Well Holy Mackerel! I am 64 years old and that was the first time anyone has shown me how to deal with my under eye bags. Every sales rep at every major cosmetics counter just sold me a concealer and told me to put it under my eyes which, of course, emphasized the bags. Bless you!

The tip about only putting the lightest shade on those dark crease areas IS GENIUS!! I tried this today and it looks FANTASTIC! So much better than usual when I cover the entire under eye area with the concealer! THANK YOU! How crazy I'd never heard of this before.

Being 62 now, I have never mastered how to use concealer! Your tutorials have totally articulated how to use ALL cosmetics! I am an optometrist and I appreciate that everything you say is accurate and true! There are so many myths about the fluid or fatty tissue around the eye being “removable” with products. How can you tell? The lights are so bright her face is completely washed out. It looks like she has some kind of filter on, too...you can't see any definition in her face -- it's so blurry. How can we know if it's a good product and/or technique when we can't even see what she is trying to hide to begin with. Sorry, I just find these videos frustrating.
@@justmemadison filter, lighting or whatever, it was more about the technique she used that I enjoyed most, you don’t need to have the same products that she uses it’s more about technique on the application of the concealer which I found very informative and I did try it and worked lovely on my @60+ face even though I don’t have dark circles or bags under my eyes. @@justmemadison I don’t know what your watching videos on but on my iPad, I could see everything Dominique was talking about, I just re watched her video because I was confused when you said about bright lights and didn’t remember lights being bright in the video, I could see the purple tones under her eyes that she’s talking about to cover.....So I stand by this being the best Technique I’ve seen in awhile plus Dominique is a lovely person on KZhead it appears.

Also wanted to say I started watching you almost two years ago right around the time I turned 30 & even though I was only 30 I thought I looked much older due to years of sun damage from tanning in my early 20s and teens and not doing really ANY skin care. This makes perfect sense. It's like spot concealing for the under eye rather than slapping a whole bunch of product on the entire area which doesn't always look good. I will definitely apply this technique to my under eye concealing.
This is definitely my issue. Dark circles & deep eye pockets. Too much concealer draws attn to the pockets. Great tutorial! Rewatching this & doing it right along with you.
You should do a video on how you used to contour five years ago and how you do it now to give a more lifted effect!!

It’s been a while since I’ve watched your videos. Not because I don’t think you’re great, but because I don’t wear a lot of makeup. Having just turned 55, I’m finding the need to “conceal” some facial areas, and this video is perfect. You are so beautiful, and I am struck by your inner beauty in that you will display your imperfections to us as a means to demonstrate concealing them. That takes a big heart.
Concealing under-eye imperfections can be a struggle. I appreciate this step-by-step tutorial for just this one area.

I first saw this technique on the Sephora channel a few years ago. I’ve been waiting for another Beauty Channel to hop on the eye bag train and conceal it the right way. Proper placement is key when dealing with shadows!!!

Exactly right! My husband grows his beard out for about four-five months, then he looks 15 years younger when he shaves. And, as long as he doesn’t let it grow too long, he still looks younger than me! I need to try this technique now!

I have never seen concealer done that way. Can't wait to try it, THANK YOU. My big issue, other than what you mentioned, in concealers is my wrinkly undereye area and bifocal glasses that magnify the wrinkles. Hopefully my new glasses will help hide some of it, fingers crossed! Can't wear contacts.
Yes great technique to try. And give contacts another try -after multiple fails over the years I tried again a couple of years ago at age 60 and found a brand that worked for me-no more bifocals magnifying things!!!
