As an Irish fan, this is nothing new to European fans. The trick is to sleep early and wake up when the prelims are wrapping up...that or hit the pub, hit the clubs and late bars, they usually stop serving around 2.30-3am, so that takes you home in time for the big fights. You need some sugary drinks to keep you awake though, something mixed with Red Bull for example

UFC always catered for US fans more, assuming that the US has the biggest fan base. It is what it is. The fight started at 7am for UFC Perth. I can assure you the Manchester/European fans won't feel disrespected, as true MMA fans they should feel joy for having an UFC event in their city.
Has nothing to with respect or non-respect issue. This is a DOLLAR issue: whatever PAID audiences consistently buy UFC products, the company is going to cater to it, regardless where the activities take place. If the Europeans want UFC fights to take place in their prime viewing time --- say, between 5PM to 10PM --- they NEED to start buying UFC events... especially when it happens there, or when a lot of European fighters are involved. If not, again, the UFC will cater to its most profitable/default markets: the US

If u think about this is more about the UK fans, especially the one attending it live and it will be a nightmare to stay that late for an event. As far as European fans, all the US cards are around that time +-2, 3 hours depending on the time zone, so it's nothing new.

@@cosmicbilly can’t speak for anyone else but I ain’t working on a Sunday any more. I did work Sundays a long time ago but that was when I was young and only needed a couple of hours sleep to function at work. UFC Manchester falls on our yearly get together when all the boys from back in the day meet up for the weekend, so none of us sleep between Friday morning and Sunday night anyway so ufc uk has fallen on the perfect weekend this year.

As an Australian I love the middle of the day time slot we get for fights. Usually the prelims start about 10 and the main card at 12 or 2. It’s a perfect Sunday arvo and you can still go out Saturday night if you want

The reason the Brazilian crowd left the last UFC event in Brazil was similar to this situation. It was very late in Brazil, around 3 AM, so everyone wanted to leave because it's unsafe to be out that late, even trying to get an Uber driver is risky in Rio de Janeiro. Unfortunately, not everyone seems to understand this
Late late main event is what happened to Ngannou getting slept. Someone always performs poorly when they fight after 3am
