If taking out the original 1025HP engine and replace it with 1700HP engine why use a new Rare Demon 170. Just use a 2020 Challenger? By the time you pay for a new 170 you could buy a used Challenger and do all the mods to engine and suspension for less cost.... But whatever... Still a great car

I was thinking take a 6 cylinder car. Throw away the drivetrain and put 1700 hp in it. Do it for half the cost of a Demon 170.
Was exactly thinking the same or why not put in the new straight six engine that and boost that on a base car shell I don’t think that engine is out yet but I would think they would be able to get early production engine from the manufacturer. Edit the engine is in the Wagonneer.

If you're pulling the drivetrain and all that why not just do it to a regular charger or Challenger and leave the demon 170 alone? What's the point of doing that to a limited edition collector car that looks just like all the other ones except for the VIN number and the specifics that make it a collector?
Same thing I was thinking. Completely ruining the car by removing and replacing the power plant. I bet you it'll still be an 8 second car 🤣 because even on the track a stock 170 has issues hitting 8s. Add another 700hp and watch its 60ft get even worse.

Just listening to that engine hum is music to my ears. I have a 2021 Challenger Widebody R/T Scat Pack 392 T/A with the 6-speed manual and I just love hearing that engine roll through the gears.
I'm with you man! I loved my scat challenger 6 speed but kept being told don't drive a mustang 6 speed gt you will sell your challenger! I laughed it off everytime but damn it they were right. Still miss that car but the mustang gave me the corner carving I was looking for!

Stupid idea to make 1700 hp the car is designed for 1100 if that so 600 extra hp on the same chassis hopefully these people at Hennessey stiffened the chassis for the extra hp and torque

It's a collector car limited edition. They are saying he could do the same thing to a regular model. This model you would keep original all matching numbers.
That's the problem, it didn't throw up any numbers presented by dodge. It's not a bug or exotic Italian car.

I had the Hennessey HP1000 on my 2022 Jailbreak. When I received a Demon allocation I put it up for sale and it fetched $175K quickly with lots of interested parties. Hennessey is the real deal. . .curious to know the price tag for this upgrade.

The car is great, but it's not a Demon anymore. It is a challenger with a hyped-up engine. Modify the existing platform.
Exactly they should do this to the lesser v8s maybe even v6 donor cars since they are replacing absolutely everything anyway. It's not a demon 1700 it's a ruined piece of history

Somebody with some TASTE in cars saving the historic drivetrain for a piece of automotive history. I've seen so many people mod limited edition cars engines over the years only to blow them 😔. Original 426 HEMIS, DZ302s, etc...just pull it out, slather it in grease, wrap it in plastic, and build/buy an aftermarket drivetrain to power something that special! True car guys right here!

@@yttrium5677 maybe you should listen to the video . The original engine transmission and driveshaft are shrink, wrapped for storage in order to restore the car back to stock if you want to . The new engine, Has no supercharger but is twin turbo charged …
Got to give you credit. It is a smart thing to keep and protect the original factory drive train. People interested in doing a hemmesey 1700 got to have deep enough pockets for that. I would like to see someone do one with a real elephant Hemi!!! For a non-street driven strictly track car it could be done. You cauld start with a much cheaper model Challenger. Super Charged and Nitro burning it would be a beast.

The 6.4 won't hold more then 10 pounds stock. I'm sure that by sleeving it won't be much of a difference maybe 20 lbs the most before it's shits itself. Now if they work the 5.7 or bring back the 6.1 an have henny build that. Would hold lots.more bost
