gonna feel that fragility which will bring more self awareness, And probably more nervousness, And so that speed will be more apparent.
Best of the best, instantly one of my favorites man. Love the rolling fly-by start Love the soundtrack choice Love the colors Love that shot at 8:00, wallpaper quality Usually more into your training ride videos but this was ART, and I'm glad it exists.
Thank you.

Love the scenery, and that silky smooth road.
Watching a very fast ride gives me goosebumps all over my whole body. And I felt like I was on another planet because it was a landscape that I had never seen before.
Pure gold! This channel is therapy for me. The vibe, speed, scenery and production quality win me over every time. Also, the Eastern Sierra and desert region including Death Valley is one of my favourite places in the world - beautiful and otherworldly.
Heaven on Earth. Wonderful shots. Amazing ambient sounds. Perfect.
Wow, that is what anyone would call a ride! I love the way the video was taken, it felt as we were in another planet.
That was brilliant. I love a good descent but that was taking things to another level Brian. Great camera work and loved the backing track too. Chapeau !
The saddle color-matched with the tires has a really neat touch to it. I love it!
Beautiful, everything just so smooth and serene, empty the mind and be water.
FANTASTIC POV/photography.....well done boys! It brought back memories....the spills, the chills, the speed; my fastest was 41....downhill, and I thought I was gonna die. Of all my pursuits/sports in life....bicycling is definitely the one that beat me up the most. The real Iron-man feat of strength in all this?: straddling the bike frame, crouched, nose on the handle-bars, ALL the way down.
Nothing better than an early morning rid3 with the sun coming up.
Eres el mejor Safa, eres mi inspiración. Espero un día rodar igual que tú. Salúdos desde la Ciudad de México, nunca me pierdo tus vídeos!
This views, riding, and audio made this so nice to watch, meditative if you will. Keep it up SAFA!
SAFA is like the long lost friend to me who you're never gonna meet, but always staying in contact with somehow from time to time, embodying all or alot of them wishes, dreams, passion which i'm striving for. love that whole style of urs and ur videos and the feels it's giving me. what you do is signature because you're just being you. THAT is the way.
Double cheeked up pedalling through the dessert oh lawd have mercy
When i descent with my mtb bicycle, even 50 km/h feels fast for me. İ can't imagine how fast does it feel to go faster than 100 km/h. The wide view angle of the camera makes the sensation of speed slower than what you will feel if you were riding that fast. Also great camera work.
Off white and light green scenery, gorgeous landscape… and what a descent, 100kph 👏 Amazing to see you focus while seeing your stomach’s heavy breathing! Congrats to the cameraman as well !
Perfection, background music/sound design, location, videography. Love it!
Crossing the yellow line,no rear lights and going way over the 30mph speed limit! What a guy!!!!!!!
That landscape with the mountains in the background is absolutely beautiful
Absolutely gnarly! At 60 mph, you lose any semblance of spokes, and the bike looks as if it’s simply suspended perfectly center of the tires. Beautiful stuff man, you’re a beast Safa!
One of the best videos on the internet. The music, colors. Pure Bliss❤️👏🏻
Beautiful video production here of a truly epic ride. Pretty terrifying to watch him navigate those winding roads at such speeds!
Everything about this-music, photography, mood-captures what makes the Eastern Sierras so unique. This vast, stark, aired out, beautiful landscape. A loneliness that's almost meditative. And that's all on top of the descending which... well you know. Loved it, thank you.
Awesome SAFA, this should be entered as a short in film fests. Camera work, editing, soundtrack, location, mood , atmosphere, badass, had me psyched to the point I expected "Dragonaut" to drop at the 8min mark!! Thanks for all the work...very inspirational.
Agree 100% def up there for a contender in film making
Crazy talent. Also how lucky to start your day with such a beautiful ride.
For the love of this sport, to keep riding for longer, and because it's not worth the risk; thank you for letting us get a glimpse of the emotions you feel when going this fast for this long.
SAFA - the only cyclist I know of that honestly has to be concerned about speed traps.
anyone can get to 55. for his speeds you need warm weather, time trial clothes, and a good road
@@markifi And a weight-to-power ratio (well, me, anyway).

yeah technically bicycles have to follow the speed limit too so when they passed a 30 sign going 50 they could be pulled over if a cop saw them lol

That’s really fast. We don’t have any roads like this in the UK so if you’re reaching 50mph or averaging 40mph over a 90 second segment then you’re pretty darn quick. Well done!

Incredibly inspiring! I just had my best cycling day ever in 40+ years today and watching puts the perfect cap on the day. I'm inspired to continue to keep improving. Thank you! You've really outdone yourself with this one!
Spectacular landscape. Climbing that must feel like it never ends. It's a really attainable descent for most riders as it's not mega steep, corners aren't too sharp, road is wide, well sighted, lacking traffic and good surface. Would love to do it one day. Beats the hell out of 20-40% grades, terrible surfaces, tight unsighted corners and lots of cars round here - all of which are pretty terrifying.
except for the cars part, those are what i do gravel for :D
This video made me get into road/gravel riding the perfect video and a piece of art

Amazing, I can't believe the trust you have in your bike... Speechless! I remember going to lone pine when I race Badwater and on the way down with a car not even close to your speed. God speed :-)
This veideo is the most calming video I've watched in a while where someone was doing something crazy. You make this look so damn easy to keep the bike stabalized and running smoothly. I bet you had to change out the bearings after this ride?
The whole video was so wholesome, very relaxing combined with the beautiful nature loved it
I love you brother Safa. I went down hard in the CX State championships back in late October and just today got back on. Seen other comments suggest the same, but this video is wonderful, the sountrack, what I guess is an early morning sky, the desert, the bike gliding downhill, it is so calming. I watch it a lot before I go to sleep at night

Imagine being so confident in your bike condition so you can lay on the bend in front of the abyss. Amazing
I've had too many bike crashes to even approach what he's doing. Crash at that speed and you're either dead or messed up long term. This guy must have supreme confidence in his bike handling skills.
I saw a guy crash going about 30mph. He came out relatively ok but the site of him unconscious in the road makes the hair stand up to this day. I think that was also the last time I rode that fast.

That was a special one, in one of the magnificent places on this earth. The part that has me scratching my head is the filming, electric motorcycle? No sounds from the filming vehicle but we hear Brian. How you do that? Nice work! I climbed that hill in the morning hoping for 65mph and by the time I headed down, there was a headwind :(
He filmed it with a drone. Watch at the end. The guy gives him a fist bump. He has a drone controller in his left hand. It looks like a Dji controller.
