Happy New Year everyone! What better way to start off than with a different look at the greatest Middleweight in boxing history. In addition to being a huge puncher, Marvin Hagler had an incredible jab which he could throw from both stances and in my opinion he's the best switch-hitter of all time. The Marvelous one at his absolute best! www.patreon.com/haNZAgod
@haNZAgod Happy New Year to you too
❤
What a way to start the new year Hanza, Happy new year!
IceVeins Productions made a Hagler video with this exact beat as well. Great minds must have been thinking alike. Hagler and Rakim are truly a remarkable combination.
Carlos Monzon and Harry Greb
Marvin “natural headgear” hagler
Bro massively underrated comment
They told him: you wont have it easy. You are black You are good You are south paw His answer? Good. I've always hated easy. GOAT.
Joe Frazier told him that not “they” son.
Arguably the best to ever do it. He is in my top 5 no doubt
Yea you can make the case for that
One of my favourite boxer's
I was lucky enough to meet this man in Provincetown. I always thought that I was a good fighter until I met him and realized that I'm good against the average person...
My ALL TIME favorite boxer
His jab was so good. Very underrated part of his overall skill set. Also helped it was his naturally dominant hand too. Keep up the good work Hanzagod! 👊
The greatest middleweight champion ever imo RIP Marvelous Marvin Hagler
One of the greatest right next to carlos monzon.
@@watchdogsthebeast3540 agreed
Ray Robinson, Marvin Hagler and Carlos Monzon are my top 3 at Middleweight
@@matthibbs3165 all 3 r amazing
To me, he’s only ever lost once. A loss he avenged to Monroe. The others were robberies including the draws. One of the best ever
Only real boxers/boxing fans know but politics in the organization never favored Hagler, unfortunately
Lazer like precision. One of the greatest to ever do it. And the music Neva disappoints
Marvelous Jab & Defense. Sometimes its fun thinking and imagining yourself fighting one of these guys. what moves you would make, what strategys you could use. but against hagler ... no chance. with that southpaw jab he is always gonna be one step ahead
Most underrated and unappreciated boxer ever. He is the greatest
Undoubtedly the greatest Middleweight ever.
Who's your top 3 middles of all time?
@@ReservoirPunk .1Marvin Hagler 2. Sugar Ray Robinson. 3. Carlos Monzon
@@srr3097 Solid👊
Even the recognition he's getting now isn't enough for the performances he put out.
🐐
A beast of a boxer the greatest middleweight ever
Hagler's seamless transition from southpaw to orthodox and back is second to none...I haven't "studied " Hagler, but am a massive fan...I say this because I don't ever recall him getting caught swtiching. No one has done it better than the Marvelous one. RIP. ❤️🥊
Legend
An absolute warrior. Marvin was a beast.
Always happy to see Hagler's jab and Boxing abilities getting more attention! Jim Watt, Rafael Bazooka Limon and Michael Moorer also have incredible Southpaw jabs! Having a great southpaw lead hand is an underappreciated science!❤️ Alexis Arguello and Ricardo Lopez were masters at jabbing with southpaws as well!
Cold blooded
Marvelous ought to be very high on any list of ATGs and is one of my 2 or 3 personal favorites. Thanks for posting.
Masterclass N1,RIP
Hagler under rated. This man with made of steel. Super tough fighter one of my favorites of all time 100%. He was special got treated wrong
He's not underrated stop it
I'd say he was definitely underrated in his time and now he's fairly rated
@@critanalysis9546 I do agree with you there but why not when he was still with us? He was a very very tough great fighter. Great comment I got to give it to you
@@fightfannerd2078 I guess you haven't been following boxing for years like I have. He's gone now. At the time he was alive he put that man down treated him wrong. Now that he's passed you want to give him props? He earned everything he did
He was severely underrated during his career and outright hated on by a few people but Marvelous Marvin Hagler was the dominant fighter of the 80’s. Dominated his division, didn’t duck anyone, was massively entertaining, and carried himself like a champion should. He’s only getting his just due AFTER passing away.
Marvelous Marvin Hagler is one of my favorite boxers i always like how he would switch from southpaw to orthodox and threw lethal haymakers s/o to Hanzagod and Happy New Years 🎉 to all of the true pugilistic boxing fanatics 💯💯💯.
Happy New Year and much success haNZAgod! It's the self confidence in his heavy hands, steel chin, and athleticism that gave Hagler the smoothest switch hitting I've ever seen (mid combination). His jab form (along with his head placement) was text-book & fundamental from both stances, allowing him to bombard you with unexpected angles as he switched.
2023 started rather great
WAR, WARR🔥 A true Warrior
Excellent content man👍🏽
What a way to start 2023. Great video!!
Love your Hagler highlights
One of the best ever. I imagine he would be a trainers dream fighter to train
Great point! Stoic, humble, and relentlessly consistent
@The Swistory I bet the Petronelli brothers didn't fight have to fight with Hagler to get up and run
Thank you for delivering great content for the new year. The video is amazing as always. Best wishes for this year.
Sick one !!!!! Great content as usual . Amazing footage and a great beat to follow up with the action.
Gracefully dangerous in the ring and superbly elegant with his punches. The speed, timing, and connections were all so random yet went where they were supposed to go. Marvin Hagler really is Marvelous. RIP Champ
Superb, a master craftsman
Hanza, your content is excellence bar none. All of your videos give us boxing fans the chills from nostalgia or discovering an unsung great.
Haglers jab against hamsho was peak
Happy new year to you... what a beauty to see Hagler boxing... he is my all time-all sports hero ❤️❤️❤️ ...couldn't do a better gift to me than this vid, thanks ❤️🙏🔥🥊
Always love your music selection and vids, happy new year Hanza 🥊
Look at the footwork though. Simply amazing
Happy New Year and yes Marvelous Marvin had an incredible jab and his switch-hitting caused most of his opponents a little confused if he was going to box from southpaw or orthodox. Great video.
🥊Haggler was a great champion solid fundamentals. Like that new jack rhythm with the highlights.👍👍
Man that was beautiful I never seen an South pawl like that 😮 thanks bro
That footwork
Beautiful boxing
Best southpaw ever
Hagler, Whitaker, Pacquiao, Saldivar. The southpaw GOATs
Manny Pacquiao
@@Punchout101 Nah Hagler was a unnatural South Paw so it’s way more impressive.
@@srr3097 Hagler's great. No disrespect to him. But Pac did more with his southpaw style over a greater stretch of weight and variety opponents than Hagler did, who only stayed in middleweight and whose best win was a previously beaten Hearns.
@@Punchout101 you newbie fans are the worst. Hagler has more impressive wins than Pac. “He only competed in one division.” lol like you were watching Manny fight at 108 and 112. Nobody cared and he was irrelevant until he came to the US and fought Barrera. Hagler ruled a division for 7 years.
👑
Hagler was the ultimate badass
Grandioso ❤️❤️
Hagler was the best middleweight ever and one of my favourites. Rest on peace champ. Happy new year to everyone.
GOAT
Hagler never stays in one spot for too long. Which is smart. There's only a very fighters that can either beat or trouble Hagler in his prime.
When I think of a real tough guy I think of him ❤
Marvin Hagler should be in everybodies top 5 all time.
Top sem limite!!!
RIP Champ!
True ring general. True fighters heart. True human being. R.I.P. champ osss🙏🤙🙏🥇
"he is very accurate" Tony Sibson talking after his defeat to Marvin Hagler.
He was. Same with Julio Cesar Chaves Jr. The precision of Hagler and these past champs were something legendary that typically goes unnoticed.
😲Awesome.🍺🥩
Love this! Can you make a tape on my favorit boxer Rocky Marciano 🤔. I LOVE the vids
Hagler, le dieu de la guerre.,le guerrier absolu
One of the finest middleweights ever I can only imagine if he fought monzon that would have been a war. Hagler was so good especially at closing distance and my god what a chin this man had rip champ
🥊👌🏻
I love Monzon and Robinson and Hopkins, but no: Hagler's the best ever middleweight.
100%!
People unfairly pegged Marvin as a “brawler” Dude was the best example of a “boxer puncher” More than able to box, but can also knock your lights out
Hagler has a 52-0 KO record, 62-3 if you add decision wins and losses. Never been knocked out, got robbed by Leonard, avenged his other two losses. GOAT resume.
Absolute legend of the sport. How do you think a fantasy fight against Golovkin would have gone?
Not well for Golovkin!
Beterbiev is learning from Hagler to not let the Judges take the decisions to a scorecard and instead be the judge and jury yourself
And to think hagler only started gettin recognition or only started gettin payed good money after half his career was over
Middleweight with hands like a heavyweight Edit: and his reach OMG
Personally my best 160 lbser ever
You put Hagler against any middleweight in history and he’ll either win or give them a run for their money 🏦💯.
Masterful, fluid, rhythm, artwork etc!
The best southpaw in history he was actually ambidextrous not a switch hitter
If you switch stances consistently during a bout then you're a switch-hitter.
Ever since hagler died. Hagler has been getting a lot of attention from people. Straight up putting hagler on there top 10 GOAT list over a Duran or SRL out of know where just because hagler died. People calling hagler there favorite fighter. Fanboying over hagler just because he died when they were never fans of him or probably didn't even know who he was to begin with.
I haven't noticed that honestly. In my mind he's the greatest Middleweight of all time before and after he died, makes no difference.
Top 5 all time 1. SRR 2. Ali 3. Floyd 4. Hagler 5. Sugar ray Leonard or Ezzard Charles
