A Palestinian doctor named Hani Bseiso was forced to amputate the leg of his 16-year-old daughter Ahed on the family's kitchen table - without anaesthesia, due to Israel's blockade - after she was severely injured by an Israeli air strike on their home in Palestine's Gaza.

I was an OR tech for years and amputations are always hard for everyone in the room because it's a horrific sight and a completely unnatural act on another human. I can't imagine doing it on the kitchen table with no anesthesia or way to monitor vitals, let alone it being your own child. I know war isn't fair, but hospitals and civilians homes should be off-limits.

My heart bleeds for you all. I'm so very sorry. With gentle thoughts. Your daughter is resilient. Its 2024 and this is genocide. I had Amputation at the hip and cannot imagine this horror. Regardless I'm a Warrior with 70 surgeries, 23 broken bones, 6 months in traction in the Burn Unit. I was 12 and dragged on a 70 mph highway. I couldn't see my parents on surgery days nor the day after. I was still safe, cared for and fed. I didn't cry. I cry for The Palestinians. Doctor, I'm sorry. I'm ashamed of my government. Your daughter is so brave. I would adopt her and help her with everything including getting a prosthesis and medication. I know its not possible. This is not about me. I you wonder why some Palestinians turn into terrorists and take hostages watch the Al Jazeera documentary Gaza:60-minute warning and then you see what Israel was doing to Palestinians even before oct 7th and what ultimately ended up causing it.

Wouldn't be surprising at all if Hamas had plenty of anaesthetic in their tunnels under the civilians who elected them (and the majority of who support Oct 7th according to large polls) either. Idk if I can call this a fun fact, but the reason for that is all the pain nerves being located at the surface of the skin (kinda pointless to start feeling the pain when whatever object is already inside). However the Arabs wanted more land because they thought they deserved more and the Zionists wouldn’t allow that because that was their homeland. Overtime the hatred for Jews grew in the Palestinian Territories and a group called Hamas took control over the Gaza Strip in 2006 and swore to destroy the Jews and take back “their land”. Then October 7th came around and it started a war between Hamas and the Jews. It’s very sad, but very true! Stand With Israel!!! 🇮🇱
