How To Minimize the Appearance of Under-Eye Hollows and Conceal Dark Circles
Hola, mis amores!
This is a topic and video that I have been wanting to tackle for a while. I get asked about under-eye hollows as frequently as I do about under-eye darkness. I wanted to ensure I devised a routine that genuinely worked before filming a dedicated video about it.
Hope you all enjoy this video and find it helpful :)

I've had raccoon eyes since I was a kid, and always got asked if I was getting enough sleep. Still struggling with my epic genetic dark circles, and now that I'm almost 40 it's rough getting anything to stay crease-free under my eyes! Love your vids, and hoping you'll have a holy grail for me :D
Same and same. I looked like a tired or sad/ scared child. And as I’ve gotten older, it’s only gotten deeper and darker. I’d look so much younger if only not for this :(
@@katherinefuller5267 I feel ya
i’m 29 and also always have hollows and they are quite darker than the rest of my face, and even my lid is slightly darker (which i don’t mind personnaly for the lid it’s like free eyeshadow lol). lately i’ve been using medicube age r device on my dark circles and my friend noticed that my skin looked good and my dark circles were lighter and i was like yeah i’m wearing concealer like usual and she said no like even your lids, your whole skin tone is more even ! And i’m not consistent with skincare products but i was using the device consistently for a week so I assume it’s thanks to that and there might be an « affordable » secret that actually has an effect☺️
Has anyone had actual significant positive experience using niacinimide under the eyes? I see it being talked about so much. I'm a simple gal, I grew up before all this makeup info and influencing happened, respectfully 😂 But I'd like to always improve and learn! Does that ingredient truly make a difference under the eyes regarding darkness? I ask, because the cost of under eye creams with and without that specific ingredient is what I see haha. I'll take any advice thanks!
@@fortune. I’ve had none. I’ve used a cream of one sort or another with it under my eyes for probably about 15 years now. It just keeps my purple, huge dark circles well hydrated 😂I asked my dermatologist who I’ve been seeing since 2012 if there’s anything prescription she could give me. She said she only knew of one Rx cream that had some efficacy (but very little) for the $300+ price tag. She said there’s virtually nothing out there that’s going to fix what I have going on under my eyes.
I am 73 and can't wait to try this awesome trick!
Wow, thank you Sarah! I've watched a million videos about concealing hollows, but the way you did it makes it look so easy!
Sarah I'm always so thankful for your content. Dark circles and deathly hollows club meeting called to order! I'm here for it ❤
What an amazing result! You are the only person I've seen who actually has dark hollows. Mine are considerably worse than yours because I am older, butit'ss great to see what can be done with the right products. (And skill of application, of course).
I’ve been watching these videos for the last few hours (don’t judge lol) and this is the FIRST one where I actually felt like I learned something useful. THANK YOU!! From one chick to another with hardcore circles. Thank you so much!! ❤❤❤
Thank you for doing this vid! Hi I’m a new friend to your channel from Kentucky, I’m now in my mind 40’s and the last few years I have been fighting stage 2 triple negative breast cancer and back on 2020-2021 I did almost a full year worth of 3 types of chemo and it caused me anemia and low blood platelets so all of that caused me to have bad dark circles. I looked so weak and sickly and when I lost all my hair lashes and brows I took a break from my own beauty KZhead channel and I’m now in remission and pray for good I want to get back to doing vids and want to look my best once again, but I’m still dealing with these dark circles. My body underwent a lot of chemo and 4 breast reconstruction surgeries so I’m guessing I’m stuck with these dark circles but thank you for helping me learn how to hide them. ❤
I have seen many KZhead classes on hollows. I saw yours for the first time and it's excited me to try because it's made such an amazing difference on you. Gonna try this for sure. Thank you Sarah 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I truly appreciate how you considered different lightings, this is my first time coming across your yo6u channel and i just subscribed! So excited to try this! You explanined everything so thorough yet so simple for a beginner like me, thank you so much for this!
I have the same eye hallow and bags problems even as a kid. Im not experienced with make up but I love the tip with the setting powder brush. Recently I tried using the beauty blender and it became so cakey I ended up washing it all off. I'm also looking forward to try the setting spray on brush before I blend. Thanks for the tips!
Omg thank you soooo much!! This is the ONLY thing that has ever worked for me. I’ve battled “raccoon eyes” since I was a teenager (thanks to autoimmune issues and genetics). This method is the ONLY trick that has helped me at all. Bless you, Sarah!
Wow! I am going to have to try these techniques! Such a difference.
Wow - best tutorial so far - than you so much Sarah! I don't have black circles - but bags under my eyes for sure. This all makes sense. Thank you! xx
Wow 🤩 I NEED to try this method! And I pray it works for me just like it did for you! Thank you! ❤
Thanks for sharing this tip. I will try this step.
Thank you for sharing this. I’m now insecure about my hollows but you have inspired me to leverage makeup. ❤🎉
Wow amazing job on hiding the dark circles. Thanks for the tips❤
Wonderfully done. I also love your thought of showing us how it looks under different lightings 🙌🏻❤️ Bravo!
Yes i have trifecta of darkness, hollows, mature fine lines ☹️
Queen!! You always do such a great job at these videos! No one explains like you and it's very much appreciated. Going to give this a try. I never used the setting spray so maybe that will help. I find that after about a half hour, my concealer is settling into my lines, and when I step outside, the lighting is different so it doesn't look as good as it did in the house. LOL
Brilliant video. Great job. Thank you, Sarah. Well done. Really appreciate it.
Thanks for sharing this technique. I need this.
Hi Sarah, Im in my mid 40s and Ive been trying your secrets to kinda hide some dark circles under my eyes. Thanks for all the help with brands, shades, yada yada, this is kinda foreign to me but so far so good. :)
This is so comforting ❤️
Thank you for viewing in different lighting. Technique is game changer!
I’ve seen a few videos (there aren’t many) of make up for under eye hollows and you’re is the BEST! I’d love to see one on concealing jowls for us full cheek girls!
Thank you so much ❤ I’ve had these since childhood, and don’t want to use filler … I’m hoping this will help. Thank you again ❤
This is magical
Thank you for making this video, so so helpful 🥰
Great video and demo! Thanks Sarah! I will spray my concealer brush from now on. What a good tip 😊
Such a great job!!!!! WOW!
Thank you so much! Can you do a video if your whole eye area is dark/hyperpigmented? So the eye lids as well
Omg I need to try this technique 😮💛
Looks great, Sarah. Really appreciate your Hollos and Concealer updates! (I was wondering about those Huda color correctors. Thanks for incorporating them in your tutorial.) Yes, these hollows and darkness are dreaded - and so hard to work with. Your tips always helpful!. Keep the tips coming! :-)
Great tutorial love this channel ❤️
Get the huda beauty corrector people 🤣♥️ like I got it because of Sarah and literally it covers my entire dark under bags!!!!! I have it in peach
It’s so good 😊
Truth! Even before I add skin, toned, concealer, or anything to it, it looks amazing when I blended out
@@angeliquenavarro263 right it makes a massive difference!! I just need to lower it alittle because my eyes get smaller when I put the concealer or corrector close to the eyes😂
Thank you for this video. Would you do these same steps for a minimal makeup look?
Cool. Never have seen using setting spray with concealer. 😎
Wow , amazing tips , will definitely try these tricks.. thank you , thank you!
Thank you, I struggle with this and have tried many correctors and concealers. Love the technique! Would you recommend the fenty concealer if we have under eye lines? I usually have a lot of creasing with some concealers.
Looks so good!
Thank you so much for the tips. You are so pretty, btw !
Holy hell that bare minerals was literal magic. I’ve got everything else bar that, I’m buying it and trying this whole routine!
This is amazing! I’m going to give it a go! 😊
Wow, that was amazing ❤
Hi! Love your channel. Can you share what moisturizer you use underneath before you apply this? Or do you not moisturize the under eye are before applying this product
My skin tone is a little lighter, how do I know what corrector color(s) to use? Love your video and the dramatic change…beautiful!
I’m definitely going to try this . I’m a deep hollow girly here
Wow! Thank you! I have needed this tutorial for a while! Yay! I can't wait to try your suggestions! :-)
Best easy description and tutorial ever re this issue 😮 thank you so much and new sub here🤗
This is really helpful, thank you!
Thank you. This is a very informative how-to guide.
Looks really good!
You gave me some new ideas! Thank you!
Great job! Love this! ❤🤗
Awesome tutorial!❤
Thank you so much for watching! ❤️
hey sarah :) do you like the huda corrector more than the becca one ? i’ve been using the becca for years but lately i found the greyness to be more and more visible
1st time seeing u, I was so impressed but then told myself, I need to see u in natural or sunlight. Thx for the surprise :D Now I have to try ur technique 😊
suuuper helpful, thank you!
Thanks, Sarah! The final result looks great!!!
Thanks Sarah, I have the same problem as you and didn't know how to do it. The only thing I don't understand is the difference between the two powders, could you explain what one powder does versus the other? Thank you very much and I subscribed to your channel immediately, because your technique is excellent. A big hug from Chile ❤️
Woow you did soo good and looks pretty ♥️♥️♥️ some one who does concealing well
Super useful vid! Thank you.
could you also show how you prep the under eye before makeup? x
I will try your technique
Fantastic job 😮❤
You have to try Kokie double time concealer! I tried 50 concealers before I landed on it!!!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. What brush did you use to blend the color corrector?
Great video, thanks for your tips.
Amazing difference, wow! 😍❤️🌹
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Have you tried Sali Hughes Ring Light? I'm waiting for mine to arrive!
Thank you!
Sarah which foundation you used in this video, it looks so like your skin
You are very talented.
What was the brush you used for the setting powder? I really appreciate this video. I feel seen and as a new person to makeup, this video was very informative. Thank you!! ❤️
Looks great, I have trouble choosing the right color concealer.
Sarah, thank you. This was such a beneficial video. I’m looking for to trying this technique.
Fab tips! Thanks
really great job
❤❤❤ Love your videos! Lots of love from Brasil!!
Thanks for watching! 😘❤️❤️❤️
Wow I think this as worked for me thankyou
Beautiful!
Is there a reason why u should use translucent vs powder w color?
Wow! I wish I could do that
Is there a reason you use a brush? I always thought fingers were best for under eye concealer because the warmth helps melt it into your skin. Is a brush better? xx
Great video...thank you!
Have you tried the bare minerals well rested to set? It's so brightening under the eyes.
Oh My God …❤❤❤❤ love it and thank you.
You may also want to get some tinted prescription glasses with clear frames so they look less nerdy.
After going through chemotherapy, I have hollow under eyes I would never do filler because it does not ever leave your body but I’m going to get fat grafting done. In the meantime doing this technique helps a lot!
My tear trough line is hardest to cover.
Love your account. 🖤
You are awesome! ❤❤
Any Recommendation for mature Under eyes dark circle correct or brand pls
Love it ❤
what brush did you use for the color corrector ?
Hello! Does the uoma powder work for dry under eyes?
Great video!
I love your videos. I’m almost 50 and I have just given up on trying to cover up my circles 😢
I got ten years on you and I've given up as well. I tried fillers and it was a nightmare, they ended up blowing my eyes up with lumps and I had to have it removed.
That made an amazing difference. But what about those of us whose undereye skin wrinkles up when we smile? I feel like that's where makeup tends to settle on me.
