  • One of the factors that I usually account into these things is probably people adapting to their environment, when you go to mountain and altitude becomes higher, there's less oxygen up there so your body adapts to it if you let it, slowly the next generation who lives there would also evolve themselves to adapt to the environment meaning its generations of evolution just to adapt to environment making you more fit to survive the area. Take into account Badjao people of Philippines, every generation of people has evolved to adapt to the sea environment, studies show they have thicker membrane in their eyes to see in the salty sea water clearer than any normal human and bigger spleens to hold breathes longer. This goes the same for mountain people in Dagestan, less oxygen and more pressure in the mountain areas makes one control their breathing subconsciously making you effective athletes, this is true in every country, most of the athletes and physically strong people I've met are from infamous mountain provinces.

    @sticky0159@sticky0159 Жыл бұрын
    • bruh its just traditions not about the mountains and iam from the mountains and if u wanna involve science. If you live in a good place on earth or country like for example sweden or canada where the quality of life is better and you have everything you need and your whole country tradition is to wrestle you would have smashed everyone in dagestan. Adapting to bad oxygen isnt gonna help you grow but living in a place of good oxygen will.

    • Yes it's tru.....Kenya, etophia produce good long distance runner with the same factor, they use to run in thin air, their lungs adapt to the situation....when they run in normal atmosphere, they hv advantage

      @juanisaac3964@juanisaac3964 Жыл бұрын
    • @@kuntakintedd5328 you’re right that it is not just about genetics, but you are wrong about high-altitude athletes. Athletes from high-altitudes perform amazing at low-altitude because there is so much more oxygen available to them, and their lungs are suited to a lower oxygen environment. When you take an athlete from a low-altitude and have them compete at high-altitude, their performance suffers. This is because theirs lungs are adapted to a high oxygen environment and there is less oxygen present at high-altitude. It’s possible for the high-altitude fighter to adapt to low-altitudes and lose that advantage, as well and for a low-altitude athlete go adapt to a low oxygen environment.

  • It's like football in many contries, where the boys kick the ball at any occasion, which leads to dominance or at least a high level in competition. Others are top in wintersports, like Austria or Canada. The guys from Iceland are paramount in strongman sports, and the Dagestani wrestle. The will not win a Marathon or become top three in syncrone swimming. But it's a well known fact, that certain environment also leads to a certain specialization...

  • Training at high altitudes for prolonged periods of time (like five years or more) increases your red blood cell count. Red blood cells carry oxygen, there's less oxygen high up, so your body produces as much as it can while you're in those high elevations, but then when you come back closer to sea level, your body still has all those red blood cells with more available oxygen. Increasing the efficiency and amount of red blood cells are what some PEDs are specifically designed to do. Their insane cardio makes perfect sense when you consider they train high in the mountains
