Every time I think of Oregon the first thing that comes to my mind: Gravity Falls. But it's not just because it's my favorite show, it's because Oregon has that suspenseful, mystery feel that I love. Woods, trails, waterfalls, rivers, beaches, everything. I think that's why I want to meet so much.
Oregon has been my home for my entire 28 years here. I’ve been to all these places and explored all the corners of the state. I have thought about leaving many times but can’t because the trees, mountains, and waterfalls keep me here. If you’re an outdoor person, you’ll love Oregon. And Washington. The Pacific Northwest is gorgeous.
I am planning to take my wife and kids there this summer for vacation. We love to see water falls, jungles, wilderness, coastlines and things like that. Can you tell me the best time to get there? we love warmer weather but not too hot. Appreciate your help.
@@homayoonwafaie6524 how long are you planning to stay? Depending on where you’re from and how hot. I would say late spring like may or beginning of June. It’s about 60-75°. Not as many spring showers. Getting into July and august, we have some 100° days. But usually only those couple of months. Spring and fall are perfect weather here for hiking and exploring. Fall is to die for here. The coastline is beautiful but there isn’t really a great time for the coast. Just go when you’re here lol beautiful sites, but can be windy and gloomy a lot. Which I’ve come to love. I love the foggy, gloomy, rainy days so I love the coast lol. But the Oregon coast isn’t for people who like to lay on the beach like Florida or california.
@@homayoonwafaie6524 the weather definitely changes constantly but typically between June- August are the hottest months ranging around anywhere from 60°-100° but the spring months are probably the best timing with less freezing temperatures even though it can still be chilly some days
Do you like it more than Vancouver, BC?
That's how I feel about my North Carolina
Lived here almost my whole life. Outside of Portland, this place is gorgeous.
On your next trip you need to go to Silver falls state park, it’s 10 waterfalls in roughly a seven mile loop.
Wow, that looks amazing!
Lol
Fire 🔥🔥 🔥
Agree, beautiful falls and hiking
You can hike behind 3 of the falls on this loop so it's definitely one of the most beautiful places in the U.S.
Oregon is so underrated, beautiful coastlines and scenery.
I couldn't agree more! Where is your favorite spot in oregon?

Oregon as a land state is beautiful, but the cities are chaos, bad traffic, narrow roads, they cut car lanes to build parking and bike lines on the street? Insane. Trust me. Visit it, but don't live here. I plan on moving from here to.
@@thetruthyes the smaller towns like Tigard and Lincoln City are much more easier to navigate

Some other fun stops in Oregon: - Smith Rick - Painted Hills - Sisters (the town) - Abiqua Falls
I gotta go back and check them out!
Tell me from central Oregon without telling me you’re central Oregon 😂. I grew up on the coast but have called Sunriver Or home for 12 yrs. and I can’t agree more with this guy ❤️
@@RyanShirley nah don't trust him sisters gay as hell
"Century drive", a loop that takes you to several beautiful spots in the Cascades west of Bend. Smith Rock State Park & the Crooked River Canyon The head waters of the Metolius river. Wallowa lake St park.
Bro sisters?😂 i mean i think that sisters, bend, and portland are the top three worst places in oregon. Explore outside those places great, but the towns themselves are just stuck up rich people and its not truly oregon. You will know when you have found a good spot, because everyone you pass on the road will wave at you. And if you ask them to tell you about some spots they will probably tell you, but you have to make a deal with them to keep it off social media. Oregons most beautiful places are hidden from most
Oregon is one of the most geographically diverse states in the U.S., marked by volcanoes, abundant bodies of water, dense evergreen and mixed forests, as well as high deserts and semi-arid shrublands. At 11,249 feet (3,429 m), Mount Hood, a stratovolcano, is the state's highest point. Oregon's only national park, Crater Lake National Park, comprises the caldera surrounding Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States. The state is also home to the single largest organism in the world, Armillaria ostoyae, a fungus that runs beneath 2,200 acres (8.9 km2) of the Malheur National Forest.
The great thing about Oregon beaches is on any given day you could have the whole beach to yourself.
So true! I loved having it all to yourself
@Human Being not all the time in the summer the beach can be so warm
@Human Being well that was you and your experience with Oregon
Oregon has countless famous waterfalls, but I love Silver Falls State Park in particular. There a hiking trail where over the course of a few hours you can hike to see 10 waterfalls. It's hardly advertised on KZhead Oregon vids, so it is definitely a hidden gem. Oregon truly is one of the most beautiful states in America, I absolutely agree.
Silver falls definitely isn’t a hidden gem and is advertised plenty. It’s always packed on the weekends
Moved to oregon 6 years ago.. Best place on earth without a doubt.

I live in Oregon, and for anyone who is looking for another place to visit, I’d recommend Green Peter & Foster Lake!!! These lakes are so beautiful, and the water temperatures are 70s-80s. In March 2020 my oldest son and I went on a 3 night road trip from Seattle...We drove out to the Dalles, past Mt Hood, the Three Sisters, through Bend, to Crater Lake, down to Redwood National Park...then entirely up the Oregon Coast looking for all the lighthouses. It was a spectacular trip.
Love Coos Bay, great town, great beaches so much fun.
Moved to Southern Oregon two years ago, we’ve been loving discovering all the new natural beauty.

Native Oregonian, the movie Stand By Me was filmed in the town founded by my family (Brownsville, maiden name is Brown), that, too is a great place to go. There is a museum with a converted traincar that is a small movie theater that shows silent movies. They have entire storefronts from the 19th century inside the museum. There are memorable spots throughout the town from the movie Stand By Me, such as the spot where the coin was picked up in the street, pioneer park where the pie eating contest was, etc. Very fun, historical, and interesting place.
I'm from Oregon and my top 10 places that I recommend to visit for when y'all go there are: 1. Multnomah Falls 2. Mt. Hood 3. Oneonta Falls 4. Cape Kiwanda Beach 5. Smith Rock State Park 6. Neahkanie Mountain 7. Latourell Falls 8. Woodburn Tulip Farm 9. Trillum Lake 10. Pips Doughnuts :)
Amazing list!
Def legit list when I saw you had oneonta falls as one of your top places!!!!
be in good shape or bring a kayak if you're going to Oneonta, it's worth the work to get to.
How many days will this take to do all 10?
Man I still need to get to Oneonta Falls. Unfortunately I moved here post Eagle Creek fire, so the trail has never been open when I went. This summer its for sure happening.
Oregon is so beautiful!!!! It feels like I am in the lap of nature!!!

yikes portland sucks now sadly
I live in Portland too - and have issue with the way things are going to say the least. But Oregon overall is a great as ever! Portland has problems, but the rest of Oregon is as good or better than the 90's and probably well before. It's stunning. Great infrastructure, big state, small population, welcoming people. It's heaven. The whole state is an adventure. I can't believe I get to live here.
We moved from Texas to Oregon back in September of 2022.... so about 4 months ago. We absolutely love it here.
I am born and raised in Oregon. My favorite place might be cresent lake. Beautiful blue water, awesome scenery and tons of outdoor activities no matter the season
Great video. Native Oregonian here. Cannon Beach has always been my favorite Oregon destination. But think its cool the way you showed how beautiful my state is to the world.
So many awesome places in Oregon, I love living here. Some of our favorites include: The 10 places covered in this vid, Gold Beach and a jet boat ride up the Rogue river, Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, Yachats, Cape Perpetua, Ona beach, Ecola State Park and the view of Tillamook Rock Lighthouse, Manzanita, Drift Creek Wilderness, Alsea Falls, Elliott State Forest, Marys Peak with a view at the top of the ocean/coast range/valley/cascade mountains, Silver Falls State Park, Oregon wine country/McMinville, Finley NWR, Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, Iron Mountain during wildflower season, Klamath Falls, Ashland, John Day Fossil Beds, the Painted Hills, Malheur NWR during spring bird migration, Steens Mountain, Wallowa Mountains... and the list goes on.
Why you giving away all our secrets. 😉
You are right and I wish I can relocate down back there
Fantastic job of highlighting some of Oregon's great spots to visit. Thank you!
Love how Oregon has its own Mt. Fuji
Pretty cool right :)
As an Oregonian, thank you for this. I love my home state because of how beautiful it is. And that you can go to the woods, mountain, desert and beach all with an hour to an hour and a half from Portland. It always amazes me to think that Oregon is pretty much 2/3 desert, but it is also beautiful there too. Wish you would have featured things from the East side of Oregon too. Still, a great video. 😊
I live in the Central Oregon High Desert. I love it here. There is so much to do. Unfortunately it's extremely expensive to live here.
@@jt1364 Is it worth visiting? Im looking for some random fun places to see in Oregon or Washington
I and my husband did a roadtrip to Oregon last summer and only visited 2 out of 10 places. Vista House is another great place to enjoy the spectacular view of Columbia River Gorge. Definitely want to go back to visit the other places.
Wallowa in northeast Oregon is my FAVORITE place in the world! On the backside of the lake (it dead ends) are cabins, river, horse rentals, lots of hiking, or horse riding into the blue mountains and several lakes. There is a beautiful camp ground on the lake and and a huge lodge. Before the lake is the small town of Joseph, and Enterprise. It's MAGICAL!!!
I spent over half my childhood in Oregon, and I didn't realize how beautiful and grand it was until we moved away, I will definitely be back some day.
I live in southern Washington and was born in Portland Oregon. There’s no place I love more than the Pacific Northwest. Every time I leave and come back it’s so bittersweet. Thanks for making this video. Oregon needs to be seen!
Repent to Jesus Christ “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.” John 13:14 NIV
Come see the dump that you used to call home.. needles, bum camps, and human sh!t on the sidewalk.. shootings every day, and cops jerking off on the clock.. also every day. It's a great place to die as a tax slave. Can't really say you'll have much of a life.. just a joyless existence in a for profit tax farm. Judge Kantor, you're a fraud! Badged racketeers Westerlund and Thorsen, may you all get run over during a routine traffic stop. Amen.
I recently moved to northern Washington and am hoping to explore southern Washington with some people from Portland. Do you have any recommendations of places not more than 3/4 hours from Seattle?
@@tabithaaa6176 Nope. Don't go to Washington. What's there? Another tax farm? Hard pass. Not worth my wheel time. Watch some Nick Zentner and call it good. Just watch some Nick.. he's a geologist and.. shows some pretty cool spots. De-winged tax slave.. just waiting on my collar and shackles.
I was born in Seattle but live in Central Oregon. The PNW is where it's at.
Damn. You didn't even make it to Eastern Oregon. Painted hills, hell's canyon, pendleton roundup, eagle caps.
Oregon has long been on my bucket list. Can't wait to go there and see the sites. Great video!
Since the first time I stepped out of my car in Oregon , I started to love it and I have to say that I left my hearth there because I have to leave the country for strong reasons after 13 years living there. I miss Oregon and one day I will be back to do a long road trip. This video was just the west Oregon pretty much but the east side it is just as magical and wonderful as the west side. Thanks for the video.
I've been watching this video for days gone by. oregon is magnificent
Five years ago I moved from the deep south to the Oregon coast. Your video is beautiful amd inspiring and only touches on a small fraction of the amazing places to explore here. Every roadside pullout has hidden views, little trails, snowy mountains, old growth forest, expansive river and ocean views, towering waterfalls, deep blue lakes..they are literally everywhere! I am convinced this is the most beautiful state in all of the lower 48 US states. I love it here. Good to point out though, that some places are not accessible in the winter months, and beware of the ocean. It is as treacherous as it is dramatically beautiful. ❤
Thanks Gail for your kind words! Everything you said is true! I could probably make a top 100 video if I had enough time to visit all the wonderful spots of the state!
So glad to have been born and raised in beautiful southern Oregon, thank you for making this video 👍🏻
Thank you for visiting! I've lived here for more of my almost 44 years. Nothing like the beauty of oregon and believe me i've tried to live other places but there's nothing like home
Very beautiful places! Thanks for putting this list together, I will definitely have to plan a road trip once my son gets a little older so that he can enjoy it as much as I will.
Such a great channel. I really enjoy your vids. You manage to pack a lot in a relatively short video with your concise style that gives us some history, hiking info, and recommendations, all wrapped up in top notch video footage. Thanks.
Dynamic wave action, numerous off shore rocks and islands, natural arches and bold headlands make the Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor one of the most beautiful and photogenic coastal area's in the world!
I visited Oregon last spring, and was really amazed by it! Wow, after this video I am even more amazed. Great work! It is also cool that Northern California at the Oregon border kinda looks the same. Our plane is still so beautiful! Breathtaking! Good job, again. Let people know!😃
I'm a native Oregonian now living in NY. You've done a great job of showing so much of the beauty of the state! When you go back don't miss the Painted Hills, part of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. It's about two hours north of Bend. Listed as one of the Seven Wonders of Oregon. Happy travels!

Why did you leave Oregon for NY??
The minute you said "I love rocks and apparently anything shaped like a wizards hat" made me really laugh and clicked subscribe. Lol. Thank you for this! I plan to visit Oregon in April for my birthday and this was exactly what I wanted to know about. Thank you!!!
Crater Lake is breathtaking. The Oregon Coast is beautiful. I went hunting light houses with my son.
Thanks...brings back great memories of my time living in Oregon. We honeymooned on the coast.
Lots of people enjoy the Oregon coast in spring and summer. Me, I don't like crowds, so I visit the beach in winter. To see the angry Pacific in a violent storm is something you will never forget. And (If you're prepared for it.) Winter camping in the Wallowa Mtns. is more than just cool, its damn cold! Last time I was there it was minus 37 degrees in Joseph. Oregon is so beautiful you can live here for years and not see half of what there is. Thanks for part one, there's plenty more.
Great tips! :)

Didn't realize Oregon has so many amazing places to explore and see. The coast is indeed beautiful. And then there's the Tillamook cheese and ice cream factory.🥰
I live here, and he only covered the coast and points on the west side. There's a ton of cool stuff in central and eastern oregon to see and explore.
I'm late to comment here, but idk. I'm so glad to see someone truly see the beautiful state that I love with all my heart. I've lived there all my life and honestly can't see myself living anywhere else. One place I can recommend for Oregon is Silver Falls, it holds 12 different falls, redwoods trails, and the main one is about 3-4 miles long.
I love the countryside in OR and WA. It’s wonderful to think of the settlers that farmed and loved the land. We had 40 acres on Peoria Rd. , by Corvallis. Chicken farm. Loved in North Bend for most of childhood.
Check out Silver Falls State Park outside of Salem. Not only is it green and beautiful, it’s so cool to be able to walk behind a waterfall. Also if you like rocks, drive down past Mt. Hood for an hour or so until you get to Smith Rock. It’s so beautiful.
Stay blessed how's your day today, it's fun meeting new people all over the world 🌏😊 Where are you connecting from?
A great video tour of Oregon! Seeing people cliff dive into the Blue Pool was impressive, but people have died doing so. The water is so cold that it can cause muscles to seize up and a risk of drowning. That being said, the trail is fantastic and there is a rough path down to a rock platform for jumping in at the surface. It is considered a rite of passage and very entertaining to watch people react to the ice cold water!
I live in Florence and it's pretty cool to see the lighthouse and sea lion caves get some recognition
is this lighthouse a far drive from Portland?
Crator Lake near Klamath Falls! So beautiful & serene. If you've been experiencing alot of stress, it just falls off of you looking at the gorgeous lake and pine trees. So still & quiet, you feel like you've had a spiritual experience. Everyone should visit it there at least once!

The state's coastal region produces significant tourism as well. The Oregon Coast Aquarium comprises 23 acres (9.3 ha) along Yaquina Bay in Newport, and was also home to Keiko the orca whale. It has been noted as one of the top ten aquariums in North America. Fort Clatsop in Warrenton features a replica of Lewis and Clark's encampment at the mouth of the Columbia River in 1805. The Sea Lion Caves in Florence are the largest system of sea caverns in the United States, and also attract many visitors. In Southern Oregon, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, held in Ashland, is also a tourist draw, as is the Oregon Vortex and the Wolf Creek Inn State Heritage Site, a historic inn where Jack London wrote his 1913 novel Valley of the Moon.
