Welcome to "twenty twenty coffee" - our small coffee shop located on the west coast of Denmark.
Follow along as we open our coffee shop and the first customers are rolling in. We quickly get quite busy so there is a lot of pressure on the whole team - including me, the barista.
Hope you will find this video entertaining and/or you learn something new. Let us know in the comments if you would have any questions and we'll see you at the next one! :)

  • This is a good example of a clean, organized and therefore functioning work space. Really nice. There are plenty of POVs with dirty counters, uncoordinated and meaningless activity. This place is the exactly opposite of that. Everything is well put and focused. And the cleanliness requirements are met.

That was one of the motivations for us to start this youtube journey - to share how we do it. We spend a lot of time on improving our workspace, our workflow and overall the way how the shop operates. So it is really nice when somebody can recognize it and truly appreciates that!   • it’s a dream to have this kind of a team. didn’t put much pressure on each other, everyone knows their roles as a team. everything is so well organized, and it’s so calming to watch this as the customers are pretty chill too ❤

    • Thank you for your compliment! We are all about efficiency and timing. So for example in the video: when I was 1-2 minutes too early with coffees - compared to the food --> we consider that a mistake on my part! We really enjoy to be spot on as much as we can - so the customers' experience is as smooth as possible! :)))

  • A really nice looking "feel" to the cafe vibe; professional, polite, courteous, and great precision; fabulous looking coffee's.   • I could watch this all day. This is a professional at the top of his game. Few timing mistakes here and there but recovered efficiently and no customer was left unsatisfied! Great set up and smooth synergy with the runner!

You seem so kind and I love how even though the person at the food station apologized, you stepped in and said that you were at fault so they didn't feel bad for it going out separately.     • Thank you for such a kind comment! And yes, the food wasn’t ready - which seemed like her mistake - but the mistake was 100% mine. I haven’t checked the status and made the coffees too early.   • This was very relaxing to watch, and as someone who has worked in a coffee shop before as a server and cashier, I'm glad that you did not pour the milk to the brim on the cup, the shop I worked in, not all of the baristas but one of them likes to pour it to the very top which makes it so difficult for me to serve to the customers because I didn't want to ruin the latte art so I had to carry the cup super slowly because one small movement makes spills the drink, its really filled like you can see the layer of foam floating on the cup, overall I'm just glad the customers all had a good laugh whenever they see me moving as slow as possible in order to not spill their drink haha

    • hahaha yeah - we feel the struggle! :D The drinks that don't have foam are impossible to carry full - therefore coffee shops should have appropriately sized cups. When it comes to drinks with foamed milks - if the milk is steamed correctly - it is very difficult to spill! If you look at @LanceHedrick's videos - he does a crazy shake test to see if the milk is done well - if so - it doesn't spill = is easy to carry :))

    • Thank you for your very kind comment! We are very grateful for the vibe in our place - it really makes a huge difference when you can tell that the customers appreciate what we do. And yes, when the customers and staff are rushed and under pressure - there is often no time for any basic friendly interaction. So we always try to overstaff a bit - so there is very little of this "stress" present in our place. :))

  • My advice is to keep the orders somewhere even after you finish it because you never know when a customer it”s coming to say that he didan”t order something like that or if something was not right about order.

    • Hi, good point, but luckily our system is quite bulletproof so in 4 years of our coffee shop - we rarely have this issue. But you can see us sometimes keeping the receipt longer - especially when the order has a lot of things :))

We are actually quite progressive when it comes to a modern workflow with using tools that help consistency, quality and speed - therefore you can see all these machines in our shop. That is however not the standard (yet)... so there are many coffee shops that choose to do it differently. :)) But geeking over machines/tools/toys can be a big part of this hobby - so next time you visit a new coffee shop - we encourage you to explore their setup and see how they do certain tasks differently. We enjoy that very very much! :))
