And everybody else for that matter. That trainer refused to train shock for this fight because he knew it was not a good idea for Chuck to fight. His chin was gone it's been gone since his last few fights in the UFC when he got knocked out by Franklin and Rashad Evans among others. Oscar de la Hoya ought to be ashamed of himself for putting this fight on. Everybody else on the planet besides Chuck and him knew that Chuck was done. All this fight accomplished was it gave Tito some half-ass week bragging rights. De la Hoya is a shit promoter for MMA. He couldn't even pronounce Lidell's name correctly and that's the top fighter on his card lol. And he kept saying it wrong over and over. Said Chuck Lydell or some crap like that. @FlechFisher@FlechFisher3 жыл бұрын
    • @FlechFisher Training "through" injuries (inappropriately) is mental weakness because it means you're not strong enough to acknowledge your obstacles and limitations (you cant overcome or improve ignoring the problem/injury you got fix it) as far as the season goes I would rather be trained by Tito. I think Shamrock is emotional and the feelings he has for competition makes him a good fighter but a shitty (and sometimes selfish) coach. Tito was focused and single minded in his pursuit. I thought the guy was just a meat head but he surprised me.

      @shane1009@shane10093 жыл бұрын
    • @@shane1009 thats bullshit actually, ken is a good prooven coach, and tried his best with his fighters on tuf, they simply were wimps minus herman. like i said its ironic but both tito and ken have basically the same old school rough style of training or coaching, so you're basically picking the same thing. i just go with ken cause i like him better and respect more but its relative.

Watching Ken Shamrock trying to play pro-MMA modern coach honestly reminded me a lot of the Michael Scott character in the Office, so much unintentional humor. • @@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants I agree I wouldn't want to spar too hard on TUF when you are fighting 3 fights. It's just as a wrestler I do find Shamrock's style interesting because he doesn't know much about conditioning or wrestling but was still a great fighter at his time. On the other hand Tito's style reminded me a lot of my high school wrestling practices which were pretty tough but got you in great shape.

Also in this season, he was a tremendous coach, really boosting every fighters morale just by being on his team. Somewhere over the years he suddenly thought he was some shrewd business guy and became extremely pompous, verbose and nervous. He started fumbling his words and ended up in all the wordsmith-compilations.. I wonder what happened?

    • Was somebody trying to convince you otherwise or?? Or are you the most highly qualified person on the subject of TUF coaches? Not being a jerk just curious if we should know who you are?? Are people genuinely interested in what you think or was your comment one of those pretentious conversation starters meant to generate a friendly debate?? If you expect to be taken seriously maybe present some facts and arguments to support your hypothesis. KZhead is infested with these types of comments and there’s at least 8 people that share your take on it. But the people you want to have a conversation with won’t ever respond. If you want to debate why Tito Ortiz is the greatest coach ever shouldn’t provide some facts to back up your opinion??? If you want to be taken seriously or acknowledged answer the question you posed to everyone else. If you were just hoping to be noticed then you’ve got a score of at least 9 so far.
