@@user-ng9gd4vl9s I’m not sure to whom this is asked? I will answer it though 🙂 I’ve been listening to the Hu for a couple of years now. There is a great video of them in what seems to be “the performance position” in the embassy playing one of their songs and the room is full of what looks like just people off the street. SO LUCKY! Their videos are like mini-movies. So I did a google search, wrote down some names to listen to. I wanted a good mix of the types because they all truly sound different. It's been rockin for a long time. You used to pretty much just have Altan Urag and Tengger Cavalry, but back then Tengger Cavalry's recording quality was soooo bad. There were some other bands, but they also had really bad sound quality. A band like this wouldn't have been noticed by labels back then and would be doing home recording like all those other guys. I was really surprised several years ago to hear the Hu on my local radio station. I know it's a lol a big commercial racket at this point, but it's good to know that people are now getting to hear and appreciate the kind of stuff I used to listen to back in the day.

It’s not just the language, you, silly. It’s the ancient art of Mongolian throat singing applied to the music style that was BEGGING for it for decades. I am so happy to see it finally happening. Was waiting forever!
you said it all right here! finally!!
Throat singing was a complete wake up call for me! I've been on a hunt for it for about a year now. All of the differences are just incredible. My favorite right now is a badas$ woman from a tiny island off the coast of Scotland I believe. Her name is Eivør
It is cool but this is pretty wretched lip syncing.
So you were into Mongolian throat singing before it was cool?
@@user-ng9gd4vl9s I’m not sure to whom this is asked? I will answer it though 🙂 I’ve been listening to the Hu for a couple of years now. There is a great video of them in what seems to be “the performance position” in the embassy playing one of their songs and the room is full of what looks like just people off the street. SO LUCKY! Their videos are like mini-movies. So I did a google search, wrote down some names to listen to. I wanted a good mix of the types because they all truly sound different. The lady I mentioned in a different post here I did not know about until a few years ago. I recommend reading the translation first and the watch the live performance with the danish orchestra the lighting is part of the performance!

@johnvaldez8830: I can just picture Ghenghis himself rising from his tomb (wherever it is) to rock to this.
Me too. I enjoy the indigenous groups that are coming out.
