Should never be controlled by one person. This is so stupid and retard allowing only one person to make this decision to destroy the planet. You could be cooked alive, die from inhaling poisonous smoke and fumes, or suffocate when the fire consumes all available oxygen. Everything would be in flames.

    @dixonpinfold2582@dixonpinfold2582 Жыл бұрын
    • Incorrect. The firestorm theory was based on Hiroshima and Nagasaki where almost all the buildings were built from wood. Modern cities are predominantly brick and concrete. Firestorms will undoubtedly occur, it's just that the scale and size has been overplayed. Other factors like climate and weather at the time of the explosion also play a role.

    • @@veryimportantpooches2619 Nuclear weapons unquestionably would set fire to large areas. Modern cities contain all sorts of highly combustible material, especially certain swathes of them. The blast is the same temperature as the surface of the sun, only it's not 93,000,000 miles away, it's a cab ride down the street. And it's worth remembering the obvious: No building code demands a standard of fire safety sufficient for protection against a nuclear blast.

  • When I was growing up in the 1970's and 80's I asked my teacher about surviving a nuclear war. She told me that I lived within 100 miles of several hundred primary strategic targets and less than 10 miles from the Air Force's MAC hub (Travis AF Base). If there was going to be a nuclear war, there was no chance at all that I was going to survive the first strike. The good news was, at least it wouldn't hurt. My body would be totally vaporized even before it started to fall over. Funny enough, this was comforting.

  • I was six about to turn seven and my dad was in the army. We had just moved to Hawaii we were still bc in the hotel and everything. I don’t remember it too too much. But I remember looking out the window, clueless of what was about to happen.. or more so, what wasn’t. My brother was still sleeping despite how much my parents were trying to wake up. Seeing people out the window crawling in sewers and crying, chaos everywhere. I was scared. My mom was more scared though. Probably because she actually understood what was happening. It was very scary. Especially for a six year old . All I knew was that I should panic and that I might die soon. Scariest thing ever. Anyone who wasn’t there.. be glad.

  • It's sad that we actually have to think about this now. I know people keep saying nothing nuclear will happen, but its better to be safe than sorry, this is easily the closest we've been to nuclear warfare in a long time. Be safe everyone, and prepare for the worst.

Schools were doing air raid drills where students had to mass in safe areas and actually “taking cover” under their desks - these were normal public school days in the 50s… People were building air raid shelters - even it was just stocking up the basement! Somewhere along the line we got lackadaisical thinking it was not gonna happen or survival was actually undesirable - if even possible! • If you all start researching the (near) death experience, it may bring some comfort and peace. Lots of stories and channels out there. I prep to a degree because I have kids, but am a lot less anxious about my ultimate demise. It makes no sense to prep for survival and not look into becoming dead or how people's bodies react to a physical trauma experience. JeffMara, NDE Diaries, etc. are some good resources. There are some wackadoo interviews, but there are also some from people with very legitimate backgrounds.
