She uses the exact lines “the way you make me feel” Adele: “the way you make me feel, the way you make my black friends feel..” “you are the artists of our lives” Adele: “you ARE the artists of our lives and we adore you” - She failed to give a shout out to Michael Jackson as inspiration for the song she is literally winning a Grammy for - About Damn Time. Instead, she gives a shout out to his pop music rival Prince. What a slap in the face. About Damn Time = 2022 version of Rock With You. Look it up. It’s a shame newer artists are stealing/sampling and forgetting to give credit to older generation artists when it’s due.

I love Lizzo!!! This young lady has given so much positive energy and transparency of her self to the others. I so wish that as a plus size women that I would have seen someone shine in the spotlight as she does in my younger years. Lizzo has given not only her extraordinary gift of music to the world but she has build self esteem into women and young girls to love themselves and to embrace and accept the image that God has created them to be. Im so happy for Lizzo, her speech made me tear up so much. Her speech was so powerful. She was so shocked yet so grateful. I love her energy so much, that song motivated me to get up every morning and get on with life. She truly deserves this. Also I love how Adele grabbed Lizzo and hugged her when she won and when Adele won Lizzo grabbed Adele and hugged her when she won, I love that women supporting women.
Her personality won it, shes already been a winner in our hearts, this is just formality.
