I bought this kit from Mckillans for my home pressure washer. I liked it so much. I now have it at all three of my Auto Repair shops and I got it for my dad for his birthday too! I had to share with you all. As always, I appreciate you all for watching!
Check out Jamie's Store!: ourwearhouse.com/collections/...
This is an ad
It's actually not. I bought this same kit for my house, I liked it so much, I also got them for my shops and I even got one for my Dad for his Birthday. McKillans is not paying me for this video at all.
Hell get me one, let’s pay it for it.
If it's an ad, the advertiser must explain that in the ad. It wasn't mentioned. Which means it's not an add. There's also no affiliate link.
To add to what JonnyWilson said, it's actually a legal requirement to state whether an ad is actually an ad, not a platform specific thing, hence KZhead adding their text 'warning' to videos when you tick the box on the video upload stating it contains a paid promo/sponsorship/product placement, or titles having #AD in the title, or them saying "This video was sponsored by X/Y/Z" Edit: I should maybe clarify that the legal requirement applies to at least the USA and UK, I would assume the European Union follows suit but googling it just brings up ad-blocking related results lol
just becuse the manufacturer doesnt pay for it, it's still an ad. oh and home depot has quick connects too, other home improvement and hardware stores are also available.
In Europe every gardenhose just has a Gardena quick connector on it. You can make your own lengths without any problems and there’s no threading necessary
Same with Australia and New Zealand too 🤘🏻
And those quick connectors cost less than a buck each. I think the screw on male connectors are like 30 cents. Stainless looks good but cheap it ain't...!
And they have a great HDMI adapter as well! Makes long lengths of cable outside a breeze. 😂
No one cares about Europe
We had Gardena hose products in the USA back in the 1980s. In store Distribution displays stopped around the early 2000s. You can still order Gardena online but the prices are twice the cost for the USA brands.
You don't use telfon tape on a garden hose hookup. They use a rubber gasket on the female end.
Some people am I right
Why would you need to understand how something works when you use that something every day
80% of the people watching have used garden hose and still got fooled. What a sad reality
Dawg, this man owns a shop specializing in high end automobiles. He knows. That was just a shit post element of the video to get some luls and trigger the dorks like you that have to swoop in and show how smart they are.
Came here to find this comment 👍
Bro, did you just say that you “have to keep replacing the teflon tape” on the HOSE?!?! Shut that cabinet and step away, you need some more dad time so he can show you that THERE ISN’T SUPPOSED TO BE TEFLON TAPE!
It looks like you’re missing the O-ring in that garden hose fitting on the pressure washer because those should seal without Teflon tape
Exactly what I was thinking, teflon tape is pointless on a garden hose coupling. Also you can easily go to the store and get a pack of 20 or something gaskets for a garden hose for a few bucks.
He was lying to sell some stuff.
Correct hoses are compression
I know I’m getting old (well growing up) when I see things like this and I get excited for when I get to get them for my own home 😂
Yeah, I feel the same way. I ordered the kit off Amazon like 3minutes ago.
Lol same bro, I'm always thinking "can't wait til I can have this for my own home someday"
They are nice, but keep them free of dirt, sand, or other debris, or you’ll be cursing them too.
When them hose get outta line get them in check 😂😂😂😂 I don’t think a lotta people got that
I was looking for this comment. 👍👍
over their heads, LOL
We call it getting the assholes out of it…
You can get those fittings on McMaster. Eventually they won't seat right or the interior o-ring will wear out.
O rings are cheap and super easy to replace
The o ring on a threaded end will wear out as well
We use quick connect fittings on absolutely everything in Australia. They come with every hose system, usually heavy duty plastic, and they last years. I've upgraded mine to brass, but you replace the plastic ones for less than $5 at any supermarket.
@@misssummersalt we're a bit backwards in the US, mate
@@alexkybalquick connects for garden hoses have been available in the US for a long time.
Yeah, I’ve used quick connector in the past. After about a year of use, dirt and wear, they start to get jammed where you can’t get them apart or together easily.
Yep, happens but a shot of WD-40 seems to work every time it happens to me.
It looks like you’re missing the O-ring in that garden hose fitting on the pressure washer
Sooooooo..... you're not supposed to put Teflon tape on a hose, they have a rubber gasket, you can order a 100 pack of gaskets for 20 bucks
I think you mean 1k washers for 20 bucks. You can get 200 standard gaskets for about 3 or 4 bucks. You can walk into any hardware store and pick a 10 pack up for 1 to 2 dollars
@@T6Tarek I bought a 100 pack of silicone ones for $9 off ebay, but also, you're gonna argue about rubber washers 🤣 can't let that one go thats too damn much for hose o rings
As a car wash employee, those quick connects are nice, but are definitely not going to bypass you needing to service them every so often. If anything, we end up having to cut and reseat these quick connect fittings much more often than we have to reapply teflon to the threaded fittings.
It was less the fitting for me, more the o-ring inside. Constantly lost those or they fell out. Loved turning on the pressure and getting sprayed to find that out lol.
That garden nozzle is solid. Love mine.
“it’s got a bent tip which is really important, right ladies? to get into those tight spots” nice 😂
Teflon tape? GHT connections don't need tape. They're a ringed fitting
Not to mention if they're a business they're just now getting quick connects? I wash at home and that was the first upgrade I did.
Been using this type of quick connect since the 80’s. Just-never buy plastic. I use brass but all in all these seem really nice in stainless steel.
Do you have the specs/brand name for the cabinet? Was it a custom build?
They sell those quick connect adaptors at harbor freight, garden section
Bent tip makes your wrist work harder to prevent the gun from lifting due to the pressure at the tip
But like he said “ladies know it’s needed for tight spots”
Nice idea; however, my only suggestion would be to reverse the fittings on the low pressure garden hose/accessories so they can't be connected to the higher pressure side (ie. reverse the male/female connections). Pressure based failures can be quite nasty (eg. flying shrapnel; hoses whipping; injection injuries etc.)
Quick connect garden hose adapters often in clearance at Lowe’s. $1/male adapter $3/female adapter. Project source brand is cheapest. They last for years. Name brand is like $50. Isn’t any different.
Sure is a quality difference! Especially over over a number of years in a 4 season state
@@BleedingWhiteKnuckles use a brass then
Great choice! Qds are fantastic!
You can get brass quick contact Lowe’s, Home Depot, ace hardware nothing special required.
went from replacing teflon tape to replacing o-rings 👍🏽
You think i wouldn't notice 😂 you know what you did.
I can tell you from 20yrs with my ex. No, no lady likes the bent ones doesn't matter where the bend is. That thick straight sprayer reaches all the spots that bent one never found. 😮😁
Dude just discovered pressure washing attachments 😂
Bought some quick connected a while back for our pressure washer and sprayer like this video. We love it, absolute game changer!
We use the same type of connectors for the tubing for the coke syrup tank at McDonald's
In the late 1850th the company Gardena came up with the quick connector, many many years later america have done the same thing 😂
Do you generally have to put tape onto all the connections? Thanks bud
If your hose get out of line it helps straighten em out
I've used quick connects since i was bout 13. When I found out about them. Don't buy cheap ones. They all get worn but the cheaper ones wear faster. Vibrations can mess them up and make them hard to hook and unhook. Same way even with air hose quick connects of impacts.
Nice! What’s pressure washer is that?
is that a custom pressure washer set up or can you buy all that off the shelf and put it together?
is that quick connect from the guy washing bmw telling he and his brother dream car? last time i see he designing wash gun
"If your hose get out of line, help them get back in line" classic 😂
Bent tips for hard to get areas lol😂ladies got that
Can you drop the link in thr description for that quick disconnect?
Mate, that's class! What a life saver
Harbor freight sells those adapters for like $7 they are life changing
What kind of hose and reel is that?
Does those couplers work on a regular garden hose
Love a good foam cannon. Especially washing my jeep since it’s raptor lined. It does a good job on my boat too
Mckillans is such a good company
It's that a custom pressure washer cabinet?
Why not just have 2 hoses ? One stays connected to the pressure washer and never needs to be undone and the other is for the regular sprayer , dont need to waist any time swapping anything out , its simple , easy and more time efficient making you more money by allowing you more time to do more jobs
How much gpm can go through those quick connects. Sounds nice for my 4gpm pressure washer
Good till the o-ring goes. Like anything you need replacements and maintenance.
Get the adapters that has auto stops.that way there you don't have to worry about shutting water off to switch
This is why i love automotive & engineering from developed countries. Not just like my country's.
As mentioned a hose bibb is not the place for teflon tape. That is used with a pipe thread.
Better still why not just leave the hose connected and make additional room in the cabinet for your hose everyday?
Don't try this on a gas pressure washer. My machine shook my brass quick connect to pieces. If you want to use a quick connect with a gas pressure washer, I advise making a short leader hose.
After one season, instead of replacing the teflon tape, you'll need to replace the whole coupling due to that rubber seal.
wont a quick conect work as a swivel anyways?
Obsessed Garage started this trend. Give credit
The bent tip part😂
Why not have a dedicated water line for the pressure washer?
Who uses tephlon tape on the hose connections? How about using the gasket that comes with it?
Ive been pressure washing with a similar connector for over 7 years
So aside from getting gunked up and jammed over time they also reduce the size of the outlet wich changes the amount of water that can come out just like the stupid shrinking hoses
Straighten dem hose out, head on a swivel
😅
Bro I need that swivel for the gun I hate how it always wants to get looped up I don’t get why they designed it like that
Where dis you get the cabinet from?
Just catching on aye buddy thanks.
cool set up!
Mounted pressure washer!!!! Genius! What's the info on that please?
Look at comet or AR blue along with landa, shark, Karcher, they all make wall mount units. You're going to pay for them. They're professional units not some big box consumer products. There is a few consumer model wall mount units out there and they are total trash
Been there done that but for like $14 bucks from amazon.
What Teflon tape? If you are Teflon taping the threads of a water hose, you are causing the leak. Just replace the washer inside.
What’s the link !!?? 🗣️
Why not just make a hole in the cabinet for the hose so it can be on all the time?
Close enough to obsessed garage to do a collab.
I'm down!
I did that to mine years ago so nice
These always end up leaking
Nice bit of kit, Mate. Still pondering the reference to the Ladies. 🤔
realistically just buy the quick connect and swivel kit, everything else you can buy better options
The quick connects are a breeze to attach hoses. But you're losing water volume because the quick connect is smaller than the diameter of the hose. Too many quick connects and you don't have any water pressure. I have to hook anywhere from 50 ft to 300 ft for sprinklers on my property. I could tell the difference as the water was coming out of the sprinkler and it wouldn't go very far. So I don't use those anymore. Yes they're handy but I'd rather do a little work to get more water pressure. Just my two cents worth
What pressure washer unit is in the cabinet?
Mostly commercial applications
BE Power Equipment
@@qwertyay5155 DUH
you did not need a fancy kit for these connectors. You can find them at every hardware store.
I bought the quick connects from harbor freight and those things leaked
Who uses Teflon on harden hose connections??
Called a metal knockout and leave the hose permanently inplace
Gardena .. evrry european hose has this connector.
Those leak after a few months, atleast mine did, and cant be repaired
and now instead of teflon tape hell be taking even longer replacing orings😂
What pump I thay
The bent tip, right ladies? Lol
Garden hoses don’t seal in the treads Teflon tape is isles it should have a washer
Dont tell me thats not Standard 😅 in Germany everyone has some connectors in form lf some kind
Same in Australia 👌🏼. The US is oddly behind on this one
They're not at all new. They've been available in the US a long time, they just don't come on hoses generally.
$70 btw just for the connectors
Power washer on deck like that is fucking sick. That would turn any house into a fucking AAA crib lmao
No hataing but we have quick disconnect in europe for more then 30 years standard on every garden hose, Pressure washer...
I never knew that until I posted this video and I keep reading all the comments telling me that. LOL. I'll have to check that out next time I'm in Europe
What’s the brand name for that cabinet?
It was custom made, unfortunately I couldn't find anything on the market like it.
PRESSURE WASHER CABINET?!?
The best garage
You should try getting a 6' nozzle with a bend. It's life changing
As a sprayer at the end of the hose?
Hard pipe it in and call it a day
garden hoses use gaskets not teflon💀
But you don’t use Teflon tape on a hose fitting that’s what the rubber hose washer is for
