Duke of Kent Hands Over MAJOR Role to Prince Edward

2024 ж. 13 Сәу.
244 997 Рет қаралды

This was the incredible farewell the Duke of Kent received as he made his final visit as Colonel of the Scots Guards today.
Edward, Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin, held the title for a remarkable 50 years, making him the longest-serving person in the role.
He officially stepped down after attending his final Scots Guards Black Sunday parade in Westminster.
The 88-year-old will be replaced as the head of the regiment by the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Duke of Kent said he was “delighted” that Prince Edward will continue to “champion all that you do and work towards preserving your great legacy”.

Now a frail old man, with mobility issues, he deserves all our respect for his Service. QE2 had a lot of time for him and could always rely on him. I wish him well. Harry would do well to take a leaf out of his book.

Not many can say that. What loyal subject and cousin he is. I hope the people of the UK realize what a true treasure he has been for his country. The world needs more like him. I believe Prince Edward is the right man to fill his shoes. Two men who are so steadfast in their loyalty to the people they represent and serve. Also ,these two men quietly go about their duties, not searching for self agrandizement but just doing their best .
